It’s a big what if… If Resin didn’t exist the Genshin Impact as we know it would have to change entirely. The game at present is built with resin in mind, drops rates, domain length and all and removing it wouldn’t work very well without changing what it’s built upon.

  1. I would very much enjoy a larger capacity for both regular resin and condensed resin. Not infinite because that's a bit ridiculous but at least a few days to a week's worth.

  2. I don't want more resin per day I want to have an excess resin bank like idk you can stock 40/60 resins once you're capped so that I don't feel like I'm missing something… the fact that 160 doesn't make 24h also irritates me having to at some point log twice a day.
    I've been less stressing over it lately compared to when I've started but it still has bad feeling to it.

  3. Ngl if they atleast let us keep like 20 condensed resin it would make the game even more casual and convenient. And also removing resin for the weekly bosses seems more reasonably if u think abt it. And making resin cost everything is kinda stingy like giving more exp and mora from the defeating mobs. And when ppl say "try other characters" but it needs lots of resources such as books and mora. But when the mobs drop more resources it would also encourage players to build more characters. Other than that I don't have much prob with the resin. A really good video, filled with positive vibes and made me feel at a ease😁

    And that's why I want artifacts to change. I can't build hardly any of my characters. I have like 23 and can only build 7-8 at a time to be optimal.

    If I ever stray from the 7-8, then the next abyss will kill me.

    If I try to build a new character I then have to farm artifacts specifically for that character that nobody else really wants.

    Builds are far too specific for such a system as this when genshin has 40+ characters now.

    Not including the fact you can't get artifacts if you don't have the talent books, XP tomes, or mora to even level them up in the first place.

    It's obscene.

  5. Honestly, for me, the resin issue would be solved by just increasing the condensed resin cap. If I could store 20, 50, or infinite condensed resin, I wouldn’t have to worry about spending it all every. single. day. I just don’t have the energy to farm tedious domains for nothing but fodder.
    If they just increase the resin cap, there would be less reason to log in every day. Daily commissions do exist, but resin capping is still a large part of the reason I play every day. And since there’s no drawback to just not spending resin that day, why bother?
    With an increased condensed resin cap but the same original resin cap, players would still have to log in daily to condense resin. Even with no condensed cap at all, every once in a while you’ll need to go out and get crystalflies, which makes it harder to just hoard resin forever. And the material cost of condensing resin encourages the player to still spend it every day. Farming crystalflies can be annoying, I’d rather spend my resin today and not have to farm them to condense more.
    And as for an increased refresh rate, I would hate that. Some people have a life. An increased refresh rate + an increased original resin cap would only benifit me when I’m 5 short of 20.
    But with more resin comes more spending resin. Unlike you, I don’t like grinding all that much. And I hate certain domains. Some domains are fine, like the liyue talent domain, but the mondstadt talent and weapon material domains make me shun those weapons and characters. I’m sorry lisa, but venti needs those and I don’t want to farm them more..
    My point is, more resin is not a good thing for me. I like the current amount. I don’t like how frequently I have to spend it. A higher condensed resin cap seems like the best solution to me.

  6. Resin is a good system for this type of game. BEFORE you all yell at me, hear me out…
    Genshin is free to play, so is a game called Warframe. Warframe have played so much, I have most of everything, I know the meta's, I know how to basically break the game build wise, I know which frame I want next and which frame I could care less for. The biggest downside is that Warframe has abysmal drop rates for pretty much everything that is super desirable in the game, it's to the point where stuff is at a 5% drop rate and you have to grind hours upon hours to get it. Warframe has a system of currency called 'Platinum' which is it's free to play currency (a bit like Primogems but you can buy like everything with Platinum, even pieces for weapons to build). Everything in the game however, you can get by being free to play, you can even make Platinum by trading rare items to people, the system to do that is literally built in to the game's trading system.

    Genshin on the other hand, has Resin. Resin is meant to be there so you don't burn out on the game and want to keep playing. Get your F2P Primo's and all that. However, I do think it seriously should be higher, at least 250-300 count of Resin. Waiting 20 hours for it to fill up fully again is kind of ridiculous too. 160 Resin can only get you so much, and you can't get Boss items in the Stardust Exchange. Bosses costing 40 Resin to get rewards is a bit insane considering how many Boss items I need to fully rank up a character. Then there's the Artifact drop rate. Sometimes they drop, sometimes they don't. And even when they do, it can be a shit version of that Artifact, leading to endless farming trying to get a decent roll on the Artifact you want. That combined with needing to do Leylines to get Hero's Wit because of the EXP cost to level characters and the bosses costing 40 Resin, is just reason to at least increase the cap. Mihoyo don't want you to burn out on the game, and neither do I. But something needs to be done with the Resin being capped at 160, it makes for a very painful farming experience for players like me that do stuff like this in a game that's literally MEANT for it to be done.

