iPad Air 4 – Genshin Impact – FPS Performance Test

Hey guys, as requested, in this video we will be testing the latest iPad Air 4 in Genshin impact as an additional method in measuring the performance of the latest iPad Air versus the latest iPad Pro.

Overall, the performance of the iPad Air 4 with Genshin Impact, was lackluster. I was more shocked that the iPhone 12 Pro Max outperformed the iPad Air 4 in my tests. To make matters worse, I tested a second time in mondstadt, hoping performance would change – thinking maybe dragonspine region was the culprit. However, I was met with the same mediocre FPS Performance. This test has definitely left me perplexed with the outcome FPS and Battery results. The iPad Pro maintained a consistent 60 FPS while the iPhone 12 Pro Max averaged 58 FPS. Both iPad Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max manage to have better battery temps as well.

However, with all of this being said, Genshin impact isn’t an official benchmark and despite “okay” performance, this test doesn’t completely define the GPU and CPU performance of the iPad Air 4. Let me know in the comments your thoughts and speculation on what could potentially be the cause of these performance results.

Please stay tuned to my channel as I will be preordering the S21 with the snapdragon 888 next week and comparing it against the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Please enjoy the rest of the video, subscribe, stay safe, and take care!

  3. I am still going to get this iPad. It will be my first one and I am pretty excited to learn procreate. The gaming will just be a bonus lol so it doesn’t have to be perfect. I plan on getting an iPad Pro later on though.

  5. Well it is pretty much better compared to android and a bigger screen is better for me . Infact it is a good alternative to laptops for students with touchscreen and apple pencil and wireless keyboard support .

  7. Hi! I'm deciding whether to go for ipad pro 128 GB or ipad air 256 GB. i'll be using the ipad mainly for studying and notetaking and just a bit of gaming on the side. Which would be more practical and cost effective?

  9. I am thinking of getting iPad Air or pro …. I have iPad 7th generation but after iOS 15 it is starting to lag even if I am on YouTube…. It is a basic 32 go ram model and it’s been around 2 yrs since I bought it…. But I had to remove many apps to accommodate the apps that I use like Procreate and GoodNotes… but 32 go really limits the performance and now that the new iPads have A14 and A15 … my iPad with A10 is very lacking in terms of power
