  1. I gotta say THANK YOU for talking to him at the end after the chapter ended, i was so taken aback by the suddenness of this chapter's end i didn't realize he was still there and talkable. I really wanted to know what more this suspicious individual had to say.. It confirms even more so that this isn't our Albedo.

"A little life is the key to attracting people." Like how you attracted our attention away from you with that Whopperflower before you mysterious and tenaciously special Susbedo?

  2. I love how half of this comment section says that the two Albedos coexisting would be really nice….

That’s a wonderful idea, Mihoyo needs to have them take a leaf out of the Raiden twin’s book- Ei and Maketao ( I have no idea how it’s actually spelled) would switch places since they were twins. if somehow the two Albedos came to an agreement that would be really nice…

  3. Well after that little prank, I'd like to think an agreement has been made between them and they'd probably switch off from time to time. BUT GODDAMN THAT SMUG SMIRK OF THEIRS!!!

  4. It’s think this was threat to the traveler and a warning saying you can’t reliy on the birthmark to differentiate us. The one thing I don’t understand is why does he say “so we meet again?”

  5. Heres the full explanation of the final cutscene its a bit long but it'll clear up most of the things on this cutscene im sure.

From the previous cutscene in dragonspine where albedo and paimon share their stories, albedo talked about how subject 2 (twin albedo) wanted to replace subject 1 (albedo that we know) "to take the joy of his existance for himself."
Then in the final cutscene in mondstadt, fake albedo has referenced the "joy of existance" as paimon's desires to keep sunsettias to herself. Subject 1 realised that it is fine for him to share some of the joy to the subject 2 so the albedo in the last cutscene is the twin albedo whos been allowed by the real albedo to receive some of the joy for himself.
The "gardener" (albedo and paimon uses during the conversation) can tell if the albedo is the fake one or the real one. Therefore the fake albedo could try to kill the "gardener" (traveller). Then the subject 2 says "being a gardener isnt so bad", which when it comes out of subject 2's mouth, it means that he has no intention to kill the traveller.
The reason subject 2 erased the mark at the beginning of the cutscene is to lead the traveller to doubt that the albedo in front of her/him is the fake one.
Traveller who heard the conversation till the end thought "i see that makes a lot of sense" when he/she realised that real albedo has made an agreement to share the joy of existance with the subject 2 provided that subject 2 wont harm the traveller.

  6. I loved the story, but they kinda left a loose end open about subject 2. Like we didn’t take him down, and the whole thing is just left unresolved. I guess it’s for us to theorize about, but I’m really not a fan of those kinds of endings, where it’s open-ended and left for the reader to interpret. I don’t want to have to read between the lines to figure out what I think happened, I just wanna see this great story end in a satisfying conclusion

  7. i can't believe mihoyo put such an important plot in an event like wtf mihoyo. new players are going to be so confused when the fake albedo appears out of nowhere in the future.

  8. Putting this here because I dunno where:
Albedo told us that travelers power is wide but due to the natural laws of teyvat they can't fully express it. This reminds me of Dainsleif, whose powers most likely can only be expressed outside teyvat? Knowing both dain and albedo I think the two would clash if they meet because of survival of the fittest

  9. I think a lot of people are convinced that the Albedo in Act 3 is the fake Albedo but I don't think that is the case. @windflowerlia in twt made a great thread about their interpretation of act 3 where the Albedo in the last act is the actual Albedo.

All throughout the quest, the traveller was able to distinguish which was the fake whether or not the mark was there. That could be seen in the beginning of act 1 where he felt Albedo was off as well as after defeating subject 3, whopperflower Albedo, where the traveller questioned if that was the same thief they met before. So if it was actually fake Albedo at the end, I think the traveller would have been able to distinguish if he was the fake one. And when the mark on Albedo's neck disappeared and that can be explain in the next dialogue lines about it being poor taste of a prank, where Albedo actually hides his mark for bit to trick the Traveller.

I won't do justice in explaining the other points so I highly recommend reading @windflowerlia's thread on twt. They'll be making a YouTube video of it soon, so I recommend watching that as well!

  10. I think that what makes Dragonspine and Albedo's storylines so interesting is that they are written to be really open to interpretation. The players can choose what they want to believe, and different perspectives are very possible to be true. But that's the thing: is there a "truth"? A lot of people want to know what is right and what is wrong, but that's not the point in Dragonspine lore and events. The point is: what do you want to believe? And that is what make the place and characters related to it so fascinating.

  11. so if anyone is wondering the prank is in 18:28, where monstadt albedo didnt have the mark and then reappeared. Most player just like myself skipped the cutscene and then got confused.

  12. There's a lot of speculation but one things for sure. This is the best Story quest so far for me!!! Wants me to pull albedo but Zhongli first. I'll wait for your next banner BAEdo.

  13. can we talk about joel's father? this is a temporary event, so what about new players after this event? while Joel's father was lost in the world quest will there be a new world quest where we found joel's father? That's why he's sus
