In genshin to get 8 characters to 90, 1-2 talent at 10 and very good artifact (and also the needed characteers for some teams) was so slow, soooo slow
look at honkai now, in the first 14 days of play if you pick pass and daily gems, doing 4 refresh every day you can get at TL 50, with at least 12 characters at 60/60 with all ascension material prefarmend and every light cone in use also at 60/60 (with all the materials also pre farmend for most of all), all traces that matters at 6 and the others at 3-4, you get 1-2 five star weapons (free and not) and at least 2 five stars
sure, you don't farm relic to get all thi stuff done in your account this but can you see the illusion of progress that they can make? you are at 50 in 14 days and you can start farming for relics if you want at that point, you go so fast just to get walled so hard the moment you start the grind to 60 but you wanna be able to remain fast, to catch up, to clear hard content and so spend, you pull for meta 5 star units, you whale refresh for relics and grind materials
in genshin you were bored so much to death at one point that you were tempted to spend just to get something new to max out and to play and test, or, the player were waaaay more in love with the characters that even if they don't need to pull, guess what, he is my fav, he is gonna be my main, he is key for the team of my dreams, i am in fomo, i am gonna pull. I don't see either of this so much in honkai
here it's not the "waifu/fav over meta, over every coin we have" or "i spend bc i am bored to death or for the fomo of my fav" here? players spend to f refresh most of the time bc they feel so close to get at the start of the real fun and yet, they feel also so far away, it's whole new level and thing are gonna be even more insane in the next months
p.s. even the story phase and daily mission and grind is faster in honkai vs genshin
Gotta say i dont get hate(dislike?) for genshin theory crafters,if they enjoy being optimal in a casual game let them be aint harming anyone.
its more helpful overall giving people who lack either time,knowledge,skill or just cant be bothered to think, a way to know what stats a unit wants to work properly.
and given how recent abyss have been esp. current 3.7 floor 12-1 which stumps alot of people id say there is a reason why the genshin tc community exists.
but i do agree in games like league, where being Hyper optimal in nonranked games and raging at people for not playing exactly as optimal as they should be with the "optimal" build, that said raging player would use in your position and flaming you to hell and back until you either end the game or use their build. that is a problem i seen all to much.
its rarer in genshin as its mostly single player content but it also exists.
getting harassed because you build a character in a different way than the general consensus says or using"Suboptimal" teams with"suboptimal" characters,
or Gods in heaven if you enjoy "bad" characters like dehya and succesfully clear abyss with her with a build thats fun and works.
Now you just commited a hatecrime against….someone dunno been getting raged at alot cause of it, but aint blaming the tc community they just give the info cant blame them for foolish people being foolish and using to for harassment.

Why would anyone dedicate themselves to a single game year after year? Common..
I felt that when he said that hoyo doesnt care about ppl who play for the combat and only care about casual players…..sadly when you bring this up genshin players say "the story is amazing you just dont understand the game"
Honestly still worried about Wuthering waves as a game, cuz it just doesn't have a solid identity right now. They're going back and forth between genshin 2 and not genshin, casual and hardcore. I think the devs should take another whole year for Wuthering Waves at least cuz it needs a lot of work.

I feel like, comparing to honkai 3rd, Genshin's update is……..awkward
The events might be quite fun sometimes, but I see no progression in anything
Im into Honkai since Every version, they add more main story
But Genshin…they finish the main story in the first 3 or 4 versions, then they move on to all events
Honestly my biggest problem with the Genshin TCG event is the fact that they don't let you use your own decks. The event is boring as it is and I put in a decent amount of time making a few awesome decks and I don't even get to use them.
New games around the corner, most content creators have milked it for all it is.
Drama sells and the biggest drama milker is to quit doing it and go out before it tanks (Honkai Star Rail just showed us it is Honkai Impact and Genshin combined into a turn based RPG. It is more of just the same.)
You people have all been making the same arguments and the same gripes for well over a year now. Seriously consider getting a grip, particularly if you all supposedly quit the game a while ago. No normal rational person still goes on about a video game this long after stopping enjoying it.
Every time Teccy mentions the character and NPC issue I Leo DiCaprio point at the screen. Why the hell are they still making us talk to the same looking dumb NPCs 40+ characters into this game….
I honestly thing that CC and regular player quitting Genshin is good for the game, i hope they HYVS realize that their game is not that engaging anymore and do something about this game.

Most, if not all, of my friends have call it quit with Genshin. Lately it started to hit me. Log in, do dailies, burn resin (except I haven’t done this ever since like 3 weeks ago because I have long hoarded the resources throughout the time + there’s no new character until 4.0 worth farming) no longer do it for me.
For now my plan is to wait until 4.0 leaks to surface. If they add things that make Genshin a “video game” that I can play, instead of just daily chores, I’ll stay. Otherwise, I’m considering to join what my friends did.
Hoyo wanted to kill genshin istg. Like, seriously whoever design the geowolf and drillheadass worm moveset needs to be thrown into a jail. Don't even mention how absurd the abyss rn. It's just a longs ass DPS check against enemies that either freeze you or stays on the ground 40% of the time.
I am about to make some comments that might hurt some people. I am not WHITEKNIGHTING but here it goes:
This guy didn't even play 3.x and is now comforting and making his points based on another guy who played almost full 3.x
Everybody knows the later patches become dry and are a way for people to catchup on progression; mainly exploration. I'm talking about people like me who get to play 1 hour approximately daily, sometimes I am so tired that I don't play. so we aren't able to progress as much as other people.
So making a review like this is just dogshit IMO. And when he says 4.0 would be good ofc it would be good like it has been in other big updates when new regions come out as it is just a breath of fresh air to wander around in the new area.
I do understand sone of the points he repeatedly makes but you have to look at those from both sides of the coin.
I have watched Tectone's content on and off since he was playing Summoners war but I think he is now lost in his own world where he just shits on the game just for the sake of it.
I wanted to play Genshin and I did for a long time. However after I went to boot camp and stuff, I had been seperated from it so long that I can't be bothered to hop on it sometimes. Grinding artifacts and all that I can't be bother to start doing it all again. I also am a bit of a completionist so I like doing every quest and maxing out stuff like the sakura tree or whatever. (I am not maxing out the discovery for each region that is bonkers)
no the irony should be he is quitting genshin and claiming to touch grass while going to an anime con and yet he visited the nikke booth….
nahh this shit dun have a good new player experience. I malded everytime having the lack of resource to build a new character just to fight an enemy cuz the character that needs the mats cant fight the boss ffs. plus the content lock for ascension mats and everything really boils my piss. Plus there's no skip dialogue and early story quests sucks balls especially zhongli shopping spree one

I'm a hardcore player and yes….try hard in casual game doesn't prove anything, i already AR60 and beat the abyss casually.
It's been pleasured to play the game since it released and i guess it's time to move on.
i wonder if the Reason i enjoy Genshin's Combat so much is because i don't Use the same 3 Supports, i'll just Throw Whoever i feel like playing or whoever i enjoy playing into a Party and Smash my face against my Keyboard and have fun that way.
