Genshin Impact Finally Has Some Competition…

In this video I talk at length about the new Wuthering Waves CBT2 and how it could finally bring an end to Genshin Impact’s terrible rewards and decisions, I go over opinions on Wuthering Waves from creators including Doro44 and Tectone and discuss how much better the game will get when it is fully released and whether it’s enough to take on a giant like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. Find out in the Video!

Hope you enjoy the video!

  1. you know, this is actually pretty exciting, glad that even content creators are thinking the game is fairly good and might compete with genshin. i dont have massive expectations, since i dont wanna be disappointed, but i am looking forward to it

  2. from the videos that i've seen of wuthering waves, it does def look like it has some competition in store for Genshin, not to the point where it will kill the game but it should light a few little fires under hoyoverse's feet on listening to what their community wants. I LOVE Genshin, I still play it and do my dailies and grind up characters with my friend who also still plays, I played it the day it released to the point I burned myself out. But like others in the community, I am on board with saying they just do not listen to us. Just like Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin and it's players are being left in the dark so they can keep cashing off of Star Rail and that there lies the problem. Hoyoverse makes good games but they are making too many. The more games they make the more their other games from before are lost to time I mean just look what they did this past year, as a thanks for our commitment they gave us 3 wishes and meanwhile Star Rail your getting 80 free pulls and a free 5 star character. I want to see Genshin thrive, but at the road Hoyo is going down I worry it's going to be left in the dust along with HI3

  3. The game is honestly amazing, i've had the chance to be one of the few who got access to the game who are not content creators and i have to say, it is such a different experience from genshin. Of course it's gonna be compared because it's the same genre but damn they really nailed the combat mechanics, they combined their other game (Punishing Gray Raven) with genshin and made the best possible outcome.

It's so liberating knowing that you have to fight to deal damage, every boss is difficult to the point of asking you to invest more and more on your SKILLS instead of just Characters. The dodging mechanics feel great and so does the parry.

Looking forward for the full release of the game, and to see the new characters they will come up with.

Disclaimer: If you want to experience this fighting style, try their other game I've mentioned above. It's honestly amazing.

  4. Unfortunately for genshin. Even if they're starting to listening to their player base NOW, at this very moment, it would not have that much of an effect. I'm saying this because I do not believe they can make ANY change drastically within just a few months because they can't even make a simple god damn load out after 3.5 years. How are they gonna make any changes that completely turn things around within just a short time ? And yes they might change it slowly from now on, BUT there is a term called snowballing effect. Since they have not started to change earlier, now when the storm is coming, even if they try to build a house now that storm would sweep everything away.

  5. Wuthering Waves is definitely competition. The problem tho is that the only way for Genshin Impact to change is to lose players. And let's be real, the only players that will drop Genshin for WuWa are the hardcore players and the burned out players, which, you know, are a small fraction of the playerbase. The normies, the addicted players and the stans will 100% stick to Genshin and these three categories, together, are the vast majority of Genshin's playerbase. So, will WuWa damage Genshin? Yes, but not enough to where the Genshin devs will be forced to change the game. And frankly speaking, who even cares? I got into CBT2 and I'm having a blast! Ladies and gentlemen, Wuthering Waves is basically Genshin Impact but done x10 better. Genuinely, who needs Genshin to improve anymore? All we need is Wuthering Waves and HSR. The only thing Genshin has going for it at this point is just mint picking.

  6. Genshin abandoned it's hardcore/veteran players, so WuWu can definitely compete if they focus on them. But again, Genshin doesn't care about them in the first place so it's likely they'll make no changes.

  7. Wuwa definitely wins with the combat focus. The only major concerns which it's NOT ever touching Genshin on are:
    1) Accessibility
Genshin is still playable on mobile, Wuwa does not work on mobile. Also, this game by nature of being more hardcore; is not designed for casual play.

    2) Open World
Because of Wuwa's serious combat focus, the open world has to suffer, not in terms of looks persay; but you can't have a lot of stuff in the open world distracting you from the combat which is why Wuwa sticks to a more empty open world.

Overall though, it's good to see some competition from a dev team that actually has ideas. Not like the mess that was Tower of Fantasy.

  8. "genshin killer" rofl not the first time and for sure not the last time this two word will be used.
Right as we speak the cn and some north america content creator tries to bycot the game, meanwhile genshin just hit record sells, yeah.

The logic that comes from content creator on youtube is beyond laughable at this point.
