  1. I want them to add enemies that are strong against shields, but these mechanics effect all shields equally and their severity makes their use a liability. The punishment for getting hit is also very annoying since they will just waste your time. I would much prefer if they simply did more damage to characters who are shielded or if the strength of their abilities scaled based on the health of the shield they hit, which would be specifically strong against Zhongli without making all of geo and other shield characters unusable against these enemies.

  2. Sooo,,, i spent 2000$ on Zhongli, then they nerf him. Thats like bying a car , then the seller comes & takes half the parts back !! that is called THEFT. be very , very careful mihoyo.

  3. When it comes to these new enemy's my beidou is done for. Her whole playstyle just got wrecked. Tidecaler creates shield, strombraker creates shield. This guy's literally get buffed from hitting her… a character whose whole porpoise is to get hit and counter. MHY is really killing an entire concept of an element because zhong li is to strong. I get it but now they're nerfing all shield characters.

  4. Where is their motivation to expand if they are still making a crap ton just doing the same old stuff? If their motivation was to make a good game… maybe, but their motivation is to just make a game good enough to make lots of money. They've already reached their goal…

    So now, rather than innovate, they just need to maintain. Unless something changes significantly with the cash the game generates, I don't see them making any major changes.

  6. I have literally pulled for Staff of Homa for my Thoma and Zhongli. And for Itto's signature weapon. I feel like Mihoyo tricked me to get my primogems, tbh. I am a Geo main and my only non-geo developed characters all all shielders. So it seems I can't play any of my favorite characters now. Cool.

  7. I think MiHoyo started noticing how people are being more accepting and reserved with the characters they have now as old players, and especially with the presence of the very powerful support and sub dps units that could be paired with any new dps unit.
    They want money.

  8. I've been waiting on the cryo nerf for a while. The way gacha balances things, towards "One upping." the previous meta or even banner, then later years giving the older characters bull shit awakenings that are never really any good most of the time vs the current gen units at the time, but doing abyss without a shield is possible, its just rough, having to use bursts just to dodge specific attacks wasting it in the process. I've tried to avoid just always using zhongli though and bennett because of crap like this these companies do. But this also kind of makes diona useless also and is it the same for crystalized shields? They just buffed albedo, to nerf him again pretty much? Is this actually league of legends we're playing. I think they might have the same balance team.

  9. i absolutely agree. having variety of characters that only effective against certain enemies in the overworld just sucks, because you need to switch out teammates constantly while exploring. for contents like the abyss or domains, however, it makes sense, and adds more variety and tactics to overall gameplay, which adds more use for niche characters. that said, the difficulty spike for recent abyss stages is rather unnecessary. it's like they want to punish f2p players for even accessing that content.

I guess once they realised Zhongli's shield is too op and can handle too much dmg, and they also want to make us use different teams and characters (like advertise healers also) instead of just putting Zhongli in every team. Also, the fact that people without Zhongli had to dodge and Zhongli havers didn't, they probably wanted to come with an idea "how to make shielders dodge too, instead of hitting the easy mode button". In my opinion their move really sucks, geo is my favourite element despite having a shitty reaction that now may buff an enemy… We already had healing enemies so maybe if they nerfed their healing ability, made them easy to dodge and gave them a low health it wouldn't actually be so bad, rather challenging (you don't put a shield while facing them, or keep dodging and getting them one by one). That actually wouldn't be so unfun. Hopefully they'll listen to community and won't"ban all geo".
    Either way I'm still going to pull for Zhongli, I love collecting archons, and I still love my Noelle so hopefully they won't get nerfed too much, maybe these enemies will appear only in one region and won't stay for long in abyss, then it also won't be so bad.

  11. You are correct. I guess miHoYo cannot expand their game anymore because of the mobile devices limitations – video and ram most likely.
    I'm sorry to have spent in Genshin over 3000 USD and it's a dead game in the end.

  12. Meh. I'm pulling for zhongli. If these enemies are as oppressive as implied to shields I'll just not use him for those halves of whichever floors. Already came to the conclusion of building 3 teams for exactly this reason. Games been fun the three weeks since I started. Hopefully I don't miss kazuha because of zhongli.

  13. i think corrosion was enough to nerf zhongli… what are all those anti shield mechanics… and i don't even play any shield characters but it will affect all geo characters too no? why are they doing this when geo only does crystalize which is already the worst out of all reactions 😭

  14. Well this is total BS. Mihoyo don't want, or maybe can't tweak characters, cause they cost real money, so they making such stupid enemies?
    but this will nerf not only Zhongli, but ALL shielders and geo resonance….
    Like how Noelle supposed to heal the team if she can't use the shield? Diona cannot regen energy with her E and etc.

  15. They aren't nerfing him. They are adding new content that doesn't blatantly favor him the way pretty much all content did up until the corrosion mechanic was added. This is not the first time they have done something like this and I certainly hope it will not be the last. I don't object because all this does is mix things up by requiring you to use some other characters everyone already has (healers) who have been nearly irrelevant and under-utilized since shield meta became a thing. Zhongli will still be OP against all the enemies he was before because they are not actually changing the way he works as a character.

    I'm not a huge fan of spiral abyss but I'm definitely in favor or them trying to inject some novelty into the chore it has become after all this time. I absolutely agree we need some new, real end-game content but who knows when that will come along, if ever. If they didn't occasionally rotate the enemies around and force players to adapt, people would complain even more than they do now.

    This video is the bad kind of clickbait. Prolly should have been more of a PSA. "You need to know this before wishing for Zhongli."

  17. I'm pretty sure they're gonna just make these enemies spawn literally everywhere on the map.

    But all I have to say is…. They might negate a shield…. But remember . Make Zhongli unable to use one of his abilities, well he still has a huge meteor and the stone D*** which deals pretty huge damage, negate noelle's shield, well she still has a huge lightsaber. … Etc… Most shield characters/tanks have other ways to keep the team safe and deal FAT damage , just buff up your tanks and dodge the enemies attacks , plus as the name implies, if it comes down to taking damage for the team, well the tanks are the best placed for that

    Point is, it will always be possible to adapt.
    Still, rendering some characters biggest support ability useless is just…. How do I say this…… Dumb.

    Then again, for those who might get discouraged by this, keep your chins up.

    Adapting is one of the things the community is great at, keep your hopes up and prove these enemies that you don't need a shield to break them and cut them in two.
