Whether you love or hate Genshin – and trust me, there's a lot to both love, and hate, this game has simultaneously reshaped the entire Gacha landscape, pushing the genre forward in terms of gameplay and graphics, and continues to be a polished, quality title for every major gaming platform.
The community will hunt u for saying there's no End game and its a story based game , while they keep relesing characters and combo's every patch
Kinda funny I hate genshin and I love genshin that my state since the first year of the game love and hate
Whether you love or hate the game, the fact remains that it's the top most profitable gacha for 2 years.
The sales even went higher especially with recent Nahida banner.
It's true it has some clear flaws like Endgame and Rewards but everything else genshin doing it right.
dam idk if I should comeback to genshin
I remember playing genshin on Oct 7, 2020(I checked my email registered acc) then quit mid tutorial where it teaches you bout the flight/wing or smthing cuz its not my type of game i guess. Even if I come back to play it, I mostly gonna focus on story and I watch some videos bout "is it worth playing playing genshin in 2022" then I see
lot of comments that not recommended to play it in 2022 cuz missed lot of events, rewards, hard for f2p, boss getting tanky af and stuff blah blah so fckit not gonna play it then
Still haven't found a gacha that made me stick to it like FGO. I'm still playing FGO
I find grinding for artifacts in genshin better than whaling for them like other gacha games.
Wouldnt say genshin is bad its okay game tbh
Genshin may have some noticeable flaws but this game has become a culture and standard to gacha games and even gaming phones. Another thing that I think why Genshin has attracted a lot of players and has become popular across platforms, on top of the good qualities mentioned is that the game caters to wider range of different types of players.
Whether you are extrovert, introvert, casual, student, teachers, celebrity, whale, businessman, officeworkers, whoever you are in the society you will always find a place or sweetspot in the game and the instant connection you feel to certain characters as they reflect your own unique situations in real life.
Tbh genshin 3D model just look soo good back in 2020 next to honkai obviously..most anime games i played over the past few years..whether gacha game or not..hardly find any anime games with amazing 3D MODEL..honestly …most anime games usually only flash 2D sprite but when comes to 3D the porpotion.. sometimes it look off for anime style n just decent.. that s why mad respect for mihoye..despite all of that …CAN U PLS ADD COLLECT ALL BUTTON!? …basic of basic..lol
I actually love grinding artifacts and find it very rewarding lol
The key is to not have too high standards and to know where to move on
I'll try to be as simple as possible, I love Genshin but I hate playing him. Many might say it's a really cool game, say it has a fantastic story, charismatic characters, great scenery and music, and yes, I really agree with that, but when it comes to playing it, I'm afraid it's lacking a lot. I hate comparisons, but if we are going to compare with other gacha, Genshin is far from being generous with its players, it is far from doing things for its players, and that for me counts a lot, since it seems that the company only cares about your money and not with your fun and entertainment. I played Genshin for a year and I remember well that I was stressed more than in other gacha games, my account does not even compare in those games to Genshin, apart from that I managed to do more content in the game than there, that made me see that I made the right decision by leave the game. Since then I never went back and even colleagues who played a lot of Genshin are leaving it, I never said why I stopped playing the game, but when they heard my reasons, none of them disagreed with anything I said.
There is no substitute in the genre for just how polished it is. For me, I did finally quit a couple months ago simply because it became a bit tedious with how easy it is. The story wasn't quite interesting enough for me to justify the tedium unfortunately. That being said, I haven't played many games everyday for over a year, so I have to give it props for that.
Aether Gazer when? 😀
Nah for me FGO is best gacha game my first gacha game i played
My most favourite thing is lore and world. I really like the way they present lore through books, items description, weapon description, artifacts etc. (Probably because i like souls game, elden ring lore). Even a single thing even a rock you pick have lore to it. And how It's connected.
I love this game so much that i quit 2 months ago ngl
These days I jump back-and-forth between Genshin for superior story/graphics, Tower of Fantasy for superior exploration/multiplayer, and Granblue Fantasy for Cygames' superior player-friendliness. All of these have their strengths and weaknesses, but none really pull ahead of the pack for me.
Side note: If Cygames ever came out with a 3D open-world version of Granblue, I'm 95% sure it would blow both Genshin and Tower out of the water for me and become my main game. Sadly, this does not yet exist.
11 days ago you bashed Genshin being nominated. Now you say this.
Ehhh.. I don’t like Genshin at all, but I do like their “art” more than ever. Only reason why I would like them to succeed is for them to produce more waifus.
