Is Electro Actually Weak? | Genshin Impact

#Genshin #GenshinImpact #Electro

Sup my dudes, valkyrja here, and today I will be answering if electro is actually weak in Genshin Impact. Short answer I think the element is mostly okay but the characters are extremely hit or miss.

  1. People will be even more confused when hoyoverse releases kuki shinobu… I just hope they have some big plan with dendro and electro and that all will make sense at least a little bit, right?! Copium

  2. I have to completely disagree. Electro reactions are garbage not because they do nothing but because they do so little compared to melt/vape, freeze and even swirl (still think res shred should've been part of the reaction not on an artifact set). The only reason electro characters are even viable is because of them having high multipliers or just being Raiden.
I think Pyro is the exact opposite of Electro in that Pyro chars are carried by their elemental reaction (melt) but having low multipliers while Electro chars are carried by high multipliers but shitty reactions.
superconduct should either shred both electro and phys res or just outright shred defense
for electrocharged I am lacking an idea for improvement but it does feel weak so maybe somebody else has one
    overload should've been like melt/vape

edit: there are exceptions ofc like valk said Keqing has low multipliers or Hu Tao who has decent multipliers so she can even work without vape or melt but mostly electro chars have high multipliers and pyro chars have low multis

  3. Yes electro is weak just cuz there is Raiden doesnt make it a better element Raiden is fine and she would be absolutely broken in any other elementXD (fuck that any of the electro unit would be busted using other elements cuz electro reactions are shit yes they are just shit, electro charge is probably the best out of all and that tells a lot). Even the reactions that are useful to electro are weak why would u play electro charge when u can pair water with pyro and just vaposire shit for much more damage same with overload on top of it the explosions can distance the mobs from you.

Electro units seem to make electro strong but reality is they have good numbers thats it if they were any other element they would make so much more damage with the numbers they have with.

  4. It's confused rn. It's not the weakest cuz it has a place in many teams, but it's just not the best for anything, and combined with the lack of amplifying reactions, if the characters don't have high dps by themselves, they're going to fall behind by A LOT. Speaking of characters-
-lisa: needs constellations , after which she's pretty decent imo
-fischl:great sub dps and battery for electro application. She's a solid unit imo
-razor:falls off way too hard compared to other 4* main dps' like yanfei. But still viable if built well
-beidou: prolly one of the best burst dps out there. Hits like a truck, easy to build, can slot into many teams and playstyles
-kekwing: just give this gurl higher multipliers she's already decent dps
-sara:make her c2 a passive or smth. Without her c2 she feels EXTREMELY uneasy to play and with c6 she becomes the best electro buffer
-Raiden: beidou interaction when? Jokes aside, amazing unit. Doesn't need change rn
-yae: most confused unit I've seen. Dps wise she's decent but like, what's she supposed to be? Electro applier? Sub dps? Main dps? Sorry this character needs a rework on her kit a lil

  5. Electro really only refers to its res and reactions neither of which are very good, mid at best and overload sucks. Superconduct is hyper niche cause it really only benefits off meta physical characters and then Eula. Taser is it’s best reaction but isn’t as good as freeze or vape/melt so if all the mega reactions it’s at the bottom of the list. Electro characters on the other hand have amazing kits and visuals. If Ei had her kit except it was pyro/hydro shed be just stupid broken. On the reverse if Hu Tao was electro I’m not sure she would even be meta.

The resonance needs a rework ESPECIALLY if Dendro reaction is gonna give 1 particle every time it does a reaction which would honestly be broken by itself. I think electro should give the team ER instead, worded similarly to the other resonances so it’s not giving a flat bonus or anything (minus geo res ofc). That way all the characters benefit it equally instead of just the electro characters. Honestly if it was the case that electro res gave ER and Dendro gave particles then it could possibly cutdown on the need for ER by a huge amount.

Also it’s true half electros kinda have weird kits despite their alright-good numbers. (Keqing is the exception sadly)

Biggest problem with electro as a whole though is it’s clear identity crisis and it’s awful synergy with other elements because of its terrible resonances and mediocre reactions. The reactions/res themselves don’t need to be op but they should have always helped the team besides being selfish or niche.

  6. I’m still working on my teams but I find a combo of keqing plus xingqui works quiet well for most enemy’s usally have zhongli for sheilds and the last member usally swaps about depends on what domain I’m hitting. Or it will b the character I’m trying to raise while being to low level for my world. As they can clean up without em. Yes I run her on electro. Few taps nd they are done.

