It’s time to sit down and talk about the limited events in Genshin Impact; the Irodori festival just finished and I really wanted to make a tierlist of me just talking about my favorite events since I really like Genshin Impact. That’s it, really.

  1. I think unreconciled stars should have been higher. It was one of the few events which had both good story and good gameplay.

Also gouba event is also higher. Why did you not put gouba at the top?

Other than that I mostly agree with every placement.

  2. I would like more of an event that involved different characters from different regions like the recent Inazuma one. It is nice to see the characters we never expect to meet actually meet.

  3. Ahzdaha (or whatever way it must be spelled) is a horrible boss fight. Every attack of his is a AOE, and most of the fight you are waiting for him to stop swimming.
It's impossible to fight him without Zhongli's shield

  4. Events would actually make me interested if they had good rewards and actually do animations like the Albedo event. I love Genshin lore but I honestly just skip it all and let you do a recap later on, its that boring most of the time.

  5. its funny that im the complete opposite when it comes to 1.3 and 1.4. 1.3 is one of my favorite events because the story with xiao was just so precious, it had that iconic cutscene, and gave us xiao lanterns that we could release with friends. it as a whole felt like an actual real life event

the fact that those xiao lanterns are a limited item with a finite quantity make it feel a lot more special to release with friends, and it really hits home that idea of "fireworks being beautiful but fleeting", which is ironic since the 2.4 fireworks gadget is permanent

theater mechanicus was also extremely fun, especially with friends. i hate how they butchered it for the irodori festival. i never thought that event could ever feel like a chore…

1.4 on the other hand felt like that filler episode you could skip without missing out on anything (technically 1.6 was also filler but it had a whole new region to explore for the first time after 1.2 and nothing could compete with that). the story was cute but it didnt really do anything other than that. there was no lore to sink your teeth into, just a tiny little tidbit that kaeya knows hilichurlian. not only that, the peculiar wonderland minigames were an absolute nightmare to grind at the time, though i wouldnt mind a part two with more polished gameplay, since it did allow playing with friends

also, for 1.5, i think the main "event" was really the serenitea pot since it was, and still is, such a big feature. im glad they chose to make it permanent cuz imagine if it was actually a limited time event lol

  6. Me tryna convince friends to play “oh and yes there’s lots of amazing events including sus characters, boss fights, fun game modes like hide and seek etc” them “oh really?” Me: “yes, two years ago and you’ll never get to play them if you start now”

  7. I'm do glad my first proper event was 1.6 golden apple islands one as I had so much fun it was perfect for both older and newer players alike and I personally fell in love with the Mond characters.
It's an event I will always hold close to my heart and I had so much fun exploring it with friends

  8. I actually love the kind of NPC galore on the first lantern rite. It brings us closer to the day to day live of common Liyue citizen, their work, their relationship, etc. I was hoping Windblume will have similar approach. However too much of thing is not fun, so alternating between events which focused on NPCs, day to day life & culture of a region and events which focuses on some playable characters is a good thing.

  9. 1.1 player here. I'd put Unreconciled Stars in "I feel bad for new players," Lantern Rite 2 in "You're enough" (i really do not care for keqing), and the 1.5 event in "Only did for primos." Otherwise, it's a pretty solid list.

  10. Hello Chill with Aster, I have a recommended idea for a video. Since you make a Event tier list can you make a Story Quest tier list. If you ran of ideas for a video then I can recommend this.

  11. this really shows how albedo is the archon of events. every time he shows up, the event is either really fun, really interesting, or most likely both

  12. i started playing during 1.3 and i remember struggling heavily especially with those mini games 😭😭 my fav events are probably klee islands, susbedo and moonchase!! i remember being so touched during moonchase scenes where characters interacted and i love keqing so much so it’s felt so nice she got some spotlight!!

  13. I WISH these event stories where still playable in game. Not the rewards and mini quests that go with the event but just make them story quests for the story…. I'm baffled by the lack of inclusions as they have story relevance for the game. If you pick up the game later you missing out on a story event very 2-3 patches of content….

  14. I joined right after 2.3 ended and I had to rush through the Mondstadt and Liyue archon quests to not miss out on Lantern Rite and then to get to Enkonomiya I had to rush through the whole Inazuma archon quest, so the first event I actually enjoyed is Iradori Festival. I think Hoyoverse should really do something about it, so new players don't miss out on that much and don't have to rush through the whole story.

  15. it’s probably bc I first started Genshin during ganyu’s first banner, so the lantern rite was the first event that I got to actually participate in (I believe the one before that was the hypostases event but I was so low AR that I didn’t understand ANYTHING) but i actually enjoyed the lantern rite like I still have 30 Xiao lanterns🥺 and maybe it’s bc I’m masochistic but the first version of theater mechanicus was my favorite LOL 😬

  16. Aw, I liked 1.3 lantern rite so much. I liked learning random NPC wishes and it made me feel that the region was alive. Theater mechanicus was a lot of fun, being with Xiao was soothing, Liyue Harbor was absolutely beautiful. The second lantern rite failed to bring me the same warm hearted feeling again. 😞
