  1. They are likely in a state of hibernation to recover from injuries sustained during the war with the Second Who Came, and will only move if something on par or worse than the Cataclysm happens.

  2. I think celestia summoned traveler and lumine but lumine after witnessing the darkness of this world may have tried to get away along with traveler that's why they stopped traveller from going away from tevyat and make them their successor or source for their power for them to retain control over tevyat

  3. "That throne in the sky is not reserved for you." – Dainsleif
"The keeper is fading away; the creator has not yet come. But the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend." – Character details
"The world you once knew is but dust, and the wonders you knew but rubble. Though you should have your own world, and your own people — lamenting what is already lost…" – K.K

The Heavenly Principles choosing the traveler as a successor could be one of their plan. Paimon's programmed but unknown task could be to take the traveler to Celestia cuz of all her celestial motives she shares with the statues of the seven and everything related to celestia (divine nails), and that one melusine's description of paimon of a balloon tied to the sky despite their warped vision of the world
Since they weakened after the cataclysm, they had to cut ties with Teyvat for a while to fully recover (a star-beast literally breached the firmament and started consuming the primordial sea energy for example, why would they not intervene if this was a threat to the entirety of Teyvat?) they could look for someone to watch over the world.
If an alien was able to subdue the original order but not completly…only another alien will be able to do the same or greater.

Crack theory incoming : But since they know everyone's fate, maybe they know another catastrophe is about to happen and they have to choose someone powerful enough (another Descender) and fast by the time they recover, bcz they wont be able to intervene again after losing too much power 500 years ago.
Maybe the sibling is trying to overthrow celestia because they dont want us (the traveler) to become a slave that has to look over a foreign world for the thousands of years to come, and especially when they told us we'll understand at the end of our journey the meaning of all this.
Is the traveler even going back home with our sibling…or are we staying…
It's even weirder because of the fact that it was Khaenriah that summoned the travelers…not Celestia..or they "helped" them a bit on purpose without anyone knowing

  4. Plot twist: The Heavenly Principles are none other than IPC employees or someone who created the IPC, and the people of Teyvat are artificial humans, just like our dear Traiblazer

  5. I think the Sustainer is on vacation.
Jokes aside, most likely she's either fighting something else or she already spent all her power, and until Celestia gets more allogene juice she's out of commission.

  6. The key thing is the term "Old world".
Old world is used to describe the world under the Sovereign Dragons.
Neuvillette often describes how the world of Teyvat's resentment over the Usurper's laws.
Burning the old world maybe could mean to stop Teyvat's resistence to the new world order, a final ceasement to the world's attempts to destroy humankind by returning to its inhospitable ways.

  7. What if the Heavenly Principles are dead? They haven't been heard of for so long that it's a little suspicious, and the Nails don't look like weapons at all but broken off pieces of the same pillars you see on the title screen. What if Celestia is crumbling and the pillars falling to Teyvat below is perceived as divine judgement when it's actually just coincidence? The one thing that could debunk this theory is that Pierro believes it was the Heavenly Principles who destroyed Khaenri'ah which is kinda hard to disprove since he was there and all.

  8. For me the Heavenly Principles has to be at the Moon or is the Moon itself, could be a Moon Sister or related to them, this is because all "final bosses" and "final stages" of Hoyoverse is the Moon. And Kiana is the one character who always fulfills her Destiny at the Moon, which in this game is the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles.

In the latest Lantern Rite Xianyun looked at the Moon and says: "Fate is fickle. The cruel reality of this world is that suffering and misfortune can befall any of us without design or reason."

Hoyoverse's first game was FlyMe2TheMoon where Kiana's Destiny is to fly to the Moon, this has continued to be the case for every single Hoyoverse game with Kiana, the Moon represents Fate and Destiny itself in Hoyoverse. Kiana will go to the moon and become the Herrscher of The End/ Finality, which is the embodiment of Destiny; And in Genshin she is the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, which means she is the Sustainer of Destiny.

Previously it was Yoimiya's chapter 2 where she talks about Origin and Destiny while looking at not just the Moon but also Celestia. "One represents the past, and the other the future. They both bloom in the sky but have completely different meanings behind them." The scene is always set to night, when she says this, the camera points directly at Celestia first, then cuts to the Moon, as if telling us that Celestia represents the past/Origin and the Moon the future/Destiny.

We will almost certainly meet with the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles on the Moon or the Moon will reveal itself to be something crucial.

