  1. The two biggest reasons I was considering not pulling Chiori were
    1. she's a geo character and may not synergize well with any of the characters I've built
    2. the next several characters rumored to come right after her are tough competetion (Neuvilette, Kazuha, Arlecchino, and hopefully Furina)

    Edit: also I just want to complain somewhere about the new Ode to the Dawn Breeze Wish thing, because even though I'm really glad its now somewhat feasible to get standard banner items like Wolf's Gravestone for my Diluc and albedo for being f2p back when he was available, the fact that it requires intertwined fate instead of acquaint fate just adds more reason to not pull for characters that may be fun to play, but aren't absolute must-haves (case in point: Chiori).

    All in all, I'm still kind of mad that I somehow convinced myself that it would be an alternative to the standard banner, not more competition for the limited banner

  2. As a first day player when zhongli and albedo were released, the first thing comes to my mind the about future of geo were a terrain changer, using contruct to change terrain. Example like mc geo burst that make surrounding area block opponent direction, that time i think some future character can make a cage construct, better than mc geo burst as atternative to venti suction burst this way overload reaction would be more viable as they are trap in a cage. Or make cannon contruct well we do have navia burst as air strike as cannon but not construct and chiori has those doll which somewhat close to my idea of cannon construct. I mean zhongli skill has resonance to any geo construct so i think they have that idea but it kinda hard to make a reality so they scrap and turn other geo like doll as non construct but have another copy if there is one geo construct maybe too much geo construct would lage the game so they put limit. So my idea of geo were like edward elric from full metal alchemist or earthbender iguess.

I dont really like what they did with her kit at all :/ shes literally just albedo but she does more damage in only geo construct teams and had 0 flexibility past geo construct teams compared to albedo who outperforms her as a very flexible fill slot on all non geo teams :/ which is a VERY rough spot for her to be in

  4. At this point there are so many characters and combinations in the game that I'm rolling for her simply because I like her as a character.
    What else am I going to roll for? Weapon banners? And in either case- why would I? I have 2-3 teams that can do the content I care about well enough already.

  5. Unless they buff Crystallize or make Shatter reactions CRIT like Quicken reactions do,

    Geo, Physical and Cryo elements will always remain underperforming in terms of combat.

  6. I just find it wild how they gave her this extremely arbitrary condition to maximize her kit and then made her first constellation just get rid of it. It just feels gross that she's pigeon holed into mono geo unless you pull her twice. I'm just going to keep saving for Arlecchino because I don't want to support these kinds of constellation requirements. Constellations should be smaller quality of life things imo. They should never feel necessary.

  7. She is Geo Yoimiya, not bad but there are better characters to pull for. also another huge difference is how we had Navia being an important character in the archon quest from beginning to end. while Chiori just came out of nowhere in a event. so people are not emotionally invested in her

  8. the only thing this community does is complain. geo sucks endgame sucks we want more rewards we want more outfits this characters poorly designed blah blah blah. she’s cute and fits in my mono geo itto team if you don’t like her skip her but what’s the point of complaining on youtube

  9. Off-topic:
    I wish genshin has a mechanic that will allow players who went into hiatus access to the ascension materials of new characters without going through a very long story quest to unlock the weekly boss. 🙁
    Like if I get Chiori now, i won't be able to level her to 80 unless i go through all the story quests I missed (I haven't even finsihed the fontaine archon quest yet).

  10. One thing I want to say about geo is that they can be pretty comfy. Chiori can get a ton of Def, and for her Def is basically just better than attack. There is an appeal to a unit that you don’t have to worry as much about. Not to mention that def does increase interruption resistance.

    Crystalize just further exaggerates that.

  11. If I were to redesign chiori's kit i'd have made her scale off of EM similar to nahida's kit. Making her work with crystalize.

    First would be her skill, i'd make it scale with atk and EM. Something like 100% ATk + 200% of her EM for the initial hit while every subsequent hit by the dolls would scale off of EM more than atk.

    I would also remove the ICD and increase the atk rate of the dolls to further hammer home the fact that she is meant to trigger crystallize.

    For her burst, i'd simply do the same but i'd add the effect that is similar to navia's skill. For every crystallize shard the party absorbed up to a limit of 10 she does more dmg on top of her burst's base dmg.

    It's like she is cutting through the crystallize shields to cause a backlash of elemental damage.

    For her ascension passives.

    Her first one would revolve around crystallize shards based off of the concept of "self-repairing concrete".

    Whenever a character picks up a crystallize shard while chiori is in the party, the entire party will be healed by 50+15% of chiori's EM per stack, up to 3 stacks with a max duration of 5 seconds per stack.

