In genshin impact, visions are often given out to those who have strong wills or a fervent wish and they are said to be given out directly by celestia themselves. If this were true, then why did one of the biggest tricksters in genshin impact so far, Furina, receive a vision. Given her involvement with the whole prophecy and Focalors own plans it would seem odd that celestia would grant here one. That said there does seem to be a reason behind this and in this video we are going to explain why furina was even granted a vision
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into genshin impact lore.

Good video
Well there's no actual deception of Celestia as such. The word is simply used as a metaphor for the way Furina (or whatever you want to call her but I'm going to call her Furina because Focalors is an Ars Goetia name and if she has another name than Furina we're never told it– I'm referring to the Archon prior to the split into two parts here) is able to manipulate the fate system of Teyvat into creating a positive outcome. There's not a literal person or intelligence that Furina manages to fool (other than herself of course).
As for the Vision she gets it under the same exact criteria as anyone else does. In this case it appears to be the moment she makes a lifelong commitment to a specific goal or ambition (her new life acting and directing in the theater). Pretty standard reason for getting a Vision and nobody can be surprised that Furina has extraordinary will power.
When does she say it's a reward? It doesn't matter because allogenes have all sorts of false beliefs about why they get their Visions. They don't know. But if it was a reward she'd have received it just after she was done doing her part surely? She doesn't get it then. The timing is off. What is she doing EXACTLY when she gets the Vision? Acting on stage, the very thing she had sworn off doing. She has therefore changed her mind about that. This change of mind is what gets her the Vision. It's not clear if she makes a commitment to acting, or just the theater in general.
Neuvillette has no conscious awareness of giving her anything just as is true for the Archons.
The only weird thing about her Vision is that it has a different casing than anyone else in Fontaine. For all we know everyone getting a new Vision in Fontaine going forward will have this new casing, so it might be about Neuvillette and not about Furina. Asking Neuvillette won't give us that answer.
But it's weird if the casing changes per Archon instead of staying the same per nation. That would suggest that we could look at very old people with Visions and see a casing from a prior Archon. Well Ganyu and Xiao are the oldest allogenes but neither precede Zhongli as Archon and in any case he has no predecessor as Archon. Naturally the first Visions only come after the nationa they are in gets it's Gnosis. Ganyu gets a Vision 3000 years ago and so does Zhongli get his Gnosis at that time. Note that Ganyu's Vision is a Liyue Vision not a Geo Vision. Therefore the halt in Electro Visions in all nations cannot be explained by anything to do with Ei since she is only related (subconsciously) to Inazuman Visions.
Who else… in as much as Yae Miko has a Vision (it looks a little different) we're not told exactly when she got it. She's barely 500 years old and the last Archon – at best – was 500 years ago so, since she didn't get her Vision with anything to do with the cataclysm it seems like she gets it under Ei, not Makoto. And that's the closest we get to having an allogene that got their Vision so long ago that they got it under the prior, now dead, Archon.
As for people with slightly odd looking Visions there is Kaeya with his close but not quite Vision. Well Venti has no predecessor and with Kaeya's new pirate outfit his Vision was rendered just the same as anyone else from Mondstadt, which suggests – hard to believe – that MiHoyo didn't make Kaeya's different on purpose??? it's a bug??? and they never fixed it? Even though they fixed a smaller bug on Zhongli's fake Vision years ago?
Also in consideration is Aloy's Vision which isn't like any nation (unless it turns out to be Natlan's design). So which gnosis did her Vision derive from? The fact that it's Cryo doesn't provide a clue. Huh. That observation probably provides the best and only real evidence for all that silly talk about an eighth gnosis… it's hard to establish that all Visions come from a gnosis and then say "not Aloy's though – her's popped out of nowhere". Still you hate to lean too much lore on Aloy.
are you from Malaysia?
There's also the angle I take that the prophecy was never a punishment in the first place, but rather a warning that the first Hydro Archon misunderstood. Reason being, the cause of the prophesized calamity is something entirely out of Celestia's control – a narwhal from "beyond the stars" owned by the Abyss which opposes Celestia.
Vision is based on the power of Nouvilette obviously, but it comes as a sign of Furina's own ambition, as it is usual with visions. As he says in the story, it is mortals that claim the small chunks of hydro authority, not the dragon that gives them. And the system is part of the "rules of the world", upheld by Celestia. While Nouvi has the hydro authority it probably takes more to change the rules that govern reality.
Nahida mentions that Celestia has been silent for a long time, but she was curious whether or not the destruction of a gnosis would awaken them. That's why they didn't do anything.
A huge critic: (Must read).
Furina isn’t just a “human version” of Focalors. Furina was Focalors. Focalors before becoming an Archon was just a young genius Fontainian Human (Oceanids who were blessed to become human). After becoming a Archon, Focalors was given powers/divinity unlocking all her powers as an oceanid and more. She only wanted to be a normal human and enjoy the joy of being one. But fate was cruel to her as she was arbitrarily chosen as the next Archon, bringing the heavy burden of saving Fontaine. After thinking over a long time, doing her research and everything, Focalors decided that the only way to save fontaine was manipulating a young Dragon Sovereign reborn as a Human while not opposing the prophecy made by the Primordial One in the open. To do this, she removed all her memories and divinity from herself, leaving behind a human self with no memories, powers and divinity but the same person she was when she first became human. And renaming herself Furina.
Remember the line mirror Focalors said to Furina?
“I supposed this is the justice that belongs to you.”