  9. In the French version of traveler character detail, it roughly the same as the English one but the rather than saying ''the creator has not yet to come''
it goes like ''the one who can save her have yet to appear''.
    Her refering at the keeper

  10. My theory and i haven't watched the video yet: The 3rd Descender will be revived with all the 7 dragon ba- I mean 7 chaos eme- I mean 7 gnosis combined with the help of the Fatui. The 3rd Descender will give info and help us in finding a way to defeat Celestia. But due to the revival of the 3rd Descender, that's when Celestia and the Heavenly Principles intervene albeit not face to face. Maybe they'll send like creatures or sky pillars that could hinder our plans (and by this point we will be with the Fatui, Abyss Order still doing stuff in the shadows, and the Traveler still broke.)

My evidencesband backing claims: I have none because one can only imagine.

  11. Ever since the latest AQ i'm only thinking "How do the Heavenly principles just don't care about that"
I can't imagine it being such a little problem that the authority of the hydro archon was given back to the hydro dragon, Focalors killed herself and that there are no more the seven but the six.
Plus Neuvillette as a fully fledged dragon now gained even more power now and wants to "punish" the Usurper with this power.
But i guess Genshins gonna be Genshin and nothing will actually happen even after Focalors deceived the heavenly principles and "shook the rules established by celestia" which would for me be a huge signal that shit is going to go down soon enough and not that we're happily living on our lives, recording movies and celebrate festivals. I don't know..
Heres hoping 4.6 will deliver on that.

  12. Given they the principles are asleep as confirmed by nahida, and the gamble she pulled worked. The heavenly principles may be like venti and only awaken when something world shattering happens or someone is directly challenging celestia itself. The last time they awoke was the cataclysm but they appeared late, after significant damage would've already been done to the world. Not the greatest idea but an interesting one

  13. I subscribe to the theory that Descenders ARE stars. Sentient stars. All celestial beings are probably stars, in fact, seeing as our twin sibling is NOT a Descender, but fell down with us. The Traveler consistently informs people he is a star, and we first see them as stars falling to Teyvat. Razor says we smell like stars. We also see that Deshret, who could possibly have been a Descender himself, is symbolized by an 8-pointed black star. (I personally think he IS the Third Descender, but I digress)

If all celestial beings are simply stars then what logically follows is that the Gnoses are fragments of a fallen star.
What happens when you wish upon a star?

The same thing that happened in Inazuma, when all the people placed their hopes and wishes upon us as we faced off against Raiden Ei. The star grants your wish.

As for where the Heavenly Principles are at, they're in hibernation either in Celestia or higher up in the sky. The Second Who Came heavily weakened them, to the point that they could no longer control Teyvat's systems and needed to create the 7 Gnoses in order to maintain control.

  14. Heavenly Principles are such a non issue in the current story that anything they do with them down the line honestly won't be that grand.
Genshin's story has okays ups and horrific dips in story telling quality it's just sad.

  15. The fact that Klee's mom has to protect Teyvet from other descenders from descending into Teyvet through its border it's such a gigachad move. I wonder just how powerful is she to be able to do that. That makes me wonder if the travelers have met Alice instead of the Heavenly Principal at the border of Teyvet would the story be different from here. I mean there would be no story if Alice grants the travelers passage right away instead of stopping the travelers unlike the Heavenly Principles.

  16. Would be crazy to find out time is in a loop and the two travelers are like the first two. Destined to destroy the world until celestia has to step it to save it. I believe this is a bigger version of how the sumeru archon quest is. Destined to happen again and again until the descenders wise up to it also kinda fits your fourth theory

  17. Alternate Theory: The Heavenly Principles are tried of cleaning up the messes of Teyvat and is willing to let the Sinner, Tsaritsa and Abyss Twin do whatever. I mean imagine creating civilization and having to stop the people from spreading the plague, creating monsters, opening holes in the sky, and then try to wage war with you. Maybe the Heavenly Principles just peaced out.

  18. HI3 Part 2 got me thinking if/how genshin might fit into the greater honkai cosmology. What if the Cataclysm was their equivalent of an event that cast a copy of the world Teyvat is on into the Sea of Quanta. If the Heavenly Principles are the equivalent of the world's Herrcherers, the real Celestia is now cut off from this shade of Teyvat we're exploring ("The sky is fake"), and it took 500 years for the Traveler to awaken because time passed asynchronously while they found a way to send them into the bubble universe in the Sea. And Paimon is akin to a living drone that's reporting back to Celestia without her knowing (The one Melusine seeing a tether to the sky from her).