Where is this " polished game " coming from? This game by NO means is polished. Is it a bad game? Depends. Is it a good game? Depends. But when you calm a game " polished " then your basically saying and acknowledging the fact that it has zero to no problems and that it's at its greatest peak in top performance and everything. That it can literally beat the best of the best games out there from over the years.
By no means am I shitting on the game but at the same time on not gonna blow smoke and kiss a** on something that this game is not. There's nothing wrong with being realistic about the actual state of the game and how bad it's been doing/heading towards internally. While plastering on fake glitz and glamour.
Well for those who sees this game rationally to a certain extent, thx. And for those that continue to turn a blind eye yet knowing this issues…well to each their own.
Haters gonna hate but Genshin stays #1 number when it comes to gacha. Someone has to be delusional to say otherwise.
used to play genshin, was fun but lost intrest.
I haven’t played genshin in almost 2 years but it’s become THE industry standard and everything else gets compared to it
just curious, did people hate genshin because of the game, or the community? they even labeled it as G word
For me, GI is the most boring gacha game I've ever played, the gameplay is bland, the plot communication is lengthy, the challenge is indescribably boring, I'd rather play Honkai and find it more challenging than GI.
I think that genshin impact has 4 pilars
1- souls like world lore
2- character desing
3- easy to learn gameplay
4- you dont need the latest 5* / SSR character to do the game content, make it a f2p friendly game.
kek worst game and video
Tbh I'm surprised Genshin can gain the popularity it has right now, because imo their gameplay is really unique and in theory shouldn't work out. Afterall unlike most gacha/combat game, Genshin is a 'Story with Battle' where lore is the priority and combat second, rather than the other way around loll
My joy in Genshin these days is doing the events/story/lore. I skipped doing dailies/battle pass progression long ago since I have good enough teams for everything at this point
Events especially since they usually are minigame of shorts that dont require daily login to get all rewards but rather all is open near the end of the events time. You are done in 1-4 hours and nothing more. I look forward to the casual main events per update Genshin provides for the random fun gimmicks they doing this time around. Doing the event more of the sake of fun rather than the rewards it provides. Wasting time in community creation maps in rhythm/parkour thingy they done was a blast
They just feel more event event like with rewards added to them than grind events in your standard gacha/MMORPG events
Genshin is the best, because no other Gacha Game delivers that high graphic/gameplay/story/music/character design quality in 1 big package and that playable on all big platforms, especially on consoles and that all on top of it localized soon with 3.3 then in 15!! FIFTEEEN!! LANGUAGES at least in text form to make sure the game is globally understandable for the biggest n most valuable demography of potential players. No fucking other pathetic cheap predatory try hard Genshin Clone Gacha Competitor does these huge efforts to be internationally successful, and alone therefore deserves Genshin to win the awards again.
Genshin has a Music Composer, creating 1 divine masterpiece to the ears after another. The story writing quality steadily become better n better with every patch, especially since 2.0 onwards with Sumerus Story being now the most heartbreaking one, that turned in an heart beat a huge mass of Nahida Haters into Nahida Lovers, not only because of thee great story, but also because our cute Featherball Grl turned out gameplaywise to be the greatest Support Character up to date, that you will want to have, shes an absolute Must Have Character, as an Archon naturally anyway.
But enough with the praise. Do I say Genshin is perfect as it is? Hell no. No Gacha Game is perfect. They all have their own flaws, problems, bad aspects that need to get fixed or better balanced – and yes, Genshin is still a very greedy Game after 2 years, nothing has changed, everything is the same greedy as the game was Day 1 when you get out of the Honeymoon Phase and you see every Gachas true face. The point however with Genshin is.
You will never need anything of it, you can do everything in the Game without ever spending a single Cent, slower than others, yes, but theres nothing you cant do successfully after enough time.
You dont need to have every Character, every Weapon. Genshin gifts players every second patch in rotation even free 4s Characters n free unique 4s Weapons to reward activity at least at the right time constantly. You get every now n then even free Skins, while 5s are paid ones, but no P2W, they are just cosmetical, thus 100% optional.
Playing Genshin is like comparing driving either a Ferrari, or a Ford. Both will bring you to the goal, the Ferrari is just luxurios comfort in speed n costs therefore more money.
Genshin has like all Games its issues, the question is only to yourself – Can you bear n stick with them, or not, because if not, are you free to quit the game anytime you want in search for a game thats more after your personal fancy!!
