for me its just a waste of a lot of artifact exp. theres no guarantee for getting good stats there.
This was underwhelming for me, i thought i could convert my decent stat artifacts into different sets. I won't waste my xp artifacts to get other trashy ones.

for a 3-to-1 conversion rate i'd expect them to let us choose the piece we want instead of sacrificing 3 shit artifacts for another shit artifact.

i really don't understand why players don't see the value in this. Don't say this system is trash just because IT ISN'T USEFUL TO YOU YET(emphasis on YET). BECAUSE SOONER OR LATER, you will have hundreds of 5 stars with nowhere to fodder it.

x2, x5 exp are random. I can get exp everyday why bother? XD
However, getting perfect sub stat and main stat, that's the jiffie.
I don't mind giving away 3 5* with trashy stat to get 1 nice 5* with godtier stats.
It's based on luck, but it's a good way to save time on artifact farming.

if only we were able to choose whether we want feathers/flowers/etc, then the artifact exp lost would actally be worth it when you need a certain piece to finish a character. 😔

yeah this is pain and i wont be trying it. i wish we had the option of selling 5 star artifacts. mihoyo giving us the ability to sell 4 star artifacts is actually a huge benefit since it helps keep inventory space and gets you some respectable mora, meaning less resin wasted on farming money
