  1. Firstly this is PGR, a very different king of game compared to genshin impact that focuses more on exploration and open world.

There's honkai impact for that, and i like PGR combat but honkai >> PGR in every single way imo, except maybe PGR gacha is more generous, but it's now not available in my country so can't play.

  2. PGR is good, but I think there's a reason the game doesn't grow as much. The game is very focused on its hardcore/veteran audience which can really suck for new players as there isn't really a good way to "catch up". There's not really an efficient way to reroll, and many of the more recent characters rely on signature weapons (weapon banner). Similar to Tower, the global version updates faster giving players less time to save (PGR should let you get every new character though). Genshin also has some of the least powercreep compared to similar games I've played. PGR is slowly going to rework old characters eventually to make them more relevant. Outside of a wishing target event, you have to risk a 30% chance of getting a unit you don't want when trying to get an older S-rank. I wish more people would play, but they'd probably have to make it more feasible for new players to become hardcore players. The competitive aspect of the game may also lend itself to a "rich get richer" situation. If you're stupid and love to waste your time like me though, you can definitely get somewhere. At least try the PC port when that releases.

  3. I still haven't seen a single other gacha game that even comes remotely close to the quality of PGR in terms of gameplay, this is why there's so much hype behind WW. Genshin is nothing compared.

  4. If you guys were hyped up for crimson weaver. Wait till you see the power of the burst dps king of PGR, Lee hyperreal (Firegod, Godfire, Overburn, Huozi)

Crimson weaver will be available in global server on january 2024.

  5. Pgr is a prime example of what happens when you only focus on your hard-core crowd. I mean sure you will keep reputation in good standing and those players will continue to support you, but it won't bring in the whales. Which alot of gachas need casual players for to make more money. Its nice to play a gacha where the devs aren't stingy and actually care but in the end they have to make money to continue development too. Genshin continues to strike oil because of its simplicity and appeal to casuals. While these games follow Genshin design and add major qol they still miss the mark as to why Genshin is so successful

  6. The main reason why this isn't genshin? Game design. It would look cool and all, but these flashy attacks will take away from the main aim of both the game ( the scenery and exploration) and the combat (team building and abusing reactions).

  7. I think y’all are missing the point
Not every attacks are parriable, only certain attacks require parry. It’s not gonna trivialize healer and tank. It’s not gonna be Sekiro where 80% of attacks are parriable

  8. The parry mechanic is already in PGR global, but only available to that enemy and Lamia. They've also added the boss rush for those who wants malding experience in Global PGR 🤣 soon, most of the bosses they'll release will have the parry mechanic. It's much more fun now

  9. Do note that perfect parry no damage run on this boss actually takes PRACTICE and TIME, you cant just be a super casual zhongli abuser in genshin and hope you hop into pgr and instantly plays like this, no. It wont happen. From difficulty perspective, although you are not mandatory to do the hard challenges, those hard content in pgr are actually hard that make 1.6 Vagabond Sword event look like a clown college. Not to mention that this boss is one of the easiest pgr boss if you already remember the attack timing and parry the attacks, but parrying it with style is the hard part

  10. Parry is the reason that I want to be a beidou main with sacrificial greatsword r5 after ar60 and have the best gameplay. Maybe I'll even get all counter heroes built

  11. Do you guys see how that boss attacks relentlessly compare that to floor 12 boss which has one of the worst mechanics I have seen in a boss 2 mins underground 1 min in the air…….I have neva been more turned off from playing floor 12 like seriously I did not even bother trying…..kuro can you please give mihoyo tips on how not to screw up a boss.

  12. The best part about this game is that this boss isn't even the endgame. It's a story boss. The endgame is multiple things ranging from weekly activities like Warzone and Phantom Pain Cage, to limited-time reoccurring events like Norman War and Babel Tower. We do crazy stuff like fighting waves of adds and bosses like this guy with MULTIPLE TEAMS, not just two like in Spiral abyss, we actively NEED to be able to make as many teams as we can get to be able to go after all of the rewards on the harder content. Yeah, it's tedious and intimidating to go for so many characters, but it also makes you feel so good to know that all of those characters that you've accumulated over a long period of time AREN'T a waste of summon resources when stronger characters come out to power-creep the characters you've already got. Because over time, the end-game content REQUIRES you to have MORE full teams built to get even better rewards, so the power-crept ones still have a purpose and use over time.

  13. I feel PGR popularity phase is almost upon us. These new WW reveals has brought this game so much attention in a few weeks than an entire last year combined. I'm so happy to see people appreciate this game.

  14. I totally agree with you. I was playing since launch until the alpha banner, grinding was incredibly repetitive (no batch runs back then) and I didn't had enough pulls saved up for the unit after alpha (biance alternate form, I think) so I just quit. But I heard that they're finally making a pc client, definitely gonna give the game a try again once it's out.

  15. Guess we can thank IGN's gameplay footage of Wuthering Waves now that PGR is coming up on it's rise of popularity.

Almost the same as Honkai's rise of popularity thanks to Genshin.

Only this time, and of course I'm not even surprised, Alpha takes center stage.
