Plz make sure you run through her Jade Screen 😭 it's a free 12% bonus to Geo dmg. Kept seeing you drop it then atk or just smash it over an enemies head 😭
I use Ninguang as a main DPS with Venti's Burst, its insane because they are pulled at the same spot and its a TONS of damage
Beidou Ning fichl+ zhongdong is also a good team geobro. I run that team sometimes when Im too lazy to dodge xD
She can be fun a lot of the off meta stuff still is but because hoyoverse is really starting to buff the abyss in weird ways Its kind of started taking the fun out of using whoever you want. At least for floor 12 it seems they've turned it more into a think tank difficulty with a lot of hp removing the whole take whoever you want part away unless you invest pretty heavy into off meta characters because you like them.
I love this video because we just feel along for the ride. It’s so fun just to see the thought process and see what works and what doesn’t.

By making it too easy
Lady Nigguang is rolling psudo heals with the Prototype Amber on my team. You don't do all the damage, but team heals and bursts on cooldown ain't bad.
OMG AS A NINGGUANG MAIN IS PHYSICALLY HURTS ME WHEN PPL DONT PASS THRU THE JADE SCREEN 😭
R5 Solar Pearl fits her aesthetic so well, fashion is meta.
Switched to Lost Prayers though coz 10% move-speed got me hooked. Also fits her Orchid’s Evening Gown fashion-wise.
If I could list 3 things I learned playing Ning since almost the start of Genshin:
1) The importance of walk-cancelling her NAs
2) Figuring out enemy hitboxes so you can still cast your Jade Screen & hurt them with the edge without it breaking
3) Watching enemies & figuring out the right time & distance to use her Burst & her CA so the rocks don’t fly off into oblivion or crash into obstacles instead of the target
You right though, it’s so Geo. Just pummel them into submission with the color yellow.
Instead of Raiden, could also try Yelan for the DMG bonus or Xingqiu for the resistance to interruption (the main thing ZL bring besides the added mini-shred & resonance).
yunjin buff works on instances of damage, so if you're hitting in aoe, the buffs are consumed per dmg number, not per normal attack
Josh you gotta run through ningguangs wall first for extra geo damage bonus…
I use solar pearl and she slaps!
She causes crystalize so often that I see no need to run a shield with her since it gives interrupt resistance when you grab them. So yeah her and Yun Jin are indeed a good pair.
it makes me so happy to see people use ningguang like this, she's such an underrated character… I wish i had a crit stat 5 star catalyst for her–I feel like Tulaytullah's Remembrance would be absolutely cracked for this build.
Ning with Kaguras Verity is some chefs kiss type of shit man. Feels so good to just rek stuff with the OG Geo DPS
Noelle then Ningguang? Damn. What's funny is that I also am currently building Ningguang.
I tried her in the abyss with triple geo and Bennett (first half to deplete Cryo lecter shield), then hyperbloom on the second half. Only managed to 35 star it. I lack time on that annoying flying green serpent thing. It has so many invulnerability frames yet so few vulnerability frames. What a bad boss design imo. At least the ruin serpent and wolf lord has long vulnerability frame.
Being said, she hits like a truck, specially in single target. It feels like having a turret since she basically never runs out of burst. She clears the abyss with ease, problem is, geo sucks with breaking shields.
Dont forget to walk through her screen periodically so you get the dmg bonus from it.
I still play DPS Ning. She slaps. She just needs a lot of help. She suffers from low base attack so I generally play her w Yunjin Bennett flex pick. I hope we get a charged attack buffer for her
You should try Ningguang and Yun Jin pair with 2 pyro caracter (Bennett+x), theLost Prayer to the Sacred Winds and Echoes of an Offering. You will lose dmg on the NA/CA cycle but you will get 2 ult in your rotation.
Classical rotation could be Skill>Burst Cycle 3NA/1CA for 12s then Skill>Burst then switch to the other caracter. This is the best way to play her main dps at least for me.
PS : The X pyro caracter could be Amber to taunt and group ennemy.

Not entering the jade screen makes my skin crawl
Something a lotta ppl don't seem to understand is that while her normal attack dmg looks low, that's just one attack that can potentially string infinitely because she doesn't have the animation lag after an attack string.. because she doesn't have an attack string. Its just one attack. And the little lag there is can be circumvented using walk cancelling. Also, that 47.6% should be 47.6%x2 because she throws two jades every attack so its actually 95.2% every hit. Or 100.8% at talent level 10.
So if we take the 2nd highest scaling catalyst user's attack string at talent level 10 and compared that to ningguang's attack "string",
Heizou :
HIT 1 HIT 2 HIT 3 HIT 4 HIT5 TOTAL
67.46% 66.33% 91.91% 90.47% 110.61% 426.77%
Ningguang:

We can clearly see that Ningguang's Normal Attacks aren't as weak as people make them out to be.

For your stats your damage wasn't very good
You just don't have the practice to play for her. I played her for more than half a year, I know good rotations, she can do huge damage
Ninguang's auto attacks are a lot faster, if you run forward while spamming the auto attack button
Prototype amber 📈 healer and shielder for co-op
I think Solar pearl and Tuyaltullahs remembrance are her bis
Ningguang is still one of my favorite characters to play.Story wise and kit wise she’s just so strong. She’s carried me to late game and I still use her often. She saved my sanity for all the annoying bosses early game especially against all the Oceanid types, wolf lord and any and annoying flying characters. She’s a beast at single target but still great at multiple enemies. Her c6 is just nuts. A living rocket launcher
Btw holding forward while doing normals is much better to play. Also walking through your screen to additional damage is important

I've been building Ningguang since she's my first ever C6 4-star and I love her, but I have almost no supports for her at the moment outside of Yelan and a TTDS Barbara. I do have a C1 Yunjin though and she looks like a fun support for Ningguang 😀 Maybe I get a Diona for the shielding too…
As a side note about Zhongli, the Geo resonance does require a shield and no one else is really providing a shield in the team outside of the Crystallize reaction, so you do actually need Zhongli there to have a good time.
I used to haaaaaaaaaaaate ninnguang until recently. I always pair her with gorou and noelle so she can do more dmg with a shield due to geo resonance and crunch. Right now shes my burst spammer with lost prayer since heizou uses the pearl r5 but i might change that soon
Reminder that Ninggs scaling is inaccurate. The multiplier only counts for 1 star jade and since she has 2 it effectively gets doubled
