the orchestra was really cool. what isn't cool is that afaik, mihoyo spent a ton of money on twitter hashtag emojis for each character. from what I heard a single hashtag emoji costs like $1m
It's a bad take. People wanted rewards comparable to the established rewards gacha games dish out on anniversaries. Mihoyo flipped us the bird, begrudingly gave us 20 wishes and an orchestra that no one asked for. And I love all things string instruments, but let's not pretend that they aren't defying industry standards by cheaping out on the rewards. Orchestras are cool, but it wasn't a substitute anyone asked for.

Yeah i enjoy the concert it's good but if i have to choose between rewards in-game or rewards outside of the game i definitely choose in-game rewards

Yea sure mihoyo makes millions but most of that money goes to the employees they have that work hard for these player’s enjoyment. They usually have a different character, event or sometimes both every month, that takes effort you know? They’re giving us this beautiful game for free when they could could’ve made us pay for the game, heck most players would still play.

The concert was very fun and it was something that everyone in the community (f2p or not) would really enjoy which I appreciate because lets be honest rewards wouldn't matter much to whales. This is why there is a huge cry in the genshin community for something to commemorate the anniv but oh well anniv is past now hopefully they'll listen from now on. Here's for a new year hoping that they'd actually get down from their high horse and listen. If any competition comes for genshin. They'd be suffering for their bad reputation.

Nobody should hate on the concert. It was fucking amazing. I was disappointed about the anniversary rewards too, but when something's good you should just acknowledge it too.

Genshin community is a meh TBH, the game is fun but i regretted joining community like this, I thought that the community will be like typical gacha community but its completely different, some players are normies, gacha virgin, etc.
The genshin impact community has really shown their true colors after they did not get a "free" 5 star for the anniversary event, which is funny because genshin will give everyone a free 5 star in 2.2 (Aloy) if you did not get the characters on 2.1 with your PS account, they gave us 1600 primogems and 7 day logins for a 10 pull and the events in total from the events in 2.2 gives you primogems for around 20 pulls. So in total you got 40 pulls or more from playing 2.2, so why are ppl still getting butt hurt about the Anniversary, what else do the EN player base want? Yes I said EN player base, cause Asian player base are not Whining about the Anniversary rewards

Yo did they not think that that LIVE CONCERT also costed them hundreds of thousands or even millions?? Paying for the musicians, an ACTUAL STAGE, filming, editing, creating the music numbers, etc. It was literally so sweet of them to do. They spared no expenses to make it look like a fancy concert for FREE when the normal orchestra usually are only afforded by and played for rich guys.
Like, the anniversary gift incident was terrible, but can we just NOT support that type of behaviour for this fandom for literally EVERYTHING mihoyo does?? Just cuz they made a single mistake??

I'm disappointed for being part of the Genshin Community. It's turning toxic, like be happy that they gave us a Concert, I personally loved it! And so what if the Anniversary Rewards were bad to some, I was happy with what I got. Some people are just to spoiled to enjoy some Rewards given for free. Also I understand that the money players gave to the Company went to the Concert, but I think it was a good way to reuse the money they made. Just saying, the Genshin Community is becoming toxic and disgusting.
People who talk shit about something and thinks their right and their not right at all, those are delusional or arrogant or ignorant people hating on the rewards.
For me, I still like the rewards in genshin. If the rewards is bad or good, I still want the rewards and I don’t care about those people complaining about the anniversary rewards sucks.
If the anniversary rewards sucks, I’m still getting it and I don’t care about those people who are hating on genshin.

I don't think they realize that most people spending money on genshin is for themselves, they want the god danm primos to the extent of spending money on them and they get their pulls. No one asked them to spend money on it, you can f2p still get 5 stars.

I fkn hate the fact that people make this a war between the community idiots vs the community idiots that defend mihoyo, instead of aknowledge that mihoyo doesn't answer to the playerbase, bcz they literally can see our complains otherwise they couldn't censor us the other day, not answering why they don't want to fix resin, raiden and beidou, qiqi, kokomi, ar rewards, etc

Concerts and stuff idk feel like some high investment marketing move but end of the day genshin is a game and what we need is it to be a better game rather than advertising this game through different ways and platforms. I feel like they are at the moment focusing on the marketing only which idk will work for how long. We need better patches, balance changes, more rewards, balanced in game transactions, in depth connection between playerbase and dev team… is mihoyo providing that?

The rewards should have been better considering the money they made and being on trending for a year.
That said, I personally didn't act on it because the game on it's own is great and the music was a gift for every player too.
