I've heard the yaksha's screams in both the jp dub and the english dub and I personally think that the english dub makes the hydro and pyro and geo yaksha's sound more in pain and suffering, but in the jp dub Xiao sounds like he's in more pain compared to the english dub.
I think those red spirits are actually not evil spirits, they are probably the spirits of the warriors who died there and still trying to stop anything from escaping out to the ground even though they already died.🥲
