Phase two of version 3.8 started this week and the rerun banners of wanderer and kokomi are currently up on all the servers. Version 4.0 will be released on August 16th and with that, we will get the new explorable region fontaine, and we are less than three weeks away from that. Hoyoverse revealed lyney as the newest five star character to the playable roster in 4.0, and Lynette and freminet as the newest four stars.
This means that we will only get one new five star banner and the other three banners will be reruns.
Yelaan, child and zhongli are the expected reruns characters in version 4.0. Zhongli is the geo archon, so many players who don’t have him, would want to save some primogems for him. And the others might want to get his constellations. You guys still have quite a few days left as his banner will most likely be in the second phase of version 4.0.
Since 4.0 will release the new hydro region, you can get plenty of primogems for him till the phase two starts. Zhongli is the strongest shielder in the game by far. He is therefore, best suited for support but can be made into a strong burst sub-DPS. He can fit into almost any team comp and is an extremely valuable unit, but now he doesn’t fit in the current dendro meta anymore.
Version 4.1 will be the next patch after 4.0, and will be released on September 27th. 4.1 will also introduce some new regions from fontaine and will reward players with plenty of primogems.
Two new characters Wriothesley and neuvillette will be released in 4.1. Wriothesley will be in phase one whereas neuvillette will be in phase two. Other than them, two rerun characters, huu tao and raiden shogun are expected to rerun in 4.1.
Raiden shogun is one of the most important characters right now, as she fits perfectly with the new dendro meta. And even if hydro changes things in the future, she will be quite useful even then. So she is a must get character, and of course she is the electro archon. The most important reason is her booba sword. What more reason do you need.
Anyway, zhongli and raiden shogun are coming back to back. And even if hoyoverse swaps zhongli with raiden in 4.0, which is less likely to happen, you would still want to save enough primogems, so good luck with that.

    Why would you want characters constellations when you already have one copy of them?

  40. Im aiming to get raiden shogun since i liked her even before i started playing genshin to the point i even cosplayed as her but that was before i knew more about her in the game. Ill spend every single primogem i get to pull for her

  42. I just really like burst dps characters, wiping out things in one burst or a few hits is so satisfying to me, lol. I’ve gotta build my dendro teams better but I’m really waiting for Raiden (ik Kokomi is up rn and I want her for various team comps, but I can wait). I’m building a Raiden hyper carry team rn 🤩 wish me luck! And also GL TO YALL ON WHOEVER U PULL ❤

  47. should i get zhongli or raiden? raiden could replace fishl in my eula team or i could replace bennett with zhongli because bennetts Burst is only useful if eula is alive and i cant remove mika because f2p luck was waisted on his c6 dissapointment but then i won eula 5050 on the last hour of her rerun