There wont exist so fast any Gacha Game that will beat Genshin, unless its producing developer is willing to go through the same quality efforts, as like MHY did with Genshin Impact.
I see no pathetic trash like ToF, or like DI being playable on all platforms. I dont see these Wannabee Cash Grab Games being localized globally, so that basically eveeyone can play them, who has Internet on the prefered platform of personal choice.
Thats also the reason why games like Punishing Gray Raven, Path to Nowhere ect will always stay unnoticed and wont ever get nominated for such Game Awards, because if you want to be in these days a big number in the Game Industry, you also have to think in big circles and take also risks, like taking more money than others usually into the hands, to invest into a really good Game Marketing, Localization and Player Connection/ Reaching, that you can have only, if a Game gets released worldwide on all platforms.
You cant fucking expect Gacha Games to beat the superior Genshin Impact, if said low quality games are then playable only on Mobile, or only Mobile/PC n leave out the huge console market completely full with hundreds of millions potential players which absolutely hate n dispise for various reasons games on other platforms, than playing chilled at home with their consoles on TV.
Games like ToF will be first a real competitor to GI worth winning the award, if they can say of themselvs proudly, that they are quality wise on face niveau with Genshin Impact and as a Game same as accessible to everyone on all platforms, like the rival.
Genshin has set up for 2 years now an unmeasurable quality bar, that 95% Gacha Games will NEVER reach, or can ever dream about of surpassing, cause the most developers simply cant finance these kind of efforts MHY did in the first place.
Simply said, Genshin feels less like a "Gacha Game" and more like a Game with a Gacha.
As someone who wit 25 year of gaming experience when people say Genshin was the best game n masterpiece I was like bruh go play more game plz
My biggest problem with genshin is the story. It is so boring and I can't even skip it.
Genshin respects people's "working"? hours
Heck, some npc dialogues teaching us to touch some grass 😂
ofc genshin has high amount of players, as devs said, it caters to the extreme casuals with no hard content. just like how every shitty clickbait video you made caters to genshin only players
The best slot game on mobile
Best gacha game 🤣🤣🤣?u got a joke
genshin as a game had the most potential that got snuffed or reduced just because of it being mobile and ive never played a game i loved but hate more than genshin ever since ive finished halfway in sumeru. The change and standards it gave to gacha games ingeneral is praise worthy on that regard and i cant deny how many gacha games are breaking from being "gacha games" to being "games with gacha" as the point due to how successful it is. But out of any other gacha game, i hate this game more only behind AL due to how much time ive wasted getting my hopes and expectations too high and getting disappointed, not including the copious amount of grinding i did for characters. There was a time where i thought the only gacha game id play was genshin after leaving azur lane but nowadays i have no plans in coming back, but i never really got shitting on genshin excessively since genshin itself felt more like a "beta" to more expansive games with a fair gacha mechanic, which id say genshins mechanic is lenient on release but the additions like the safe guarantee for weapons makes it a bit more distant, though i have no idea if they changed it.
Case in point, great memories, i hate the game, may come back in a few years but until then im sticking with GFL and AK
Can I start Genshin now? Or is it too late?
Plus Points for me
1.Regular Updates with something new to do everytime
2. Less PvP oriented which honestly is very common in gacha games andbrings tons of stress even if done right
3. The Gacha is honestly more generous than most other titles ; ofc some games are still way better
4.Gameplay is unique and has tons of easy to understand mechanics to play with …fluid gameplay if u realize just how much stuff is going on the screen inthe backgrounds
I mean ik zelda styled games may not be ur thing(BUT LETS BE REAL, ITS SUBJECTIVE)
5. I wont overhype it as the story has flaws even the Nahida archon quest but its still leagues above most other gacha games with a bland story that u end up skipping
Minus points for me
1. No Multiplayer content or optional multiplayer content like a raid Boss
2. Artifact rng has no improvement like in some other games giving some extra items to manipulate the rng a bit
3. Toxic community, i mean i would even argue its the worst
4. Not enough quality of life update offered by the devs showing how little they care about the games community
5. Its both Bias hate and Bias love in the gaming community igl
And for the record i have played 30+ gacha games over the course of last 6 years
Nikke has lousy progression, maker of Nikke does not want you to have fun. TOF is boring. Neural Cloud is meh. So, yes, Genshin is best, and has been best for about 2 years now.
EDIT: I forgot Arknight. Arknight number 1. Genshin 2.