  7. for me, resin is a great way to prevent burnout like what was talked about in the video, but its a double edged sword because when i want to farm artifacts and see what i can get, i cant. the whole thing is that i want to play the game more because i do like grinding games. i’d like to both increase the amount of resin we can store at a time, and change how much you can do with it. let me hold ten condensed resin at once, and say, halve the amount of resin it costs to do something. this still prevents burnout since its time-gated, but being able to store more resin makes it less harsh. ive considered getting the fancy battlepass to get the extra resin because i just want to play the game. making fragile resin easier to obtain would also be nice.
    decreasing the amount of resin needed to do something also makes characters cheaper to build, which is becoming increasingly more important as we get more weekly bosses, talent materials, and weapon ascension things. and the numbers for how much things cost total doesnt have to change either.

    i like grinding, but i dont know a single person that likes when they cant finish upgrading an artifact because suddenly they have 37500 mora to their name, and cant do things because now they have to grind mora for a few days to be comfy again.

    im fine with big numbers, like 700k to crown a talent, or however many million to raise a character to level 90, since theyre rather arbitrary, but if we make it easier to get there, it doesnt take away from resource management which is integral to the game at this point, it just makes it less of a chore.

  8. This is how I would make the Resin system:

    100 Resin Max
    0: 1/2 Base Rewards
    10: Base Domain Rewards
    Condensed: Boost chance of an extra 5-Star Artifact

    Basically, just use Resin to increase rewards, but when you run out of Resin, progression speed is halved.
    Of course, maybe have Weekly Bosses still cost 30 resin and cannot be farmed without it.

  9. the game not only it will work without it, it be better cause even without resin they are still multiples layers of rng on artifacts and any other content that is resin gated just need a longer cd i take 1 hour of cd of every boss than a resin cap and tbh the fact that weekly bosses are behind a resin wall is borderline stupid or the fact that ANY LVL of a dungeon cost the same amount of resin regardless of dificulty is bs to

  10. If every domain gave better rewards we wouldn't need more resin. No one wants to spend 1 whole month of grinding only to improve your character's damage by 0%, what an awful system. Looking at you artifact domains.

  11. Resin doesn't need to be removed but rather be improved and executed better
    Artifact system aside , one of the things I dislike about resin is how much little gameplay it gives , especially later on

    You go into a domain spam 2 bursts and boom everything is dead and you can't get to play for more rewards anymore

    Players should be challenged more and given more rewards that equal to how strong they are
    In a lot of games the rewards go up with the players's strength but in Genshin , it only goes up to AR 45 and I think that's a problem.

    A Rouge Like Domain where you can spend a hefty amount of resin (like 80) and try to get as much as rewards you can get with increasing mob strength would be cool

    (It could also incentive Co Op more)

I don't know why people say "I haven't seen anyone offer any solutions" umm I've seen plenty of people offer tons of solutions on what they would like outside of "hurry durr I just want them to remove it all". On Reddit and YouTube comments, it's not hard to find if you actually want to do research and look for them. Nobody who has actually played the game extensively for over a year now thinks the resin system should be completely removed.

    Even all of those reviews at the beginning were from 2020 around the time when the game first launched. I'm AR 59 btw and don't even think it should be removed but they should give us a bit more (I mean for god's sake we can't even fully craft 5 condensed resin with 160) to maybe like 280 and remove it completely off of weekly bosses (you can only go once a week anyway).

I just need a faster refresh rate because the fact that it takes almost one entire day for only 4 domain runs that very probably wont give me what I need at all is very frustrating, it also doesn’t go well with my scheduled which is very tight because of school, also like the fact that 160 resin is absolutely lost if you don’t play one day ://

  14. IMO I think the resin cap should just be 200 max. That's a sweet spot. 1 extra boss fight or 2 extra domain runs or 5 full condensed resin from an empty condensed resin pocket…..Plus two more daily commissions each will net you 10 primos each. So daily we received 80 primo gems, which means every two days we can do one summon. (Just had to add that in there)

  15. I don’t think resin is bad, but perhaps adding 40 to the current amount and doubling the refresh rate could be beneficial to the player base. It would keep us playing for longer each day. I don’t think this would cause too much burnout since there is still a storyline. That’s just my opinion.

  16. I'd prefer if all artifacts are available via the strongbox. Artifacts are the worst part about getting a new character especially one that I specifically pulled for. I will not enjoy my new character when the unit hits like a wet noodle or does not support anywhere close to potential due to rubbish artifacts. If we had all artifacts available via the strongbox, we can grind artifact domains and know the rubbish artifacts can be used to try again for the artifacts we are looking for.

  17. while I do like the Resin makin the game more slow paced to make sure building characters is slower to keep us playing, I am going to say we don't have enough, we need more Condensed Resin, a faster Resin recharge time, taking off even 1 minute will make all the difference, and better Artifact RNG, at least make it weher if we fuse a artifact with another, the main one will namely effect it to better control it, even if it's limited to needing 1 flat and 3 % to work, that's enough if we can control what goes into it
