The Time Has Come… [Genshin Impact Geo Only]

Zhongli is officially rerunning in version 5.1 of Genshin Impact. As this is a geo only account, we need to have our geo archon on the team. But with no guaranteed pity, and only about 50 pulls saved up, this could go south fast…

This is one of the rare opportunities where there’s a character coming up that is a rerun, and we want to pull them on a challenge account. So for possibly the first time ever, we are taking the time to prefarm everything we’ll need to get him to level 90 with 8/8/8 talents right away… Of course, we don’t have enough primogems to guarantee getting him but let’s not focus on that…

Geo is often viewed as one of the ‘worst’ elements in Genshin Impact… Time to try and change that. Can we beat Genshin Impact using ONLY Geo characters? Only time will tell.

  9. Off the topic of Zhongli, but, at 35 pity I got Neuv from a random single pull, which just further solidifies all my luck is in the Fontaine characters! Navia, Lyney, and now Neuvillette, and honestly, the Fontaine guys are my favourite designs, anyway.

  18. Zhongli doesn’t deal TERRIBLE damage, and his actual damage scales off of ATK rather than HP, It’s just boosted by a percentage of his HP so PJWS giving him a load of ATK isn’t that useless especially because it still gives a ton of Crit Rate

    And his burst does have a 900% multiplier at Level 10…

I have been playing this game for a while now i really wanted zhongli it was the first banner that i got a 5 star on and lost my first 50-50 to qiqi (yeah qiqi was my first 5 star) ever since then i wanted revenge i grinded for him since the mualani banner but when i was "building pity" i got kinich so i was on a 50-50 and i didn't want the history to repeat a gain but atlast i got zhongli. I have no idea on how building a character works i have slapped hp artifacts on him he is at like 55000 hp is it enough for a good shield bot?

  21. I feel your pain! I prefarmed for him too, including artifacts, and somehow only had just enough resources for LV90, with 1-8-1 talents. Now I'm out of mora, materials, and books, but it was worth it (I managed to get him on a somewhat acceptable crit ratio, 64.4/171.3)

    It's also funny that I also put PJWS on him like you did. 😅

  25. Personally I'm in favor of the burst dmg Zhongli build. I only really use him in my Mono geo team so the Dmg is nice to have. I have Jade Spear with HP sand, Geo dmg and Crit Dmg.

  36. I don't think a hybrid build is going to work very well on Zhongli. At C2 you at least get a shield when you cast his Burst, but at C0, you're basically only getting damage from it… and since it's such a long cast, that damage has to be pretty significant to justify the time spent in animation (vs just swapping in a stronger damage dealer instead).

    I'd recommend you either build HP% for his shield and ignore his Burst completely, or go all-in on the damage build with ATK%/Geo%/Crit artifacts. The shield will still protect you from being staggered by a hit even if that hit causes the shield to break. From my own experience running him ATK%/Geo%/Crit, the shield should last 1-3 hits regardless even against the meanest enemies. (Full disclosure: I do have my Zhongli on Homa, so he has I think 20% HP from the weapon passive in addition to whatever he has in substats and the 20% from TotM.)

    Zhongli does get some damage from HP, but he gets more from ATK, so I prefer to sacrifice the strength of his shield to make meteor do big number.

    I do not recommend running Zhongli as a physical dps on this account. Physical dps is pretty reliant on Superconduct, which you don't have access to. (Not that I would ever recommend running Zhongli as a physical dps lol, but it would go especially poorly for Geo Only!)

  37. an idea for a later gameplay: Guaranteed Characters only (ie. that subset of characters that everyone has) and no constellations (from later free giveaways) .. and no coop farming.

RMEINDER TO FISH FOR FURINA FISHING WEAPON ON SWORDS ONLY (no fav isn’t good on her) IT GIVES YOU CRIT RATE ON SKILL AND HELPS WITH ER (which is what fav does) ALSO FISH FOR XIANGLING THE CATCH ON 4* ONLY. You don’t need to r5 just r1 PLEASE. (Also there’s a song about fishing the catch for Xiangling loll it’s called Xiangling paradise)
