  1. Doing 300k CAs with c0 ganyu and not seeing anyone doing that much damage even at c2.
I'm still waiting for the day I'll see a yellow flash with a dehya on my account to finally finish her team, bcz doing 1.1mi dmg per rotation with my c0 ganyu ain't enough for me

  2. Characters that have to sit still and charge attack like her should do way more damage. My ganyu has been completely converted into an energy recharge build. I just use her to deal AoE off field cryo :I

  3. Ganyu is one of my favourite character and I will continue to play as Ganyu main because I love her playstyle and it just feels like home and as the best for me… I am also playing other teams/characters and I definitely like fighting with them too but nothing feels as good and comfortable for me as playing with Ganyu 🙂

  4. When I started playing, everyone and their mother used Ganyu. It was boring.
Now everyone uses different teams with different characters and different builds etc. The variety we have now is so refreshing. Meta is now pretty much a suggestion which I love bcs I never liked the toxic meta environments. (Of course those players still exist specially the "National" enjoyers but the chances of someone trashing your main is way lower now. Heck they don't even roast you for using Dehya with Neuvilette (me).
The community has grown to accept all these different playstyles and I love it.
Cant say the same about the shipping community tho, that side of Genshin has gotten worse and worse the more time passes to the point where some guy talks about a character they think it's attractive and they go "bRo tHaT chArACtEr is LitTeraLy gAy sToP iT yOuRE dIsrEspEcTInG ITs SeXuAl oRieNTaTiOn" like bro bro bro, how about you SHUT UP and stop being so cringe, toxic, and delusional. Smh.

I got carried away in the end there haha. Anyway yeah I think Ganyu's "golden era" ended in a good way (unlike my poor man Diluc) so we shouldn't be sad that it ended, we should be happy that it happened.

  5. I'm glad Ganyu is an alternative to Ayaka simply because I really hate Ayaka's gameplay, with all the charge attack cancelling she needs to do and the special sprint, playing her feels like I'm about to get carpal tunnel.
Meanwhile Ganyu can just click the head and deal pretty much as much damage as well as providing off field utility with her Celestial Shower being an AoE Cryo Damage buff and lasting a real long time for the price of measly 60 energy, doing really good damage and having 100% uptime.
It's not a bad end for Ganyu by any stretch, she is still a very good unit and we're really far from the game reaching a difficulty level where she would start struggling when others wouldn't.
The only downside of Ganyu is that a lot of characters had been released that do not synergize with her playstyle, solely for the reason other characters couldn't keep up with her strength, mainly Yelan (there was absolutely no reason not to add an additional condition of Exquisite Throw triggering upon Charged Attacks as well) and p'much the entirety of Dendro.
And despite all of that she's still a really good pick especially with the advent of Fontaine and the new Abyss favoring freeze again.
She may not be in the spotlight but she's not retired or part of the audience and far from it.

  6. I wouldn't say the content is moving away from her, freeze sure was nice but it was never the only avenue for her.
The content is only moving away from her freeze variant, melt Ganyu is more powerful then she ever was, arguably the biggest change for her was the opening of synergies when it comes to getting out of the established freeze rut with now melt burning being a viable option that deals quite nice damage universally.
But what do i know i have no idea if 30-50k damage is good nowadays

  7. Not counting Aloy, the roster of 74 playable characters today gives us 1,123,611 possible team comps (with the non-possible 302,814 multiple-traveler-comps already subtracted).
So, no surprise that single characters are doomed to be replaced/abandoned sooner or later, especially when they are older and tested enough.

  8. well, i've used her quite late, so i'm still and probably will still enjoy using her, especially in the overworld. still my favorite. riding the wind still rocks btw.

  9. Ganyu is still really good.
She can't compete with someone like Neuvillette, but he's an absolute beast, and top dps for a reason.
I'd still rank her in the top 5 damage dealers.

What gave Ganyu a lot of longevity is that she has some great Constellations. Her C6 is one of the best in the game, and eliminates her one major weakness. I rarely fully charge her bow attacks, because she can instant cast them after her skill. Along with very powerful aoe, I've used Ganyu in every single Spiral Abyss since she was released.

