Why The Character You Use Doesn't Matter In Genshin Impact

Regardless of how hard you whale, your character will be bad if you don’t grind out artifacts and weapons.

  1. Betya those guys are newbies cos too concerned about meta tier list. For me it’s all about waifus. But while i was leveling each characters’ friendship level, found out that other units such as chongyun or xingqiu are more fun to play. So pick the one you are comfortable with. And farm good artifacts. It doesnt matter if you have high-tiered units when u play shit in abyss or other hard content imo.

  2. i'll just think mtashed making a kokomi might be the worst 5 star in game vid is for the youtube algorithm. since hes preaching about it doesnt matter who you play. my kokomi is by far the character i wont regret i pulled

  3. the characters do matter, 5 stars are 5 stars because they are built stronger than 4 stars. If you don’t want to grind 24/7 for perfect artifacts for some “bad” chara, spend money on a character easier to build, that’s if you don’t wanna spend more money and time beating abyss

  4. Yes and no, some characters are better than others to deal damage, to heal/shield or to boost damage for example. Razor can't heal or shield, but he can DPS. Barbara can heal and shield but doesn't deal much damage (compared to others) because she wasn't made for this role. There are characters that are good to be in any role like qiqi but compared to other from any role she's average or zhongli but he's really good in every role since he was buffed.
Artifacts make a lot yes. But characters also make a lot of difference themselves (it would be pointless to pull for new character otherwise).

  5. this is why i don’t play for meta. ya it’s cool to see how big your dmg numbers can get, but it shouldn’t be the main focus of the game imo

  6. I mean it’s already been proven many times that it’s how you build and use a character that gives their value. Even amber, who’s considered as one of the weaker units, has been proven to dish out great damage with a proper build and investment. I guess asking if a character is good or not is always going to be subjective until you yourself have them and test them out.

  7. Just a reminder: The Abyss speedruns aren't necessary if you don't have great dps like the ones in showcases or haven't been able to build your character enough and can still make it with 3 stars its fine. Heck even getting 3 stars isn't compulsory, and yeah it doesn't matter even If you don't do Abyss as long as you can say "I'm having fun playing Genshin" or so it's all good 👌

  8. Even though I have "better" DPS characters, my Keqing is still my best Main DPS by far, because I invested the most time into her. That's what I love about Genshin in comparison to many other Gacha games. It's not really so much about meta, but which characters you like and which you invest the most time and work into.
