the fact that I myself am also playing a lot of gacha games hsr, genshin, reverse 1999 and MORE holy how the heck am i managing all these gacha games ahahaha, the game is good although i am oblivious if a pity system exists – someone tell me what the rates are if it exists
Reverse 1999 is one of those games that is story before gameplay but this works so seamlessly with the combat too – just light. I love the art style so much and the dub is really unique. Music is great too. Every patch Vertin travels/timetravels around the world and it's great for concept settings: 60s England, Horror Slasher 80s USA, Modern India, Greek/Pythagoreanism island, then Australia and China for the next ones (CN)
Path to Nowhere and Reverse 1999 has the best stories in gacha. HSR and Genshin can get away with a lot because it has superb graphics and gameplay but PTN and R1999 has so minimal gameplay but amazing art direction. Extremely immersive.
== Also, if youre gonna try it and complain you wont have anything to do after the main story quests, this isnt the game for you lol. PTN and R1999 are games you play 10 min a day after main events and main story quests.

I dropped the game in a week after the release cuz there was nothing to do. Do they add new gameplay content beside the story?
the trailers, advertising, and the story in general is already enough to get a lot of players in the game, it's just that good, the character designs, representation (i guess, it has a lot more than genshin thats for sure) and a lot more.

I play Genshin, HSR, and Reverse 1999. I totally recommend it! The characters are diverse (you can play as a dog and that apple, for example) in both species and race; there's characters from France, India, Britain, USA, etc. and their accents are all fantastic! It has great voice acting.
The story, too, is phenomenal imo. They were very… creative with the way certain things went down. It does have a more somber touch to it, so that is something to keep in mind.
The main character also feels important and irreplaceable, which is something I really enjoy. I think she's pretty cool.
Anyways, I'll watch any reaction vid you post about R99 soooo just consider it at least 😂
Honestly, I think you should give it a try. Also, listen to some of the songs if you haven't already. 🙂 Between The Rain and The Times is such a banger!!
But the one thing that is annoying it that China is up to 1.7 so that is a whole big leak but even playing it is fun and different dynamic in gameplay. Island xd do good lore videos. Story is good and a good get away from hoyo lol
This is Bluepoch's first game and im so impressed of how polished everything is. Most engaging gacha game story i have played recently up to par with fgo imo and really diverse cast of characters.
Day one player here. My honest opinion? Not really worth playing past the main story and event stories. The story and characters are great, the event stories are great, the art is great, but the gameplay itself is alright at best. It's something where once you get to the daily grind you just let it auto on your phone in the background while you do your Genshin dailies or something.
Bran you should totally play Reverse 1999!! The voice acting is phenomenal, and you should maybe also react to Limbus Company trailers too! It's another gacha game but primarily korean, and it's selling point is similar to Reverse 1999 – the story.

Let me tell you Bran, I’ve played reverse since the global release or like a month after, and I’m f2p and I’ve gotten most of the 6 stars (equivalent to a genshin 5 star) it’s so worth it

As someone who plays Genshin, Honkai, Star Rail, Path to Nowhere and Punishing Gray Raven, i have tried Reverse 1999 and i will admit it has a good story but i found myself losing interest after a couple of days having it downloaded
Personally its not my cup of tea (Maybe cause of turn based, HSR just feels a lot better) but i definitely see why lots of people love and recommend it
Bran has a buff for the british in the game 😂