Also her synergy with Shenhe is often overlooked. The two of them are amazing for farming hydro mobs in the overworld.

  10. ganyu is my favorite comfor character since i first play the game, and saved for her

i usually aim for archon but im sick of having diluc and considering ganyu one shot is so easy i started saving until i got her and the signature weap in rerun, and i still with ganyu to this day, just ganyu and zhongli and the rest for maximizing relationship lol

  11. Overworld wise, I found that Neuv has easily replaced her as a solo on field exploration unit. She's still good for off field cryo application since it can be 100% uptime with enough ER. I think having her as support in Furina team helps to give her another role.

  12. It doesn't need to be negative. She didn't even drop off. I just used her to clear entire 12 abyss comfortably. In fact, she's my best unit for killing that stupid horse.

She also still has room to improve in the future. Such as from a Charge attack support, someone like Yun Jin. Yes this would benefit Lyney and Neuvillete and maybe Hu Tao, and that's okay too. She could also benefit from long-range consistent pyro application.

  13. My first ever 5-star limited character (got her in her first banner) and I still enjoy playing her! She's so good at speed running commissions, bounties and certain bosses. I'm a mobile player too btw maybe because I love her too much that I don't care with the bothersome aiming shots

  14. "ganyu's power went from an exception to a rule" sums it all up. before her power level was something players admired and thought was unique and incomparable. now we have a lot of units whose default potential is the same as hers if not better

  15. A Jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one. It fits Ganyu well. She is still a good raw damage dealer who can reach her full potential by using characters that are not in much use such as Bennett, Kazuha, etc due to the advent of dendro. Even in the Abyss she is still a good option for timely clear but it will require some time to get used to patterns and timings especially 2nd stage charged shot.
Ayaka is bit different bcoz she is mainly good in freeze teams and not much in rev-melt. So she require a good hydro application which can be met by kokomi and xingqui with rain swords as well as the defense swords.
But it's also true that she has fallen from the stage and can only be considered a 2nd or even 3rd option when considering teams for Abyss which is the main "endgame" activity. Besides Abyss it doesn't really matter who u are using. Except maybe Balladeer which requires a bow user but she is replaceable in that boss fight too. So just use who u invested in most. For me it was a lot of artifact strongboxes to get good wanderer's piece for her and getting an extra copy of Aqua Simulacra which made sure that she is my choice of character for Abyss and open-world activities.

  16. I have a hard time not using Ganyu. She is like my lazy pick because you don't need to aim, I can pop her burst and just sit there, with shield or her skill you can take care of lots of things before you even get to the location….. 😂 if it's daily use or story fights. I will lazy pick her because she feels so good on all content. Note: default team with Yae Miko, Zhongli, Kokomi. (LAZY)

  17. I think Ganyu became better when Furina came out. She is stronger with Furina than with Shenhe, and Furina is also more versatile and useful character overall. Ayaka+Furina+Charlotte is probably as strong as Ayaka+Kokomi+Shenhe because it's easier for Ayaka to fully utilize Shenhe's elemental skill. So Ganyu slightly caught up with Ayaka

  18. I think Ganyu is one character short of being broken again. Off-fielders have been pretty consistent about not interacting with her charged attacks, or have been inconvenient about it. For instance, Yelan, Yunjin and Thoma don't work with charged attacks, Yoimiya Q and Dehya E are too slow and cumbersome to use for melt, and Nahida not reacting with cryo means Ganyu needs a character just to react with in order to trigger Nahida E. Even that new BP bow Scion Of The Blazing Sun only buff its own wielder's charged attacks, so you can't just debuff an enemy and then swap to an Amos Ganyu for max DMG.

I've been a Ganyu main ever since she came out and I've been keeping an eye out for any new characters that would improve her DPS. Furina's probably the closest she's got from getting a huge buff, but I've been finding Ganyu a bit too fragile when her HP'S being eaten away by her.
