Honesty the main reason I'm still playing this game is the story and i won't quit for the same reason
I don't really play the game these days i barely log in to my main account I'm just waiting for new story and i really hope they don't dissapoint me like what they did in 2.1
I literally made a new account doing all the quests again because i love to play the game but there's basically nothing i can do on my main
Honestly , Genshin has always been a stress releaser for me. Like those busy days, coming home after work, drinking a cup of coffee and letting the stress all out. Enjoying the music, scenery, story, hanging out in Coop. That's what matters to me at the end of the day. Gacha was never a selling point for me in this game, and I couldn't care less about it. Just wanna have a nice time and chill, while I'm at it. This serves the purpose and I'm happy.
How about quitting the game and uninstall this trash?
I've played or still playing multiple Gacha games before I played Genshin Impact. FGO, Arknights, PriConne, Seven Deadly Sins, Guardian Tales, Uma Musume, Alchemy Stars and PGR. The goal really when I'm going into a gacha game is to see if the gameplay is fun enough for me to continue playing, how characters are designed and written if they are part of the story and see if I will like a certain character.
The ones that really stuck to me are FGO, Arknights and Genshin Impact. They had interesting character design and interesting character lore that I can enjoy while having gameplay that is interesting enough for me to continue playing no matter how much of a grind it will be. I certainly am looking forward for more characters and how they will make the character come to life and what is their relevance to the story, or if not, just their background.
So since I have been fully committed to Genshin Impact, I have started spending on the game and I've been enjoying since then, playing characters I love like Keqing , Zhongli and Ei-chan. So I'm hoping for more Electro characters that are fun or just more characters that are interestingly designed and written.
If I ever think that playing the game is becoming a chore I will most likely stop playing it, That's why out of all the gacha games I mentioned only 3 was the one I stuck with and hopefully Genshin will continue be good in its own way.
i'll be 100% honest all i'm hearing from you is this :
please keep playing this game so my youtube channel stays relevant .
the fact you said you're not doing your events you're looking for other ways to enjoy the game other than the ways the devs intend it for you to enjoy sounds to me you're in denial and wants us the fans to be copium with you.
every game out there has a dev team and a business team so why other game has it on lock that they gave us a fun game without us feeling the business side of things.
stop defending a bad game model idc how good the story or how good the game play is if the foundation of the game play cycle is bad ,the communication between the players and the dev team non existent and the influencers/streamer treat the player base like sheep/ toddlers its not a place i want to be in .
as an influencer i suggest to you to try opening communication between the players and the dev team try fix problem not hide them cuz sooner or later ppl would just move on and a new/better game is just a matter of time , everyone defending Mihoyo will turn on it and say i was against Mihoyo from the start.
TL;DR Genshin devs and Genshin influencers need to do better toward the players starting with giving them the respect the deserve.
I love challanges, overcoming them (spiral abyss and difficult events) by maxing out and building as many characters and teams as I can. I like the characters stories (not the quests most of the time tho tbh), the fighting and the aspect of optimizing.
I do enjoyed most of events on Genshin. Luckily we can get Primos with minimal efforts on events (and enhancement ores if serious enough). Not all contents I will hoarding all Primos such as Spiral Abyss, can be stressful and I don't want to push myself. I can comeback later when my tolerance is good enough and repeat again until I have to stop continuing. Only event I don't care is Wintrace event, I don't care Primos over there. Like you said, I don't care about playing it because I feel not like it. Your video enlightened myself on this game ~
For me, its simply to enjoy the game and pass the time. I login, play dailies, burn resin, do something event-related or just do farm routes, then logout.
Usually done in 2 hrs. Then im done for the day. It only stresses me out thinking about the game's problems so nah, i have other problems than this
I like upgrading most of the characters to a certain degree, not just a few to be crazy but building them to a 70% potential. Id say is the part i like the most. In Inazuma i really enjoyed the exploration though, and the story quest especially the first part got me in, id like them to focus more on that even if its not straithforward making money for them like giving us characters to pull for.
Genshin has A LOT of potential tbh. The lore is rich BUT problem is… MHY likes to leave things open-ended. Main story is nice so far but there seems to be a pattern everytime Traveler comes to a new zone. The game is still far from being complete (lorewise) but somehow lately it just doesn't hook you in anymore.
They have been busy on making new characters (given we have Inazuma rn) that A LOT of features in the game have been left out. Hangout quests are one of those for example. What happened to those?
Events. They also have almost the same pattern nowadays. Why not have pop-up/weekend events like some other games do, like: x2 ley line weekend or reduced-resin-cost-on-certain-domains-weekend or just something else.
Graphics and music are already awesome and you can see they've really put a lot of effort on it. The combat sometimes needs work BUT that's what makes Genshin, Genshin. The game has potential just needs a good polishing AND really lacks a good "marketing/events/creative" team.
