Genshin Impact On The Steam Deck Is Awesome! Hands-On Gameplay Testing

How well does the new Steam Deck handle Genshin Impact? Let’s find out.
In this video we test out Genshin impact on the Valve Steam Deck. While it is possible to run Genshin impact in Linux it suffers from some issues at the time of making this video so I tested it in windows on the Steam deck.

  1. You're such an amazing youtuber and individual. I play almost entirely emulated games and when I don't I play for honor. For honor has an active player base but when players ask for benchmarks they almost never get them. You went out of your way to benchmark and make a small video about the nuances in the running of Genshin Impact. I will forever recommend you and your amazing channel to anyone interested in emulation because you put the extra mile in for your viewers. hats off ETA prime <3

  2. From what people have mentioned, the general performance of windows on the Deck is also terrible, so take that into account as well.

ETA has tested some mini PC's with equivalent GPU horse power to the deck on the channel and they performed better.

I really really hope the deck will finally push mihoyo, I mean "hoyoverse" as they are now called, into finally making a Linux port.

  4. Is there any hope that mihoyo will do something about their games not running on linux? Can someone talk to them, or anything? That would be a much better solution than installing Losedows

  5. Tip: On your rightpad, change the traction to medium, then bind mouse to gyro on rightpad touch. This lets you flick the rightpad harder, stop it with a touch, and then look around with the Steam Deck's gyro. It's… very good.
