I was in a same spot. Dropped the game after that awful and repetitive Samsara quest, returned and finished Sumeru quest just for Furina and the 4.0 quest was perfectly balanced. I was hooked. And then 4.1 once again became a repetitive snoozefest. Hoyoverse needs to work on their pacing issues, it goes very well and the next patch it once again drops in quality.
I love finding new Travelers creating lore content for the game… and you was such a lovely surprise. Very good writing, narration, good voice and specially amazing knowledge and discussion! Sub! Looking forward for more
Prison is not supposed to be fun or interesting…
Pretty sure Act 3 wasnt supposed to be fun because it takes place in a prison..where you naturally repeat your everyday life there because stuff is limited..
So far the theory that all the current Fontainians are actually hydro idolons and the real human Fontainians died centuries early really sticks with me. It really explains a lot is issues, the prophesy, and why the primal waters reject/dissolves only Fontainians.
The fact that there seems to be a script to be followed during this and noticeable in previous Archon Quests tells me that the Traveler is NOT a self-insert like what a lot of people believe them to be. If we were a self-insert silent main character, whatever we should choose should just literally be nothing and not affect the story being told, but at times it even does.
Those gemstone lines are always directed at the traveler lol.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the prison section? Yea it was repetitive but I loved trying to figure out what each rule is and theorize on what is happening.

I genuinely like Act 3, but i can see where you coming from with this theory. It very possible then Nuev taking it from Furina.
And the fact he was genuinely worry for Furina to be alone with the Knave show he wouldn't hurt Furina.
So even if Neuv had the option to take the Ghonis and Furina was willing, HE wouldn't. Not to Furina, who is not only innocent, but also his friend if their interactions are to go by.
So perhaps they are just building it up like you said, but their a also a theory that perhaps that Furina is a personality born for that task without knowing.

I have no idea why everyone is so obsessed with that final ascension voice line of Neuvillette. People also believe Arlecchino's words about Furina for some reason and don't even try to doubt them, but that's besides the point.
As for gemstones: All the lines are quotes from the archon quests/teasers/story quests/etc (except for geo gemstone for some reason). So, I believe Furina will say these lines either in the end of the archon quest or in her own teaser. It would be very interesting.
And as for Indemnitium… we don't know much about the oratrice. We only know that it's a divine judgement machine created ~400 years ago, so everything about Indemnitium and Oratrice are pure speculations. But I believe that will definitely be relevant in act 5.

Act 3 I fell asleep half way through not gonna lie. Act 4 is only thing that saved it.
Is act 3 supposed to make us understand how focalars feel being trapped in that oratrice? If so I doubt many fans cared or got it.
I think there is ONE big reason why the Hydro Archon wouldn't return her Gnosis to Neuvillette.
We know that Celestia distributed the Gnoses, which are now theorized to be the condensation of (part) of the original Dragon Sovereigns' powers.
What do you THINK would happen if an Archon returns their Authority to the Dragon Sovereign, the age-old nemesis of Celestia? I do not think Celestia will take that lightly, if at all. That's paramount to begging Celestia to drop a Nail on your head.

this is small theory of mine but what if Furina is planning on dumping all that indemnitium energy into the primordial sea? I mean like, they showed us the concept of balancing energies(the purple and white one, forgot the name), maybe thats just foreshadowing how the primordial sea will be dealt with.
Indemnitium could represent the technology side of energy and the primordial sea, the earthly/natural side of energy.
combining them would balance them out
Here's a theory… what furina cursed herself because she was afraid she'd trigger the Prophecy/ flood. Thats why she couldn't tell Arlecchino how she was preparing. She can't let people know she is a useless archon, unable to use her powers. Especially if she has two suspicions.
1. Being she herself causes the flood
Or
2. Killing her causes the flood.
So people finding out and causing harm to her might cause the end. So that's why she can shed light on the attempted assassination.
