  1. Just because he left the company doesn't mean that he is never gonna make music for MiHoYo again, he is likely to make arrangements and compositions as a freelancer for the company in the future just like Yoko Shimomura or Nobuo Uematsu did for Square-Enix.

  2. Being someone who listens to the Genshin soundtrack on Spotify, if he ever decides to compose his own music then I’m ALL down. Everything he has made so far is so beautiful and breathtaking so I have no doubt people like myself will keep supporting him. Wishing him all the best 💕💕

  3. That's life. People move on. I wasn't worried about the music of Genshin tbh. Most of my favourites are not done by him anyway. Hoyo-mix is full of other talented people that deserve recognition too.

Instead of being sad, look at the bright side, him leaving is bringing more awareness and recognition to all the others in the team and now he's able to pursue his own interests. And they honestly needed and deserve the recognition considering some people are actually spreading misinformation, thinking every piece of Genshin's music (plus Hoyo's other games) are composed by him.

And it's not like he's gonna quit making music altogether just because he quit Genshin. You can still enjoy his old works and his future ones too. They may not be for Genshin anymore but it is still made by him.

  4. most of the music structure has already been created for the chapter teaser. we saw this in the 2nd golden apple where the new composer use bit of Chen's orginal fischl theme to create the ironic "fischl battle theme", and he is not new to MHY, being a composer in Honkai 3rd with western classical style being a signature style of his, so it quite natural to takeover in fontaine's heavy western classical theme. the next region should have latino style which should be in his comfort zone too.

  7. The fact that many people recognize him just shows how talented he is on this music industry, And if he leave the industry to his old pal in the team, im sure he knew that his team will probably be fine

  8. He may not be involved in Hoyomix, but who's to say he wouldn't be a guest when Khaenri'ah (or the final boss that ends in closure) drops or he has songs made ahead of time for later boss fights.
But like everyone said, theres multiple talents in Hoyo-mix.

  9. I am personally quite sad to see Yu Peng Chen leave miHoYo, but I respect his choice and wish him success in his new career.
I have no specific concerns about this at all, as the theme for the Fontaine area, as well as The Chasm area, Sumeru's desert area, etc. and other themes by different composers are of very high quality and also fit the worldview of Genshin Impact. And to begin with, his music itself still can be enjoyable in the game in the future.
