  1. Tbh I'm more interested in how they make the jump from edgy evil to The Wanderer. That will probably decide for me if I want to pull for him in a rerun banner, because right now even with his tragic backstory I can't stand the guy. Same was for Signora. She also had a tragic backstory but something is missing for me to even feel enough to really care.
Childe is completely different. I like and respect the guy. He is not evil for the sake of being evil when he was first introduced and also later down the road.

  2. I'm looking so forward to his quest as technically this will be the first time (as far as I remember) where we can actually witness a playable character getting a vision on screen. Hands down writing/lore wise Scaramouche has too be my favorite character in the game. I'm ready to whale for him if I loose my 50/50

  3. Don't know if it's just my brain auto-filling songs based on singular notes but some parts of this teaser music reminds me of 'Destined Parting' (the ost from We Will Be Reunited), which makes everything sound even more emotional.

  4. The problem with Scaramouche for me was that his evil wasn't for "the greator good" or even for any selfless reason.
It was just him going through the motions of what he was told to do or for power without a reason for it.
Though I also don't think he actually did anything comparable to the other Harbringers.

While someone like Ei, thought what she was doing was going to keep most Inazumans safe.

Tsaritsa and Pierro know they are doing evil, but their goal is the greater good for all of Teyvat, not even just Snezhnaya.

Childe is partly doing what he does to keep his family safe.
Even La Signora seemed to be a real fan of Tsaritsa ideology, basically "I don't want others to go through what I did" so she was doing the whole "few suffer now, so no one needs to suffer later"-type of a thing.

Abyss has a semi-selfish wish, but it's also centered on other people. Celestia is a negative on the world and we want to bring back those we have lost.

  5. there is no black and grey in genshin everyone has been abused or broken down into their twisted morals even pierro the first harbinger must have suffered all those years from his own homeland being destroyed

edit: here on brazil we call wanderer, Vanderlei

  6. I think you would LOVE MarcoMeatball’s channel. He is an opera singer who uses music theory to breakdown video game osts and he recently started doing Honkai breakdowns that are scarily accurate and detailed ❤

  7. I don’t think that Anemo necessarily represents freedom from past trauma bc Kazuha and Xiao didn’t lose their loved ones until after they got their visions and Jean and Sucrose never lost any significant loved ones. I think an anemo vision simply represents that the person values freedom overall and doesn’t necessarily relate to losing a loved one or past trauma

  8. … My brother in Christ, I haven't even done the archon quest but the music hits hard enough to compensate… Like, Kiana walking toward Fu Hua hard. We might have some gripe with Genshin but damn I love this game

  9. My nickname for him as of late has been Horo. It's short for Horoko, which is the combined Japanese characters for "wandering" and "child" or "Wanderer"; it also neatly and coincidently is very similar rhythmic pattern of Kokoro, which is the Japanese word for "Heart": the thing that he is looking for c:

  10. My guess is not be born at all means deleting "Scaramouche" existence through Irminsul. Though not sure how it will affect his past actions, and how they'll change the story as Raiden's first puppet.

  11. Never liked him either. He's more of a directly evil murderer than Otto ever was. Otto did things because he found them necessary. Scaramouche seems to have done evil because he enjoyed it, and that's way worse.

However, in true miHoYo fashion, they managed to turn my opinion of him around just a little bit with his reaction to losing his "mother's" gnosis. It's easy to write a character to love. It's hard to write a character to hate, and then make you change your mind about them. miHoYo is a master at that.

…wait. Doll with a tear after someone died? Flashback to the Bella doll in Second Eruption.
