No matter what happens, at least I’ll be able to update my Yaksha timeline after this update. I need answers.

  1. Not gonna lie…I really wish my theory of us making a time travel to to the past where we meet the others Yaksha (and maybe make another one join the team, especially the pyro one) becomes true. Or a journey in a distorted Teyviat where things went in different ways for each country….meh, I'm a delusional man right?

  2. I like the Idea that the compass predates everything in Liyue since it sounds like Yanfei and Yelan talking about it casually means its either common knowledge within Liyue and it has been there ever since or it has been there ever since but only Liyue Qixings and Adeptis knew about the existence of it, since We get a whole World Quest about Zhiqiong bitter feelings about not having Power to know things in their World??

  3. the elements on the floor of the domain at 1:30 looks to have only 4 (anemo geo electro hydro) in a circle, which is odd because the missing element would then be pyro. And when it comes to the concept of four basic elements, it's fire water earth and wind. and it's not enough to represent the 6 elements in teyvat either, which leads me to believe this thing on the floor is directly referencing the yakshas.

So, my question then becomes, 'why is the pyro yaksha excluded?'.

    some food for thought

  4. The ominous purple eye said that "i have found your weakness" so i think the voice is manipulating them into insanity
    Xiao's weakness-: the electro yalsha
    Kuki-: her mother
    Traveller -: his sister
    Itto and yelan-: unknown

  5. Something that stands out so much to me is how, visually, Yelan’s Elemental skill resembles Dainsleif’s superspeed trick during We Will be Reunited. Maybe it’s a coincidence or maybe it’s not?

  6. I always thought the alternate library in Enkanomiya was a pocket dimension, or something similar at least. So you don’t have to worry about alt timelines or anything, you just recreate the one room, stuff it with copies of significant books, link it to the picture frame, and lock it with a very specific and somewhat esoteric puzzle that will require skill and intelligence and all those traits you think will let whatever poor sucker is the next to find the forbidden books actually survive the experience.

  7. I haved noticed that the compass in the chasm part shows a certain word in liyuenese not gonna say chinese cuz i not sure it is if it was I would ask my mother to translate but when its hands or arrows? Whatever points north 2 of which shows the its in a tree irimesal ig but during the cataclysm sky u can see the whole thing almost powerless like all the ley line power was temporally stopped but ig morden time its back and working also how in the world u built or get a huge multiple compasses/mechanisms in a domain and another qns were they from above too? Like Yanfei can describe what it is how does she know this unless there instruction inside the domain i say fair or her father had somesort of blueprint or book or asked madam ping for stories Yanfei is only 20+ as you recall right? Her mother is still alive Yanfei couldnt possibly know machines from if they were created a long ago 2500 years ago if not longer orrrrrrrr I could be overthinking everything…. no I dont think so but still I no theory crafter at all I can infer thats all I wont know how to explain too I will leave the experts to it instead

  8. 1. Yes the red scene with the compass does look a bit like the Lumine scene in khenriah but idk it reminds me more of Ei's plain of Euthaimia when we visit it the first time

    2. The Yaksha trailer clearly suggests the the Geo, Pyro and Hydro Yakshas as Zhongli says " Death came to 3of them" while simultaneously crossing out their masks so I don't think it's the Geo Yaksha

    3. It's most unlikely that the person Xiao's talking to us his former master because Xiao says " if you were still alive….. Why didn't you come back"
As horrific of a person Xiao's master is (atleast from what we know) i don't thinking Xiao would want him to come back

    4. A question @Ashikai do you think the Old man in the Beginning is planning to give his seat in the Qixing to Yelan?
    That would be crazy

  9. There's one thing I have to nitpick here. In the world quest The Yaksha's Wish, Bosacius says in the note that "of our number, only Alatus and I remain." So this could change your timeline depending on who Bosacius is. If he's geo yaksha, this puts his madness and disappearance after electro yaksha went to the Chasm. If he's electro yaksha though… This means that by the time of the cataclysm, only Xiao and him are alive or at least accounted for. This also means Xiao has been working solo for 500+ years. Ha ha… haaaaa.
To me it makes more sense if Bosacius is electro yaksha who called it quits, but still came back to fight during the cataclysm because he couldn't stay there with his four arms crossed while people died and only Alatus was holding the fort, or Rex Lapis' call made him change his mind.
My personal theory is that Venti's encounter with Xiao was previous to the cataclysm because 1. he'd have his own problems at home with Durin and then Dvalin, and he fell into a slumber and 2. it seems to me that Venti hasn't visited Liyue for centuries from Zhongli speaking about his Mondstadt friend's visits in past tense (unless this happened in a dream or Venti time traveled because Istaroth intervened)

  10. It's a good thing you're not making those "X things you missed in Y" videos … I usually tend to give them a thumbs-down if they do not contain the claimed number of things I actually missed. 😛

But the first point you raised is one I have been thinking about, too. How many hypotheses(1) flying around in the lore community might actually be based on bad translations? It's a good thing to check the Chinese original, I guess.
Personally, I play with English audio and German text, and I noted that – while the over-all quality (in terms of understandability and spelling mistakes) of the English translation is better – the German translation seems to be closer to the Chinese original (Divine Eye and Divine Heart instead of Vision and Gnosis, primordial/ancestral god instead of Allogene, etc.). So I'm curious what that "compass" will be called in German. At least it looks more like a "Kompass" compass (the thing that points to the north pole) than a "Zirkel" compass (the tool you use to draw circles). 🙂

    (1) [puts on science nerd hat] Because, you know … in science, a theory is something that describes the currently accepted 'truth' about something (as in, e.g. Einstein's Theory of General Relativity). Everything else is just a hypothesis. [takes off science nerd hat] 😀

  11. "Artifact sets only describe dead people"

You of course mentioned there's 1 exception (scaramouche) But whay about Signora, and the other harbingers in the pale flame set? You yourself said that you think Signora isn't dead, so there's not just the 1 exception

  12. I´ve been looking forward to uncover more about the mistery that is Xiao, the character that made me obsessed about the game back in the day. My favourite character alongside Albedo.

  13. they are also showcashing Xiao now, to coincide with the ZZZ release. Which has a character with a yaksha like mask, except the other characters can wear it for a yet unknown reason.

  14. Heck at this point learning if the twins have a surname or any other family would make me happy 🤣
The mystery is fun and all but I think now is a good time to get some scraps.

  17. Also, that strange object looks like Bennet's constellation: Rota Calamitas. Maybe it's not a "Wheel of Misfortune" …it could be a "Wheel of Calamity" if this thing is related to all the previous calamities.

  18. Ever since we heard that Yelan has been to The Abyss I’ve been trying to figure out if she could somehow be Skirk. It probably is just because she looks like what I pictured Skirk would look like (including being Hydro like Childe) but overall I guess it doesn’t really line up. That being said, she does seem to have mysterious origin and the fact that she’s apparently going to learn something about her origins in The Chasm means she might be from Khaen’ria or the Abyss right? So maybe she has some Connection to Skirk as well?

  19. I actually kinda think that rather than showing us nightmares, the domain will show us our greatest desires to lure us in. For example, showing us out Sibling being happy and showing Shinobu her family accepting her, etc. And then we do get lured in, and that’s what the voice is referring to at the end as “I found your weakness”