  7. I think people really started to realize how strong electro is after Inazuma, it may not have 2x amplifying reaction dmgs, like Cryo, Pyro, and Hydro do, but it is an element that should not be underestimated, overload is great against bosses because of how much dmg it does, electro charged is great against mobs, and super conduct, makes phys dpses do unga bunga numbers, think of how many good electro characters there is conpared to every other element, C6 Sara, Fischl, Yae, Raiden, Beidou,
I would say only Razor and Keqing are sub par but other than that electro is fun

  8. You should try using Keqing with Yunjin I was actually surprised how strong they are paired…. Keqing having low multipliers on her auto makes Yunjin a godsend for her, with Yunjin's ult Keqings normal attacks deal more than her charge attacks.

  9. Electro reactions are leaning more to supportive than offensive while Melt & Vape are purely for damage. You are right, Electro units viability is determined by their gameplay & multiplier not their element.

  10. I heard electro + cryo used to lower def % of enemy instead of just physical. I think there would be a lot more teams that focused on super conduct if it was still like that. I still dig electro even if it’s weaker than pyro or cryo characters. I think electro is very good in aoe situations but not too many floors focus on aoe.

  11. Lisa is not bad imo. (She'd do well in an MMORPG
She behaves like a true mage.
    Zip zap and teleports.
    Slow casted skills.
    Long cooldowns. High energy cost.
    Like a true Mage.
The her playstyle is not good in Genshin** specifically.

  12. Electro is weak based off reactions and resonance but electro is not the only one with problems Anemo resonance is kinda suspect I think the cooldown % is too low it should be able to shave off at least 1.0 seconds or 1.5 seconds of cooldown on e skill and water has a resonance problem because it doesn’t have any good value like cryo and pyro resonance

  13. I would really like If overloaded was changed or like buffed because in my experience it just sucks. It's only good against big enemies and pushes around the small ones so that you have to run around more and waste stamina. The change I'd like to see would be like a small def reduction on enemies, similar to how superconduct works but, well, smaller.

  14. electro reactions are weak. Electro as a whole is fine in terms of meta due to mono-hypercarry comps and swirl Sucrose comp (and National as the rare exception). There's also the fact that Keqing is specifically very weak relative to other 5* DPSs.

That being said, freeze reaction is still too powerful, and Ganyu's multipliers are too high. But then, it's not just electro that suffers; it's every non-freeze/non-Ganyu combo. That includes other Vape/Melt comps, Anemo (Xiao), Mono-geo, etc…

I'm thinking Dendro will be their attempt to fix this, given that Dendro doesn't react with cryo.

A lot of people are saying electro should have stayed as a support role for ER, but a lot of people (me included), think that electro is the coolest-looking element for damage; thunder damages things. I would personally have preferred electro to be best for AoE due to electro charge chain-lightning, but unfortunately, it ended up becoming mostly a Beidou thing, and not generalized in all electro characters, given that electro-charged damage is quite meh.

  15. it's not just the characters that are bad, electro itself is inferior to other offensive elements (cryo, pyro). in reactions and resonance electro loses to cryo and pyro, in biggest damage ceilings we see Hu Tao, Ganyu, Ayaka, Eula (superconduct with her cryo) vs Raiden and maybe c6 Lisa. that's mostly it. Cryo and Pyro still need to get their Archons

  16. Have to disagree. Take most of the good electro characters and swap them to pryo, hydro, or cryo and they instantly become so much better than they currently are to the point they might be utterly broken at that point. That indicates its not a character problem its the element itself. Tazer is the only good reaction. Superconduct is decent but outside of fischl and razor there is no mainly focused electro physical unit and you said yourself with razor if they are physical based the element part serves little other purpose than to trigger a debuff.

  17. One nice thing about phys Keqing is you can freeze to negate her knockback, or you can use Chongyun to get a lot out of Blizzard, or you can wonder to yourself why not just Ayaka or even just Kaeya/Rosaria. One honorable mention for Sara and Lisa is you can put them with Raiden, who takes care of their ults at like 150%+ ER, making them pure Q bots. Fischl is also still kinda underrated when you look at how much her single-target dps stacks up when her passive/c6 triggers a bunch. Unlike Xinqiu, she also snapshots effectively, something often overlooked when those two are compared, she slots insanely easily too.

Also self-overload Razor highest dps comp in the game by far.
Ohh sidenote, you can still use Sara's E for an extra buff, just don't need to bother with the aimed shot cause energy is accounted for.

But yeah, even Beidou, her E can feel bad to rely on vs. passive enemies, then they hit you just before it comes off cd… Most her dmg is from the ult, but you ideally drop your ER by hitting perfect parries for the extra energy too. Overal I can see why most elec characters don't appeal to people, Fischl and Raiden are the only overal super fluid and comfy ones imo.