    For her last ascension passive, i'll make it so that everytime a party member picks up a crystallize shard, the entire party gets a 15% geo dmg bonus and 15% dmg bonus for the crystallized element.

I got a geo vision in the mail but that made me remember that there's that mummy character genshin has from old leaks of sumeru who's most likely Geo, she'll either be a Sandstorm character or the main thing I was thinking….a pyramid construct character, that made me think of Deshret's pyramid and how it's pulling in energy or something from the sky….

    SO MY MAIN POINT IS what if this future creates geo pyramid constructs(helping out with Chiori's small problem) that pull in the elements of enemies (including bosses) and makes crystallize reaction crystals for us and non geo characters can add to it (to help with making navia equally good with multi-element and mono-geo) and then the big brain play for mihoyo…..make her….a four star with constellations to have damage up for all characters that make constructs and crystallize….if this happens it would make geo rather relevant I feel

  13. I'm really hoping she'll get more external support because I absolutely fell in love with her character. I'm also a seamstress, so I've always had a hyperfocused eye on genshin's clothing designs, and seeing that mirrored in an actual character (let alone one that fulfills my dream of throwing rude clients out of a window) had me absolutely elated. She's part of the new generation of geo, she's a dual wielder who uses her swords like fabric scissors, she clawed her way to the top of her industry, how can you not love her?? I don't think I'll be able to pull for her this time around (rip being f2p and wanting neuvillette and arlecchino) but my hope is that when she comes back, it'll be after we get more units or updates that will make her the absolute beast on the battlefield that she's supposed to be. Bitchy seamstress nation rise up ✊️

  14. I wish they made Chiori fully scale with atk & def in all of her kits. While for her C1, seems like they intentionally make it that way so Navia mains will contemplate if they should go for her C1.

  15. Idk if I like the trend of off field geo damage supports being so split in their kit power focus. One of the biggest flaws with Albedo is that his burst doesn't do damage do its lack of defence scaling which makes it feel bad to use it for the em buff. The infusion plus the split scaling on her feels out of place and uneeded. Almost feels like they did it to justify making a sig weapon that wouldn't be perfect for Albedo too lol.

  16. It does feels like she was meant to be 4-star unit but dev was desperately want to milk something out of a patch with literally nothing to do and so they changed her to 5-star and rushed her kit. The first moment I saw her in 4.3 event, she have never strikes me as a 5-star unit.

  17. Mono-Geo lacks interesting team comp decisions, and I'd much rather see "Crystallize matters" become a recurring subtheme than "constructs matter".
    A support who "Swirls" whenever an ally picks up a Crystal. A support who batteries the team whenever a crystal shield is broken or replaced. Hell, just copy whatever Spiral Abyss buffs they used when Navia came out.
    We have Navia, Chiori, Albedo, Zhongli for consistent off-field application; we have Noelle, Itto, and Ning (and Sac/Fury/C6 Chiori) for on-field application; it's just that it doesn't matter bc Geo's reaction frequency is even less relevant than 2.8 Electro's (which at least had Taser).

  18. what about making albedo and gorou viable instead of powercreeping them? Don´t like your take on this one, I hate chiori and will still use albedo in my geo team, yet I wish they would simply make his construct undestructable and fix his ult having def scalings. I don´t like that characters become complete useless, also we have already so little male characters -.-

  19. Ehh… "Yunjin and Navia aren't geo characters in the conventional sense because they don't subscribe to mono geo" Mono geo wasn't a thing until Itto was released alongside Gorou. Before then, the main damage dealer in Geo were Ningguang and Noelle, with the former being an attack scaling geo dps and latter being a defense scaling geo dps. Defense scaling geo dps generally work best in mono geo teams due to Gorou while attack scaling geo dps was much more flexible in team building. Navia is a standard geo character who follows the Ningguang architecture where she does damage through sheer multiplier scaling than using reactions.

  20. I have a C6 Itto. You can't pry Gorou, Benny, and Thoma out of my hands to make geo nicer. Geo may not have a more dedicated support than Gorou, but since Itto loves to convert into attack, he got Benny as his boy too.

She powercreeped a unit that is rarely used and I find her very underwelming in the Test Chamber with doing 15k every 3.6 sec with one Doll while Kuki can do with one seed every 1.5 sec 30k and she heals. Chiori also doesn't have buffs like the 120 em from albedo. Maybe I'm missing something but as a Itto owner I rather play xiangling and Bennett or get zhongli at some point. I even go so far to say deyha is more useful

  22. Geo is such an premium element (Itto, c6 gorou, Zhongli and/or other 5star geo character) where you get nothing out of it since it struggles against shields other other things.
