HUGE UPDATE! HOYOVERSE IS ADDING 5-STAR WEAPON PACK IN 4.5 (DID WE ASK FOR IT?) – Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact might introduce a new feature to its in-game store, potentially allowing players to directly purchase 5-Star weapons as part of a gift package, according to recent leaks. While the implementation remains uncertain, it was mentioned to be released during 4.5 or later.
Players have consistently been asking for mihoyo to expand the in-game store, especially considering that only a few 4-Star characters can currently be acquired by exchanging Starglitter. The monthly rotation, featuring two 4-Star characters with a six-month cycle, has provided opportunities for obtaining constellations for characters like Lisa, Kaeya, and Amber. However, players are hopeful for more options.
Given that leakers have managed to obtain information about Natlan, which I know is still too early, the floodgates for Fontaine’s remaining updates have opened. Leakers, including the reliable source “Little Teyvat” from the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, have hinted at the introduction of a new “gift package” featuring 5-Star weapons. Although they didn’t specify the details of the weapon, it’s now said to feature one series for now: Skyward Series. It is suggested that this package could be available for purchase alongside the Welkin Moon subscription and Adventurer’s Bundles. It will cost 2000 Genesis Crystals to buy them. Remember, things could go otherwise, for example, It could cost more than 2000 genesis crystals. I honestly think that’s too low for a 5 star weapon. But that’s just my side. so being skeptical is a good choice.
The release date of this potential change remains unknown. White_fx1 said it will be released in 4.5 or later. they suggested that these weapons could be bought using Genesis Crystals, aligning with the purchasing mechanism of Welkin Moons and Adventurer’s supply bundles.
Sadly, it was mentioned that the Jade Cutter, Hunter’s Path, and Amo’s Bow will not be featured in that gift pack, but I don’t know about that. Because they mentioned there will be “An unknown weapon” which is neither a standard weapon nor limited and will also be available in the pack. For my guess, it can be the weapons I mentioned earlier, Jade Cutter, and etc. But I could be wrong. There are rumors saying it will be the Liyue series. They could also be wrong. But who knows? We have to wait and see what’s going to happen. Also, remember what happened to the skin selector? Sounded too good to be true, yeah? Same could go for the weapons pack. So be skeptical about this.
I really like that idea, though. For example, if you have the money and have been looking for Skyward Harp (which is a great weapon), you can buy it without worrying about anything. As someone who's gathere almost all standard banner weapons, but still doesn't have a single Jean, I think they shoukd do something to offset the lack of guaranteed on standard banner for characters . Aso, this thing is still gonna be paid and expecnsive, so bruh, it doesn't matter. Just another way to milk players for money really.

Even if so… If it is general weapons that people could get by losing, using genesis crystals already killing it. HSR could get 5★ LC in a very f2p way its celebrated and players being content "and spend as a way to say thanks for elating them" in a way.

they are just testing out the waters with this in 4.5, before they eventually have to make changes for ALL content, should the chinese law changes get through somewhen, that were topic some weeks ago, where they would be forced then to make all Gacha content also directly buyable.
Personally I'd hope among the buyable first set of weapons in this bundle will be Wolfs Gravestone, Amos Bow, Primordial Jade Spear, Aquila Favonius and LostPrayer, so basically 1 per , that or simply for the Sky-Weapon Set and remove from then on the complete Sky-Weapon Set from the Gacha Pool of the Standard Banner and replace it with 5 other weapons, including the Hunters Path, the weapon for Dehya, Jade Cutter, that geo catalyst thign thats only good for Ningguang and the geo sword from zhonglies weapon set, so that finally the 5s weapons from Tighnari and Dehya become again constantly avaiable somehow…
its so ridiculkpus how long these weapons have been completely unavaiablr now with absolute zero method to obtain them, because Tighnari n Dehya wont get reruns as Standard Banner characters, unless MHY somewhen ciontigues finally their Story Quests maybe as exceptions….whenever that may be, hell it took this crap cpmpany 3,5 years just to add finally a second copy of the Dark Iron Sword into the game with 4.4 – still unable to max that thing out at R5.. maybe we have to wait a fuckign another 3,5 years now until we can R3 it HOOOORAY /s
