Small update:
Thanks to y'all in the comments who told me this, because I never went a patch without buying a skin. I had no idea that the skins were permanent tbh. I didn't buy the skin and I won't for the time being!
Im skipping 4.4. Xian Yun looks interesting but I already have a bunch of Anemo users that I don't use much, namely Wanderer, Xiao and Heizou. Kazuha is my go to and honestly i think he's enough. Plus we can get Gaming for free, no compelling reasons for me to pull at all. And I don't go for skins. Easy skip this time round.
Am not deffending genshin but 120+ pulls in the whole patch is pretty good don't you think?only if we could always get that much every patch
Well, can't you try getting cloud retainer without paying? Explore the new area, get as many primos as you can from events and see if you get her by the end of her banner. I might have misunderstood the point of this video, but, since hoyo only gaf about money, i don't see how using your free pulls does any harm
I got the Welkin, BP & Skins. I had a pity at 45 and lost my 50/50 to a C7 Diluc. I will not put any more money in this patch.

Every spender just needs to follow suit, do not spend anymore money on this game if you want some changes, I myself am not f2p, but I long past stopped spending on it, its not worth it, f2p isnt the cause of the problem its us spenders, to OP yeah you were about to do what hypocritectone did, kudos to you for not doing it.
I feel you. I used to whale, stopped buying an playing ever since dehya. Went to hsr an it's fucking night an day. It's actually mind blowing how hi3 an hsr are like different companies at this point.
Once content creator's understand the power an influence they have on the community to rally people together for a cause.
Point is for one patch it could make a difference. Especially considering the CN boycott. Though another issue is cc have no incentive to buckle because hoyo still pays them regardless. So they'll say the boycott doesn't matter, take your attention away from the cause to petty infighting between cc. Talking about you're boycotting in the wrong way, but refuse to tell you the right way to boycott, it's a ploy.
Money is the only issue hoyo will see. An if cc can come together for ONE DAMN PATCH well make waves.

I believe that nothing will change unless Cai Haoyu himself stepped down as the director and producer of Genshin. He used to the producer of HI3, until they changed him and he got Genshin. Look how he mistreated HI3 in his time, and look how David Jiang picked up his slack in HI3 post 2017. David Jiang is also the producer for HSR. Both games are more rewarding.
Unless Cai Haoyu step down, there'll be no changes.
I might point out that Nikke recently had it's one-year anniversary and gave away 127 free pulls, a fully limit-broken SSR character, and a bunch of other freebies, and still had its highest grossing revenue month, ever. It's almost as if treating your players well makes them willing to spend money. Crazy how that works.
I want to say thank you for this video! It feels like Genshin Impact has been frustrating for a little while now. And when I log in I don't have this fun anymore because nothing seems to change. tbh i was so excited for the new update bcz there is new area and lantern rite that is new for me and I want to experience+ xiao banner rerun i have his signature r2 I'm ready for him but when i saw the banner's i felt so disappointed that they pu faruzan and gaming in xianuon banner and Xiao's banner was trash i just stopped playing the game as usual too first time watching you btw
Man, I really respect your attitude. If only more people would take action to do something like this, it may really show HoYo what this kind of treatment brings to them. Because let's be honest, the only thing that will prove them wrong is lost revenue.

What an absolute load of crock. So you're going to be not spending money on Genshin (except for buying Ganyu's skin – which is gorgeous, btw) but you're still going to spend on HSR… aren't both franchises owned and operated by the same company or am I missing something?
Looking at what is behind you, you love this game. So why in heck are you hurting yourself in a lame effort to attempt to damage the reputation of a multimillion dollar corporation over 3 stupid primos? Boycotts DO NOT WORK against most large corporations especially ones in a foreign market in a country with an economy that is totally alien to ours in the West. People really are stupid over this entire incident. Just do some simple maths. MHY has about 10 million followers on one of those social media accounts in CN. About 1 million unfollowed / rage quit / whatever. That left 8-9 million; and what did they do: essentially NOTHING. Think about that… plus the fact that sales of Xianyun are through the roof in CN. ie. Most players in CN don't care about this issue…
Genshin is a game; people who spend money on Genshin, like me, do so to pay for "quality entertainment"; nothing more. If you don't like what they're selling or the way they do business, just stop playing any of their games and go play something else. Trying to tell other players to boycott them over a token gift of 3 primogens is so stupid as be beyond belief and the majority of mature players know this. So you have 24K viewers for this video and say for example 24K players take your advice and boycotts the game with a player base numbering in the millions and what are you going to do to MHY's bottom line? Answer: NOTHING.
So, you personally won't be pulling on Ganyu' Mom despite wanting her for a long time. Who are you really going to hurt at the end of that equation? Answer: YOURSELF; and over really what is a non-issue. Here's my advice: GO GRAB A COPY (or more) of Xianyun. She is absolutely worth every penny/primo you spend and she will bring good entertainment for years to come. A much more sensible investment than trying to pursue a lost cause over a non-issue.

But if I had to pay them something I wouldn't do it. I just don't think it's worth it…
I preffer to use my money on more standard styled games, like Granblue Fantasy Relink… like, you pay once and get everything it has to offer.