We all thought it was for Nievillette but it was actually for Furina. It means that the life Focalors always wanted was a peaceful life being a human but she was “unjustly” given a fate so unfair that requires her to save everyone but because of her just and selfless personality she could never abandon the people for her selfish wish.
The lyrics in La Vaguellette also depicts more of Focalors story than Furina as she had to sacrifice herself in the end. “Is this truly what you want? You will suffer loneliness etc etc.”
But seeing it was the only way. She had to do it. But at the same time giving her “new” self the ability to get her wish fulfilled.
Implied by her last words to Furina that she also just wished to be human but now atleast you can. It’s justice for Focalors/Furina to have the choice to be human and enjoy the remaining days of her life.
Called it
the simple reason is that the authority of Hydro was shifted Back to the Hydro Dragon Sovereign who had the authority to grant visions in the first place which was stolen. All Focalors did was return that authority back to it's original owner. THAT is what should've immediatly pissed off Celestia Not Furina's little deception. It's the fact a being that was suppose to be in charge of one of the stolen authorities literaly offed herself to give back the authority as a royal FU to her boss for trying to screw over the one wish she tried to grant her people. Note that she did it without her permission and behind her back. Yet it didn't seem fair at all that Celestia decided to off the Fontainians . My question however is WHY did she leave them be for over 5 centuries? Was it pity or to make Focalors suffer knowing in the end her decision is what brought about their end in the first place?
This definitely leads into the theory that celestia is running on automatic, either with whoever is supposed to be there is asleep, in a coma, or just elsewhere. So far no gnosis's have been destroyed but the hydro SEAT has been, but since nuevilette is behaving just like a normal hydro archon and supplying visions likely theres no alarm going off in celestia. The automated systems cant make any complex decisions they're barely sentient if at all.
I believe the reasons why Furina can use both ousia and pneuma because even if she is a human, her body still once belong to an Archon. As the changing stance revert to her archon look and able to summoned her former Oceanid form. I doubt anyone can do this. I believe the next Hydro vision for the people in Fontaine will only have one alignment but still have the fang look(probably every nation will have this).
Dragons cant create visions
Because she deserves it lol
I don't think the system used by Celestia is the same used by Neuvillette. The lore about visions from Neuvillette says that when vision holders complete their missions in Teyvat, the gods from Celestia that granted them the vision will get even better boons from this. Why would Neuvillette want to give any sort of strength to Celestia when he intends to go judge them for their crimes of usurping power? I think Neuvillette simply decided to create his own separate automatic system for Hydro visions, that's not connected to Celestia's. The way his vision story is phrased further strengthens this, because it says that instead of being power that needs someone's strong will/wishes to reach the heavens, he made it "as like unto the dragon-treasure hoards of old, awaiting valiant humans to come and claim them", so it certainly feels more like he made his own criteria for Hydro visions. With that in mind, it's very possible that now that he has absolute control over Hydro he can also choose to grant visions directly as well.
The Archons had no control because they were just borrowing power Celestia stole from the dragons and allowed the Archons to use, but with strings attached of course. But this power is originally from the dragons and Neuvillette has full control over Hydro, so it makes sense if he can also control who can receive visions now that Celestia no longer can exert their own control over Hydro.
Dragon judge I bet something near law of the world without any emotions. But it guess that the person who is charge is government by some something like world tree grant wish or vision or grand system cpu logics if the person who is weak there should be balance like the judge system or Raiden Shogun puppet to maintain order. I feel they following some theme. As for Furina I guess her emotion and innocent and actor have strong heart to protect her home. Without the dragon judge she would easy found out. So the dual judge and clown play the part.
its nuv he gave furina her vision it even has claws and evrything
because 500 years of pretending what you are , and who you want to be after it, is a big realization.
Guessed I pulled the wrong Archon then huhuhu…. I pulled Furina, now I need to get the real current Archon, Neuvillette. Wish me luck.
I feel like all the curse spirits he has will be expelled from his body including tengan. Maybe tengen since he's under kenjaku control he might destroy his barriers
There's some evidence that this "oceanid familar" thing just straight up isn't true and she's actually a scrapped (?) project of Egeria's to somehow mix the Abyss and Light realms. The last place Egeria supposedly was is Sumeru so she could have messed with the Irminsul. If you look at her E skill closely it's not an oceanid but it seems like it is supposed to represent her bcus it has the ahoge. Also having three pets on her other elemental skill. In her SQ three streams of water go backwards into the fountain. She's the sum of three parts: Egeria, Erinnyes, and Elynas. Maybe the Hexenzirkel is just picking up the pieces of this scrapped plan for reasons? Arlecchino is probably something similar whether she knows it or not. I mean the quest where we see Furina and Arlecchino meet is even called "Cataclysm's Quickening". This is all according to someone's keikaku…
Listing everything would be too long but imo this is the key thing from "Ancient Natural History Excerpts": "Some say that Egeria felt great sympathy for dragons, and others say she felt great sadness over the eventual fate of humanity. Now, all that we have left is a metaphorical representation whose true meaning remains unclear: "The lizard's bones dissolved into mud, from which swans emerged."" Check the swans/geese around Fontaine…
From Neuvi voicelines/stories he can now sense memories in the water and can give visions so maybe he gave a vision to cover it all up to let Furina live as a human? He has another voiceline where he says Egeria just wanted to connect everything with love and Focalors chose trials for meaningless trials instead so he knows something's up.
