  1. If Childe was deemed guilty because his association to the Fatui, then Lyney should have been sentenced too, since he is FAtui too.
On the other hand, Childe fell into the Abyss, when he was 14. The first person dissolved 20 years ago (it was stated that the case started 20 years ago)
SO the reason people started to dissolve have nothing to do with Childe.

  2. Childe has committed crimes (literally look at Liyue☠️) but he was like a child when the actual disappearances started to happen. My theory is either there’s smth wrong with the Oratrice or it’s bec he’s part of the Fatui. The Oratrice seems to be powered by the people of Fontaine’s thoughts, so maybe that has smth to do with it. Ofc that’s all js speculation and I’m sure smth about it will come up in 4.1 or maybe even the answers but we’ll have to wait and see

  3. I think its because the Oratrice judged all of his crimes from him being a Fatui Harbinger, but i might be wrong, idk if it judges only one crime or all unjudged crimes or whatevrr

  4. Well… regardless of why, given the 4.1 trailer it seems like Childe was once again used by the Fatui, this time instead of Signora it's Arlecchino. To me it seems very obvious, if I was planning to steal a gnosis without actually risking the position of the House of the Hearth and the children that live in it as well as my own "visa status" so to speak in the nation I was born in, then create discord in some other way so that the other side is forced to comply, that is, make it so that the Fontainian government mess up so badly that they create a diplomatic issue between nations. Childe's a troublemaker wherever he goes and yet he was assigned to the Northland bank again just as the events of the archon quest happened? Too much of a coincidence to actually be one. The Harbingers all know about Childe's past in the abyss, they most likely know whatever had him declared Guilty and with her wits I'm sure Arlecchino planned to use him to gain diplomatic leverage. Now, Childe is obviously not worth a gnosis and that's probably why negotiations failed, but it's a great first step to pretty much slow down the response from law enforcement and government when their hands actually get really dirty.

  5. The whale thing starting the chain of event is impossible, because he fell into the abyss at the age of 14 and he is not 34. The first case was 20 years ago in the game. Not to mention, the fatui link is unlikely as well for one simple reason: Childe is clearly at MAX 25. The first case was 20 years ago in the game, which means that when he joined the fatui, the thing had already been going on for 10 years. The Harbingers all work on their own to their own agendas and everyone knows that, so that can't be it

  6. He literally almost completely annihilated Liyue. He’s definitely not innocent. I don’t get why MC is so non-chalant about that.

Though it was probably because he was the one messing with the Oratrice during Lynye ‘s Magic show.

  7. Then again, Childe would never participate in murder like that. We know that Childe feels shitty about what he does at least to some extent because of his family.

And I dare say, Childe wouldn't willingly and knowingly participate in such a horrendous crime.
    He was falsely accused.

Especially if the whale theory is true because how was he supposed to know?

  8. It doesn’t matter tho. If it wasn’t brought up in court then it wasn’t used to judge the verdict. If it were like that then there would be no need for the case to happen and he woulda just been deemed guilty from the start and no mistakes would ever happen in court

  9. Yet hasnt the dissolving women case been there for 20 years, therefore childe is like 22 or 21. He would’ve mean 1 or 2 so he couldnt have awaken the primordial seas and he fell into the abyss at a older age

  10. This is a really compelling theory and it would be really cool to see it come true, my only gripe with it being that the disappearances took place over the course of twenty years, and while there is no established age for Childe (as far as I am aware), we Do know that he was in the abyss when he was 14 years old, so for the whale awakening and disappearances to line up properly, Childe would have to at the Very Least be 34 years old, if not older. And while his design could be a deliberate obscurant of his age (and could easily be written off or retconned as “abyss powers go brrrr”), he doesn’t look like he’s approaching his 40s (and I think writing off his age like how I mentioned in the previous parentheses would be incredibly lazy as it had no prior buildup whatsoever so revealing it this way would feel like, for lack of better words, an asspull)
