I want fischl cons and kaveh so i will be pulling on ganyu's banner but i think i will build her as a burst dps for when i want to play freeze ayato (hes my main)… their bursts are similar so theyll work good together

I'm surprised you didn't mention pairing Ganyu with Ayato. Their bursts together are insane, especially when you throw in Venti.
Hits like a truck, but since gaining hyperbloom comps and Hu Tao I haven't played her in awhile.
Whale here, having many c6 characters. Including Ayaka and Ganyu. Ganyu is a WAY more versatile character then what is being said. Ayaka has her ult and then feels pretty bad. (Her c6 charged attack isn't much). When I'm in doubt, in many situations, I often default to using Ganyu ( or c6 Yelan) anything from abyss to adventuring. Her infinite range makes anything just die. Got to kill 2 towers? What towers. Need to escort a blimp? Ez. 2 minute wenut? Wtf…um what? Very misleading.
As for free to play experience? She's less bursty at c0 but still consistent. She also uses a bow that you will eventually get for free and uses artifacts you get from all major bosses.
Why wouldn't you want her? If you don't like doing bow charged attacks.
I'll agree she's not the absolute best dps but is always somewhere in my full clear abyss runs. Video is also misleading concerning genshin history. National was always a thing, but got a huge buff with the EM changes. We weren't stupid back then. Nothing is more obvious than 4 stars that the game hands you. But like Hu Tao or Ayaka…. Ganyu is a very worthy dps.

My Ganyu has 2300 atk and 314 crit dmg and 50 rate , melt and she's utter trash for me , I dont have venti but still
Fontaine is very close by with the hydro archon and proably new hyrdo units so its a safe bet she will be used in alot of new teams so take that into account also

Too much grumble grumble in this video and from a lot of comments too. The only reason why people downplay Ganyu these days is because she's old
She's still one of the best units in the game, and her declining pick rate in Abyss is due to the type of content in there over the last half dozen or so patches. She's still great & versatile & in general would improve the account of most people, especially Dehya havers

To the new players, don't be afraid to play a characters you want, even of it's Amber. In this game at first months people managed to build Barbara in too a good damager, so what to say about the rest? Yeah, there is stronger and weaker characters, but the thing is that the majority still can complete all genshin conten.
It's not even about Ganyu anymore, it's whether you can afford to pull for her after you've saved enough for guaranteed Kazuha haha

i love my ganyu. I quit playing the game for a few months, so missed her first banner. When the second time came around, she was the ONLY unit I was missing, so as all idiots who just got an xmas bonus do, I c6'd her and R5'd Amos bow. She is still BY FAR my best dmg, but that's to be expected with C6. Tbh tho, if she wasn't c6, idk if i'd use her much. she is clunky without the c6, and u basically need a shield with her or she's gonna get knocked all over
Thing is. Ganyu is a DPS. But that doesn't mean we completely disregard her support potential. Ganyu is the best support for Melt Diluc and there's no way we can disregard that.
If you're a Diluc main, who wants to melt instead of Vape. Get Ganyu bro
Ganyu, especially melt Ganyu did not fall off as much as she was pushed put by Dendro and Dendro tailored Abyss.
If anything, Dehya's release made her even easier to play.
Bcos of Dendro forcing I had to bench my Xiao, Itto, Hu Tao, Ganyu, Eula….. Getting kinda sick of it tbh. Would be nice for some less restrictive Abyss cycles so I could use maybe most of my characters instead of a very specific few….
Venti isn't a necessity in Freeze team (Ayaka or Ganyu). Kazuha is already enough. Better at Single Target, worse at AoE a bit than Venti. The last time I used Venti in Spiral Abyss was in 1.6
I haven't played in like a month. I got sick of all of the game's bad character skill and talent designs.
So, hearing one of my favorite dps is getting power crept or countered by annoying enemy designs isn't making me want to return.

She is still a beast. Tried her in the current abyss just right after the abyss refresh, and she dominated it together with Benny, Xiangling and Zhongli. Btw, she’s c0 w/o amos. she dominated all the 1st chambers. I tried aggravate keqing w/ jade cutter, Vaporize Ayato (which worked as well but less smoother rotations), heck even my hyperbloom kuki didn’t work. It’ll always boil down on your preferred playstyle, but ganyu will always be consistent.
i have C1 ganyu and didnt use her anymore. clunky, boring, and need strong shield like a coward
Ganyu will always be my favorite cryo character in Genshin Impact there will always be content in this game that characters will do better than others.

I'm relatively new, and Ganyu was my first DPS and has carried me most of my playtime. I definitely recommend her, she is really good imo having both area damage and concentrated on her charge. Love her design as well. I have seen better results now with Ayaka, but I love them both so much have been using them together a lot of the time with Kokomi and Sucrose for Freeze.
Ganyu is broken when you rlly jnow how to play her but it takes some time to get used to her playstyle
The changes in enemies making you get staggered or such over the past several versions have made Ganyu more difficult to play at C0, and have made her C6 more resilient to these changes, since she quickscopes so much.
Also her C4 makes her an additional level of power by enemies taking up to 25% more damage while in her burst, which can have 100% uptime, so her freeze viability is still relevant, though it's more a "I love this character" more than YOU NEED TO PULL AND GET HER like the perception was before.
Also burning isn't viable for C6 Ganyu because she applies cryo too fast and you'll lose the burning aura, so that's some anti-synergy over NOT having C6.
I have used freeze Ganyu for a while now and for the current abyss she did a great job from floor 9, 10 and 11 but she really could not do floor 12 for me
I suck so Ganyu's the only reason I could beat the Aeonblight drake in this past abyss lol
