Genshin Impact version 5.3 brought us Lantern Rite (Hypotenuse) with the ability to choose a four star for free. With so many good options, itβs a tough choice. But Iβve gotta say, the Lan Yan situation is crazy.
Genshin Impact is a gacha game with tons of powerful 5 star characters. But what if we ONLY used the 4 star characters instead. Of course, weβre going to impose some other rules onto ourselves to make it even more difficult, but could we complete all the content in the game including 36 stars in the Spiral Abyss?
We will be wishing on EVERY new rate-up character banner until we get a 4 star characters. Then, we stop pulling until the next banner. This means RNG will completely decide what characters we get to use, and prevents us from just pulling all the βmetaβ 4 stars whenever they show up. There are additional rules for when we pull weapons or constellations, but Iβll explain those in the video.

I already have a C1 Lan yan and i can get her C2 with this event but the problem is i dont use shielders, and i am looking forward to Xingqiu instead, so i wanted to ask if its the better choice or not?

You have to be careful how much you use level 1 Lan Yan though because if you use her too much she will become level 2 Lan Yan and then her special buffs might wear off

In some situations, Yan Lan is better than Zhongli. And when I say "some situations", means "meta situations". Zhongli is still better for many case but Yan Lan being a 4 start compare again an Archon is kinda crazy
Next year's lantern right shoukd definitely be "lantern 180 degrees" cause right angle is 90 degrees and 180 is opposite π

Congrats on getting through the Drills event! I was one of those suggesting to use the 5-star trial characters, but I'm glad you managed to get the points with the 4-stars.
Also, Lan Yan is really good! I got her C3 during my (failed) Arlecchino pulls, and I've been having so much fun running around with her. She's so adorable, and can hit enemies pretty hard.
(edit: Also, I absolutely LOVE fishing in Genshin. So relaxing, and I'm so close to 2k fish!)

See I guess I still don't understand the rules of the 4 star account. I though if you lose the 50/50 on the 4 star you pull more either on the weapon or standard banner and last episode you got a character (Benny), but you still lost the 50/50 because he's not on banner, but you're not pulling. Is it only if you pull a weapon the you do other pulls?
For chevreuse: are you holding the E? Cause sometimes it doesn't look like it.. also aren't you supposed to first do an overload reaction before the E? (Could be wrong i don't own her)

Honestly, until Kirara (3.7) came out, we've never really had a vertical 4 star character. Sure, Sayu was great horizontally and is faster, but getting hard-to-reach occuli without an anemo 5 star has been very limited. And, actually, I don't think you could get all inazuma occuli with only 4 stars until Gaming came out (4.4) because Kirara is limited to climbing and not high jumps. You could probably use the Wind Catcher gadget, but it is so annoying to charge up and doesn't allow you to solely rely on your characters.

The annoying natlan enemies are not weak against hyperbloom specifically, they are weak against fast elemental attacks like fischl c6, lisa, collei (sac), xinqiu (c6), amber burst, swirl reactions esspecially in aoe (heizou huge recommendation for electro charged), beidou in aoe, Ororon (esspecially because they have additional weakness against nightsoul), Dori burst (it has 0,4 sec hits but special icd so it destroys the shield like crazy but really bad application), Kuki burst. The reason why people assume it being weak to hyperbloom, is that there are a lot of characters that are used in hyperbloom.
