2 Things You MUST Do Before Sumeru If You Are Under AR 45 | Genshin Impact

Out of all the things you can focus on right now. You should absolutely prioritize these two things. I think for most people you will see that Sumeru will be the lifeline of Genshin for the next few months and making sure you are ready for it will be of the utmost importance.

  1. Oh wow, I’m sort of a new player (started playing at 2.6) and I’m surprised you named the 2 main dps I’ve been using from the beginning (Razor and Yanfei). I thought other people thought they suck for some reason.

  2. "build an on field carry first"
So, you're telling me did something wrong when finished everything the game had back then in 2.2-2.3(apart from the higher abyss levels) with only 4 sub-dps 4-star characters xD

  3. My first account was a Mona main. Probably with Thoma razor and diona lmao. Once I got to world level 5 my DPS Mona just wasn't cutting it. Progress got slow and painful. I started a second account with ganyu and flew through content. Haven't touched the Mona account even though it has hu tao childe eula and Miko lmao. My second account has c2 raiden, c2 Miko, C1 yelan. No reason to go back lol

  4. I forgot who’s advice I took, but I remember when I first started I heard someone say to build the dps first and so when I got Razor I focused on him first. The game after that wasn’t too difficult for me.

  5. I really disagree on the bosses. First of all, if you're making a new player guide and referring to those who haven't accessed Inazuma yet, you shouldn't be mentioning spoilers of who the bosses are. It should be "the two Inazuma weekly bosses".

Second, talents up to 6 are fine for early game. They can figure out what bosses for resin use when they decide to pump the talents higher for their mains. And if they need Inazuma bosses, they're using Inazuma characters that need the base region unlocked just for mats. So they're not even at that point to need high talent boss mats. So aside from "remember to spend enough time in Inazuma to unlock all the islands, domains, and bosses, for resource purposes, before getting yourself too distracted with Sumeru" the bosses really aren't necessary to worry about for high priority, unless they happen to be building a lot of characters that use them.

  6. People who are between AR30 ~ AR40 always ask me when to grind artifacts?
I say AR55, then they say why so late?
It's simple: guaranteed legendary drop; if you struggling with bosses, domains just do co – up; gladiator & wanderer troup set hyper carry artifacts even to end game plus very versatile

Glad to see guide for beginners Walruss even I'm AR60 😄

  7. Kaeya is the best main DPS because of his high damage multipliers and ability to heal which will be essential for new players rather than a new Inazuma 4 star or some unattainable 5 star

  8. You disappoint me, Walrus…. You mentioned Diluc… BUT MY GIRL EULA DIDN'T EVEN GET A LOOK IN!?!? lol

My main account is up to date and full of great characters but I have an F2P account that i might work on I have Eula on both but i'm mid Liyue on my F2P account and Eula is baby Eula atm compared to my triple crowned eula on my main account xD

But yeah going back to early game stuff like this is refreshing to say the least. New player guides ect could be a thing you could delve into in the context of "Late to the party" or whatever.

    Great video as always 🙂

  9. Sekapoko also made a video after speed running Genshin by building the proper supports first over the DPS and in includes all the things you can and should build first and NOT opening up the AR levels Right away when there is a domain stop. The Video is called "WORLD RECORD! Adventure Rank 30 In 1 Day Playing Genshin Impact F2P Speedrun"

As someone that started at launch I can agree that building whatever you have is a bad idea! There was no Main DPS to have at that time easily and my Noelle C6 carried me over Klee because Klee was always getting one shot in the open world at AR levels that were too high.

Wheither you going the good 4-star support route first or 1 main DPD. Build your 4-star artifacts so that they are kitted out so that you don't die. Character level, talent, weapons then 4-star artifacts so when in 1-2 months you can start to farm 5-star artifacts you are not dying in the domains. 😉 I basically suffered through very step up to AR50 while playing this game. lol

  10. Personally, when I began playing Genshin since 1.1, I came across one video from a Genshin streamer whose advice I stick to even to this day which is, "Do not rush the content." Even though Walruss said you should get to Inazuma as soon as you can, I have tried playing the game on a fresh new account and boi, I think we older players forgot how it took days to complete the content.

This is due to the fact that when Genshin was released, we were under lockdown and had plenty of time to cover a lot of ground but nowadays, people are returning back to their lives with school or work, it will definitely take a longer time for newer players to do whatever they have to do to reach to the same point with older players.

Still, I stick to my point which is to advise newer players is to never rush because if you do not enjoy the journey and the story, what else are are you left with later on when you get into the future?