« Some players play this game with frustration » ! Gasha main mechanism right ?
purpose is to play with one hand and the right hand is with my meat
I play for the exploration, story, waifus, jrpg aspects of the game, and the combat (I also like the gacha aspect of the game so wishing too.)
My purpose in playing Genshin is beautiful, enjoyable game with excellent combat. Crappy Anniversary is not going to make me quit. Mihuyo definitely being an ass right here though.
Playing the game as a freeloader. What else?
my issue is no anniversary event…okay…so maybe they are prepping for a larger patch….but alas no…2.2 seems like more of the same…
I think you make a great point Walruss…bc till today ive logged in everyday to do dailies….burn resin…etc etc in the event they finally drop engaging content…multiplayer dungeons, or truly difficult events…ANYTHING…to expand on such a beautiful game…but still nothing.. and im so beyond burned out..logging into genshin is my least favorite part of my day when i'm finally home from work.
I guess i just have to accept it is what it is and let that resin stay capped…skip these chore events and just call it quits for now until they decide to do something meaningful.
Absolute bummer.
If Mihoyo didn't give us Anniversary Rewards, Blue Protocol is waving.
My purpose is seeing beidou. Simple
Please for the sake of gatcha genre games , don't support greedy stingy companies like mihoyo , if mihoyo manages to make an other billion in their second year ,expect every incoming gatcha game to follow the same path ,which is extremely low rates , no rewards , and overpriced in-game purchases .the anniversary is mihoyos last chance for me to redeem themselves .if the rewards aren't worth it ,then I'm quiting this stupid game and give them a 1 star review in every possible store .plz if u can't quit ,at least don't support this greedy company financially .go f2p until they realize how worthy the community is .
thanks for opening my mind…the more i think about it the more I realize why I actually play it…cause all this time I only play this game just for adventure..but once I 100% all the places I don't have any motive left other than collecting prymogems for eula.
After all this, you're trying to do Mihoyo's PR for them too? Lol ok bro..
from now on, im just pure f2p player. since im have enough chars n now ongoing to upgrade every char i have, even tho not pay anything (welkin & bp)… ill try even tho its take time. im banning myself to support any financial to this 'poor' MHY.. the reason im still playing r i love this game so much, including story/lore, characters n the world itself..
I personally play as a relaxing game, ive played too many games that grind my gears and have grinded the games themselves, and i just wana relax with Genshin, i love so many aspects of the game. Ive never been this delved into a game with passion as much as i have with genshin
I really wanted Xiao, Ganyu and Ayaka after I got them I felt relieved because I could just play at my own pace. I dont even do the dailies anymore I just go in and fight bosses for a while and wander around. I really love the lore of this game but Inazuma lore feels very isolated from the rest of Teyvat lore so even though the Inazuma lore is great it feels like there's been no new discoveries on the grand overarching mysteries.
Where the f do the dislikes comefrom
Going forward I'm F2P now.
I'm ready to move on and right now I'm only sticking around to find out how will this whole anniversary situation end out of pure curiosity. I haven't even logged in for a whole week now and i have active welking going. I just can't be bothered anymore.
I just love the game right now, I play in the evenings with my husband after dinner and we do our daily commissions together, and we talk about what characters we want to roll for. We haven’t had time to spend much resin. It’s just fun, if a good tv show comes out that we want to watch we will probably do that instead. But for now Genshin is our entertainment time. We also buy the welkin and battle pass. I watch some of the youtubers for game strategy because it’s just a lot more fun to play when you know what your doing so THANKS!! 🥰
hahah, i've already rated 1* in almost 100 accounts
I’ve started playing less lately. I wish they would change
Idk know if I'm quitting or not but I'm surely going f2p now, mihoyo does not deserve the support they got from the start, and the anni was just the last drop in the bucket, there's also the incredible lack of end game content since day one, there's also more problems since day one that I don't want to talk about here because to be honest I don't care anymore, mihoyo doesnt care about their players so I'm done caring about the game and mihoyo and it's developers, I'm not even advertising their game to my friends anymore because I honestly feel like the game is not worth it.
For me, I enjoy using the characters and story, thats it, but the kokomi is trash, the anniversary is horrible and the rumoured childe 2nd rerun has upset me badly but after chide is hu tao which I'm looking forward to
I'm still hoping they're just like "F it, we're just going to wait and surprise them with what we have planned". I took a large break after Xiao's release up till Inazuma's release (regretting not being on for Kazuha), and if they don't actually have anything else planned for the anniversary, I may just take another break. My thing is, if the rewards are the same as other events, why call it an anniversary event? What makes it so special and different from any other event? Why, because the game is turning 1 year old? It just doesn't get me excited at all for it because it feels like any other event we've had over the last year. I will not fully quit, but I may not log in for a while.
