  1. I recently started playing Genshin again after a 3 year long break! Back in 2021 I played a TON just before and in the beginning of Inazuma. Trying to 100% every area, build characters and save primos just put me in a burn out. But now that I'm back, trying to 100% everything has been so much fun! I don't feel like I've missed out on so much that I can't keep up, but I also currently have a lot of free time, so for a casual player I can understand it being too much. I'm just sad I soon won't have much to do in terms of exploration… but then I can focus more on building my characters and completing difficult achievements.

  4. I'm f2p so I don't touch abyss or theater because it only exists for whales who C6/R5 everything. It's not skill based content. I'm one of those people who prefer to play with characters they like rather than meta and that's where I have a problem with genshit. Mihoyo has the worst gacha systems in the industry. Getting the characters I like is the most important thing to keep me playing. I was a day 1 player who quickly quit because of how fast they nerfed rerolling. I wanted Mona and pulled on std until I got a 5* and it was Diluc. Immediately quit. Came back for the 5* selector and Natlan characters. Immediately pulls Diluc on Mualani banner. Almost quit right then and there. Tried again the next day and got Mualani after a few more tries. Started saving for Xilonen. Very hyped for Xilonen more than any character in any game in the last 3 years. Had to go all the way to 80 draws and pulled Diluc again so I'm probably gonna quit again. Capturing radiance is a lie. It doesn't work. Fraudulent gacha. I have no resources left to pull and have no motivation to continue again. Genshit is still the same game it was 4 years ago. One standard banner 5* selector a year will not retain me as a player

  5. this is a great video. i am playing since launch, but i have taken multiple breaks at times for more than a year, i just came back at the end of 5.0 in the last hours to finish the story to get the 500 primos and have now at least for the third time completed the stellar reunion, even though i believe it might be even more times. my characters are terribly build, i have no ressources, but i have a lot of fun right now with the game and this is the most important thing 🙂

  6. It is very true that progression in genshin is different for each player. I enjoy everything that the game offers from the story to the exploration to the character building and even combat. I can easily understand how players can become burnt out, especially if you are a late game player like me who has basically done it all. The one thing that made me stay was character building. TCG, Spiral Abyss and the new Imaginarium Theater are all very rewarding in their own way. I can work towards obtaining the new echos and emotes in the Theater and the Abyss always presents a new challenge that tests my knowledge. I am always excited to see improvements in future content, especially changes like the new co-op event! I’m literally begging for more co-op styled end game!!

  7. What a unique timing. As someone who has been playing genshin for almost 3.3 years i can say i have never felt this burned out like ever. This version is so blank with no content but i still force myself to log in as i need to save and collect primos for mavuika and alre. I have never been this frustrated with this game as i have now lmao.

  8. Haven’t watched the video yet so maybe this is covered, but:

I also think it important to have friends in genshin sometimes – if exploration is really hard for you bc you wanna but you get bored – MAYBE it might be worth trying to get a friend who explores with you – it feels less repetitive and allows you to be silly and fun with it. Personally – i have one or two friends that I play the game with but we don’t take it very seriously. We walk around – we make jokes – we laugh at one another embarrassing themself – we gossip and we complain about a lack of primos.

The gameplay is typically slow so yes it might take 4x as long for me to explore an area however I feel much better after exploration when I play with friends. It is definitely a lighter-hearted experience and definitely makes the whole process easier.

  11. One thing that helped me overcome burnout is to not care about event/minigames. Sure they give a lot of primos but if I don't care about the event, I won't force myself to. If it's not voiced, I'm out

  12. It's completely okay to take a break, it's just a GAME. FOMO is there, but in the end, the rewards will always come. It's just a little video game, something that is meant to relax you. Remember to take care of yourself first. <3

  13. One of my personal ways to avoid burnout when I want to play but don't want to push myself to do tedious things is to just wander, gathering materials, and defeating enemies when I encounter them. All while not checking the map. It's a lot of fun 😊

  14. I took a break in Chlorinde patch when Wuwa comes out. I played Wuwa for a while, but I'm already bored by now their world building feels lacking compared to genshin. And then I found out that my new co-worker unexpectedly plays genshin too. So, I quit Wuwa and come back. It's like a fresh air with Natlan. I like the wat that I don't have to do commision daily quest anymore, GOD IT WAS TORTURE, so I could focus on just spending resin and exploration while being efficient. Currently building Xilonen and saving for Mavuika.😁
