Hey there! It’s that time again. Plans for the upcoming banners in Genshin Impact have undergone some changes. I want to give you a heads up so you can plan your pulls wisely with the limited primogems we’ll be getting. Hopefully, you’ll have enough primogems to wish for your favorite characters. We’ll cover from Version 4.7 to Version 5.0. You might be wondering how I’ll speculate on the characters releasing in Version 5.0. It’s actually quite easy to guess. We’ll follow Fontaine’s pattern and consider some recent leaks. But before diving in, here’s a calendar to help you track when each patch is dropping, just in case you’re curious. Keep in mind, dates might shift depending on Mihoyo’s decisions to delay or shorten a patch.

Starting with Version 4.7, many of you might have already come across the leaks regarding the character banners for this version. But just in case you haven’t, let me fill you in. In Version 4.7, the first phase banners will feature Clorinde and Alhaitham, while the second phase banners will showcase Furina and Sigewinne. Initially, we expected Wriothesley and Shenhe to be featured in this patch, but they’ve been pushed back to Version 4.8. Personally, I’m quite fond of Clorinde’s gameplay; I even chose her over Arlecchino. It’s great to see her in the first phase. If you’re interested in seeing gameplay of Clorinde and Sigewinne, you can find plenty of videos online. So, to sum it up: Clorinde, Alhaitham, Sigewinne, and Furina will be the characters to look out for in Version 4.7, and it’s confirmed by trusted and reliable leakers.

In the final patch of the Fontaine region, Version 4.8, we can anticipate the long-awaited rerun of Nilou, our beloved dancer girl. She hasn’t had a banner since Sumeru in Version 3.6, and even Alhaitham has had his third rerun by now, so it’s high time for her return. Alongside Nilou, we’ll also see the rerun of Navia. Mihoyo typically reruns characters before their region patches come to an end, hence this move. Additionally, we’ll witness the return of Shenhe in this version. Shenhe won’t join the chronicle banner since she hasn’t had more than three event wish banners. Given Shenhe’s rerun, we can expect a Cryo DPS alongside her. Previously, Shenhe first appeared in a banner with Ganyu, and in her most recent banner, she was paired with Ayaka. Both Ganyu and Ayaka are Cryo DPS units. So, in Version 4.8, Shenhe will indeed rerun with a Cryo DPS, and this time, it’s none other than Wriothesley himself. This confirms Wriothesley’s rerun in Version 4.8.

Now, onto Version 5.0. This marks the beginning of the Natlan patches. Natlan is one of the seven regions in the game, and after our adventures in Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, and Fontaine, Natlan will be our next destination. The new character introduced in this version will be Iansan. Iansan appears in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview Act V, Natlan. She’s described as a small girl with dark skin, long ears, light green eyes, and long gray hair pulled back into pigtails. You might be wondering how I knew that Iansan will receive a banner in this version. It’s quite simple: Lyney was first teased in the same video as Iansan, and he was the first character to get a banner in the Fontaine patches. The same logic applies to Iansan; she will be the first natlan character to get a banner in this version. Uncle K has also claimed that there will be 2 5-star limited characters in Version 5.0, a catalyst and a claymore. I’m not sure about Uncle K’s reliability, so we can’t really trust them for now. But if it’s true, Iansan could be the claymore character, and the catalyst character could be Emilie. Since Emilie was pushed to Natlan patches, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the one to have a banner in this version.
Zhongli and cloud retainer will both have their banners in this version as well. We already know that Zhongli always reruns in versions ending with zeros. So, that’s all for now.
