  1. I think the archipelago should stay in the game as a form of an event. But not the 1.6 event. Only the map.
When new players join the game they have beginner events, that means they can have events based on players ar level. My idea would be, that after people finished the mondstadt story, and reach a certain ar, they can get a update the next time they log in, and they have a month where the island exist as a event.

  2. It's not as if this happened the first time in a live service game. I've played previous games too where they'd place limited time zones for specific events. As to Genshin, I don't know why everyone is making a big deal out of everything seriously.

  3. I knew the real reason why the map was going away wasn’t because of mobile player. It’s mihoyo desperate attempt to bring lost players back. then it went on to leak their content to let you know what’s coming next. Look how big the housing map is, to the point you wish you had a mount to get around at least a few waypoint. Plus their are ton of one time domain that they can clearly get rid off or at least turn them to endgame content for weekly loot.

  4. Imagine if Dragonspire and Archipelago become seasonal maps:
    – they make other 2 maps, one for fall and one for spring
    – they open one different map every season
    – the events (or a part) will take place there
    – things like chests reset
Something like this would resolve a big chunk of problems

  5. Finally someone that doesn't just follow the trend because everyone started blaming mobile and not understanding what Mihoyo is doing.

My Genshin on mobile takes up, 14.6gb
Of that space, I have all audio languages installed with a total of 5.5gb, and the Video assets that I already seen takes up 1.7gb… so the audio and video assets take up half the game space.

When I remove and leave one audio pact I gained 4.2gb so the game now goes to 10gb.. After I remove the Video assets that I already experienced I gained another 1.3gb, now the game is below 10gb.. Not a lot of people gonna know how to do this manually.

So all Mihoyo needs to do is let us manage video assets along with the audio packs, Honkai has it, because the game data outside those which includes the textures, sfx, configs, etc is not the storage eater.

With more regions, characters and story audio packs and video assets just gonna get larger being able to manage what we want to keep is good.

But regions and events DLC are a no go, that's just gonna create a rift in the different playerbase.

  6. I’ve said this before but Mihoyo really did create this problem themselves when they thought they could appeal to two different audiences despite mobile devices and PC/consoles having vastly different storage space.

  7. Ar56, I adored patch 1.6. I don’t need the islands to be permanent, but I do hope they bring this event back next year for players who missed it as well as new players. All I can really say is Holy S*** I love me some Genshin!

  8. Ive recently discovered while hunting the remaining chests in teyvat as an AR56 player (i had 100% map clear on everything and i still found around 30 chest and 2 or 3 chests is equal to 1% map progress) is that completed puzzles (old or recently cleared) will disappear upon clearing (some does not like the torch puzzle in stone gate)
I recommend using the official interactive map for chest hunting because it shows tge locations of specific puzzles

  9. i think inazuma will be a separated region, and i'm fine with that. as a low-spec gamer, rendering the expanded map of teyvat would be a problem if they actually insert inazuma.

i'm just saying that if inazuma will be away from the map of teyvat, pc content creators will surely lose their mind

  10. I don't really care if the island are gone. I'm a simple guy all I want is a few more hard and repeatable battles that give me a rewards so I have a reason to do them (spiral abyss like) and some sort of resin fix. (This energy system is way worse than any other gatcha I've ever played and that's saying something). That's all, but I feel like after inazuma I'm going to stop playing everyday and only play when events I like are out. I'm realizing that this is probably not a long term game for me but I still wanna play cool events so I wanna build some inazuma characters so I can come in, have my teams build, play the good events then not touch this for a month.

  11. Yeah walrus, I agree 110%. It's not mobile's fault, and mihoyo should have creative solutions in the work like you discussed. I ain't stressed, enjoying the heck out of the music on the islands! Gorgeous stuff

  12. I understand and agree that Mihoyo is pulling this to recycle it later like the destiny2contentvault. but personally, I don't care about the rewards. I've been wanting new areas to explore for a while, this region is amazing to explore. I'm going to be sad as hell when it's gone.. here is the issue. Knowing this is going away demotivates me to play it or genshin at all. It makes the experience stressful, i can't enjoy it for the amazing light hearted escapism it is, because i'm busy trying to be productive multitasking music, editing, real life stuff haha. If this was an actual 3 month long summer event, i could understand, but 6 weeks…. such a waste of an amazing experience. on protest i stopped logging in and "spending money" rewards are cool, and the obvious gameloop but a reward is a reward is a reward. tiny gated walls to chip away at grinding an leveling up and feeling productive. but i can grind other games. genshin has no endgame, i just explore the world available, off stream. wind down. because the world is something i love escaping into… Those islands are the dopest landscapes weve had so far to explore.. just knowing in a game that lacks actual content and get away with selling us characters instead. losing entire well built regions feels bad. not mobiles fault. but knowing it's about repackaging later for another stress induced fomo experience makes me not trust mihoyo to make this a better game, because they have introduced new stuff that was engaging only to rip it out multiple times now. mobile space is def on the table and realisticly plays a roll. not everyone is whaling from updated phones but the reason doesn't concern me as much as the pattern. people really investing into the games in a way you don't see many other places. im speaking 2-40k over time average.. to lose entire regions when exploration is what charmed most people that fell in love with this game. Just an L for Miyoho and wake up call for me and i guess a bunch of other players.

  13. Most of the entire player base has it backwards. Genshin Impact is not a PC/console game that is also available for mobile. It's a mobile game that is also available for PC/console. That's why most of the players are actually mobile players. The PC/console player base make up a minority. But odds are very high that if you're gaming on PC, you're a dedicated gamer. Virtually all the genshin content creators are PC players. Followed by console. And the least amount of genshin tubers are mobile. Just watch the icons on streams. Virtually all PC players.

Another thing that is an underestimated issue the 5 star constellation problem. Genshin Impact is a game that is meant to be played for years. Not even dedicated the entire time. There is going to be plenty of 5 star rerun banners so you could eventually get everything even as a free to play. NO ONE WAS SUPPOSED TO C6 A 5 STAR BANNER CHARACTER ON ITS FIRST BANNER RUN. That was never supposed to be a thing. Fully powering up a character over time so they retain worth is how it was supposed to be. And as mobile players continue to play over time, they will make sure they get phones that can handle Genshin in there storage. It would really suck if Mihoyo started dropping 20 gb patch nukes to your phone's storage, LMAO.

Overall the most vocal about "catering to mobile players" are the PC/console players who AREN'T the majority. Mihoyo is going to be making sure mobile players are first. So size requirements
