  1. 1. I love how menacing this sounds
    2. I love the scratchy digital sounds, especially with the male voices. It’s taking something that was once good and corrupting it.
    3. My favourite part, honestly, is the Harpinger motif which you can hear in the translation.
    4. Super grand just like a god

  2. Hope someday Hoyoverse will buff this weekly boss

Ngl this robot is very easy to kill and boring gameplay, unlike Raiden Shogun which is very intense and fun

I did under 2 minutes in co op mode

Such a waste, great theme song but mostly killed him very fast

  3. His theme really does represent him completely, I have goosebumps 😭 Yu Peng Chen is a literal genius and idk how genshin music manages to keep reaching newer and newer peaks when every new ost feels like the best one yet

  4. imo this ost feels too narrative for a boss fight like soemthing that should be listened to separately instead of the background of a boss fight, childes boss ost is my favourite so far because it captures the thrill of battle and remains exciting throughout the fight whereas scaramouches ost has softer moments with emotions and it’s so nicely crafted with so many leimotifs but the actual battle kind of distracts you from those moments and it almost becomes easy to ignore. again this ost is beautiful on it own and it’s actually one that i would regularly listen to on a playlist or soemthing but i feel like for a boss fight parts like 7:52 would be more fitting

  5. I want to know the literal meaning of the lyrics so bad. It's different every time I see someone interpret it haha, probably because they're not clear to decipher

  6. I've been listening to his boss theme ever since I finished the Archon quest, I'm obsessed with it. I love each second of it. Both phase 1 and 2 are fire, and the transformation phase is also just as amazing. I could praise his boss theme all day. It's my favourite!!

The instruments, the vocals, Scara's singing, the feelings you get from them. Lord is it just so amazing. It really has that intimidating feeling to it, the witnessing of the birth of a God and having to face said God. And the other parts convey Scara's story and emotions really well, and of course, his singing held so many feelings in it. Especially the parts where he's singing quietly, his voice tugs my heartstrings.

I love each instrument used here, and the references to other motifs are so amazing. As I said, his boss theme conveys his emotions and story really well. I might write a whole essay about it if I could. Props to them for making such an incredible boss theme!

  7. I love how all 3 fatui boss themes use the same leitmotif in wildly different ways to perfectly fit their characters:

Tartaglia: Tearing away his charming jokey exterior, turning serious and becoming a ruthless battle-crazy warrior who wants you dead.

Signora: The sorrows and corruption of a woman who lost everything close to her.

Scaramouche: A boy with a somewhat good nature at heart, corrupted by the desire for power he believes was meant for him. Now being used and taken advantage of by everyone around him, he gradually turns into a monster.

It’s genuinely impressive how perfectly each theme fits the separate characters while having the same core leitmotif.
