2. About Pervases… Yaksha were army and 5 Great Yaksha are called Yaksha Generals. Which imply rank and file. There was also talk of rituals among regular Yaksha which invoked 5 Great Yaksha. So, no, Pervases was Yaksha… among probably hundreds of other lesser adepti. Same with other non-Yaksha big names, they are more or less court ministers and not all of Liyue divine bureaucracy. Essentially Pervases status to Great Yaksha was similar to Those Two In The Pot to Cloud Retainer or Madam Ping.

   PS. We don't see those lesser adepti like we don't see majority of Liyue population. They are still there – just not important. If they'll become important like Those Two In The Pot then we will meet them.

   PPS. *looks at Venessa* and I actually have to wonder how many of Illuminated Beasts started as beasts and how many as vision holders.

   PPPS. Actually since Pervases had his own temple he was lieutenant/captain equivalent and not some random mook like Teapot Spirits. Definitely not "not even a Yaksha yet".

6. I'm so happy there's a video related to xiao explaining his character, genshin fans meme him too much and you can't put all the blame on voice acting.

   really bizarre coincidence or maybe I've heard it before but the theory of him being from sumeru has been in the back of my mind for a while. something about his design never felt very connected to liyue. weirdly enough tighnari color palette gave me vibes of a modernized softer xiao. does that make any sense, probably not 😭

8. 37:04 – 37:30 Ngl, this part made me tear up. :') When it comes to characters who went through sm despair and loss to the point where they lose their will to live, I become emotionally attached. In Xiao's case, his atk animations were the reason I started to like him in the first place. However, learning about him as a character has led to him having a special place in my heart. I wish the people who only see him as an "edgy lord" to take the extra mile to understand him properly. It saddens me to see them reduce him to "emo and edgy lord" when he's much more than that.

11. Isn't Xiao a vermillion bird? It makes sense because his artifact set is called "Vermillion Hereafter", his constellation also looks like a Vermillion, and in his old CBT look he had mostly red colors with green accents just like the Vermillion Bird

12. As someone who ALSO started playing this hellscape of a gacha game for Xiao, you making this video gives me so much joy. T~T

    I admit, i do like the lore of genshin impact, and i think Kaeya's, Zhongli's, (therefore, Khaeneri'ah) and Xiao's lore is probably the three best stories/ore in the game, or at least, the most intetesting. So i try to make my own theories, and i ate up the Archon Quest, but i know i was missing major pieces of the story being laid out in front of me. So THANK YOU THANK YOU for making this video, that complies basically everything on the Yakshas, Xiao, and even Zhongli's relation to them. I got so much information filled in that i was misding or was ignorant to, and now i love this tortured boy even more than i previously did.

Your video is an even deeper explanation of what i've been saying about the Yakshas… To me the adepti are Liyue's equivalent of Christianity's Angels and the Yaksha Adepti are Liyue's equivalent of Arch Angels (i think of it like that because it made most sense to me when i was trying to "explain" it to myself and understand the adepti better.) And though that's not how you explained it, it felt very similar to how I look at it while also helping me understand it better!

    Also…. I need to ask because i've searched and searched for the answer and I can't find it anywhere…. Okay…. I have Xiao… He's at friendship level 10… Xiao is my favorite character and I've read his lore countless times and watch the perilous trail quest countless times (its by far my favorite archon quest), and i've searched it on the web multiple times but i still can't find the answer despite everybody saying it in fanfics and you even said it in this video…. I want to know what Xiao's weakness is….. I know everyone says its his "true" name but the only evidence i can find of that is when his loar says "Xiao is not this Yaksha's true name, but a name given to him in the interests of his own protection"… This to me could be taken at least two different ways

    1: his true name IS his weakness
    2: so many knew of his true name and feared it because of the things he was forced to do that Morax gave him a new name so people didn't find out he was the "bloodhound" of that evil god (can you imagen the way he might have been treated if people during the archon war knew of Xiao's acts under his previous master? It would probably have been almost as (or even as) traumatic as whatever all his master did to him!) and because of the traumatic weight that his true name bared.

    Anyway…. I'm just curious if its been confirmed that his weakness is his true name (and where I can find the confirmation because i've been trying to find it and can't) or if it could be something completely different and people just think it's his true name because of the sentence in his lore mention above.

22. The bird statutes could represent the Egyptian God Thoth who is the God of learning, knowledge and possibly wisdom and considering what Sumeru is about with the academy it seems to suit the region
