  2. We need sidegrades for characters. NO character released should be worse than Noel in terms of damage or support. If a new character comes out with lower damage then Noel then their healing/support ability should be above what Noel provides. Alternatively, if a new character has low support/elemental application, then their damage should be above what Noel can provide.
I've been playing Candace and Dori for a while, and even though they're not fully built yet, the performance of these two are so terrible I don't even want to finish getting them to friendship 10.

  3. To be honest, just seems to me like people just want to slot Kazuha or Raiden into anything, and at this point, I’m ecstatic for anything that takes emphasis away from those two.

  4. Hoyoverse 10 years from now:
Here is dainsleif. He is now playable. But only with those 3 certain characters and this specific artifact set and don't you dare to try another weapon except this 5* weapon or else the enemys will deal 500% more dmg to you. Have fun

  5. Meh I find her very refreshing. I’ve never joined a multiplayer team and have the entire team shift due to my character before. It was really cool.

Having some modifications to reactions like Nilou is really exciting. And she works fine without her specific buff, so she isn’t unplayable in other comps.

  6. I'm sure many players don't want powercreep in this game. So instead release same character with another name, they chose to made some characters more special or niche. If this is bad for you, what do you suggest? Powercreep? Clone chars?

  7. All these problems dont matter to the core audience. Most players dont even know how to make character kits work. Do you think they give a rats ass about some blooms? The only people who care are spiral abyss (anxiety content) players.

  8. I just want to say I don't care … Nothing in overworld survives untill I use my 2/4 character brusts.. Only in abyss mobs survives because of their insane hp and damage.. And only for abyss you need meta characters..If you think you can't clear overworld mobs/bosses within 1-2 minutes your character sucks bro.. Genshin is extremely easy and a single player game.. I don't get it why people getting sad over a fact that they are losing a bit of damage.. Just play whatever you like 😒

  9. I don't really get all this negativity towards nilou (not from brax specifically but in general). She is probably one of the most f2p friendly units having a team of her and 3 free characters. Building those 3 characters does not require farming forever for crit ratios just em and leveling. From a practical standpoint her team is good in every single scenario where there 2+ enemies and I don't think that's niche. Mobs that aren't naturally grouped can group themselves anyway if you position yourself the right way. That's what we used to do when the lectors and heralds were part of the abyss when we ran to one side and charged when they grouped themselves. It gives insentive (even though it's forcing) to play something else than vaporise, taser and the overly saturated national team. Final point i think it's apparent that hoyo is starting to create characters that don't need a bennet on their team , that don't need a kazuha on their team and will compensate in other ways like making the aoe of bountiful cores much bigger than normal cores etc. I see her design as very good because it lowers the value of certain units like kazuha and bennet (rightully so) and increasing the value of other characters like barbara or collei (again rightfully so) And this is a good thing because when units are so highly regarded as kazuha or bennet it makes people think that they have to build them or else they will be at a great disadvantage even though they might not like them. In other words it's making things more equal in the game. Imagine like the kazuha/klee banner , and you really wanted klee but have to pull kazuha almost because he's just that good and you're struggling to clear the abyss. Now imagine a new character that makes klees bombs heatseak like hyperbloom and boost their damage (some kind of catalyst overall buff) suddenly you would feel much more confident going for the character you want and not for the one you feel like you have to go for. But anyway those were the main points i wanted to adress.

  10. When i looked at her kit in beta i already knew she would be nothing but problematic. Hoyoverse is basically telling us how to play the characters now. So experimenting with different team comps is impossible with her. Then they made her constellation (C2) and kit useless if you dare to play her anything else but the way Hoyoverse intended for her. It is so clear that Nilou (and Cyno to an extent) where created only to give players a reason to pull for Nahida in the next patch. Before 3.1 there was NO real reason to pull for the her because there weren't many characters that would really benefit from her. I don't know if i should fear for Deyha which i'm really looking forward to. And that there a players that are OK with how Nilou's kit is designed baffles me (especially the CN side of Genshin).

P.S I wrote this comment before I saw the video so I was pretty shocked by how many of the problems I have with Nilou Brax has mentioned in his video.

  11. When i think of the strongest character in genshin raiden will always pop up even 80yrs from now because even if the enemies are immune to electro teammates get battery and burst dps buff ez clap

  12. Wouldn't allowing Nilou's bountiful core to work with a character like Kazuha, make the team too powerful? The limitation is probably there to limit the powerful Nilou's bountiful core feature (even though I don't think that's enough of a limitation especially as the game progresses). Even without bountiful core, can Nilou work at least as well as, say Ayato or Candace, as a hydro in a typical team?

Sometimes the words "FUN" and "OVERPOWERED" seem to overlap.

  13. I disagree with your point saying you have to “hyperinvest” in her team. We will get future dendro characters. And her kit requires her team to just EM or ER main stats for artifacts. Nilou only needs HP. Then you just get them to level 90. This is no different than getting your national team up to par. The only difference is the national team characters can be used outside of their team but Xiangling is tied to Bennett almost always. Only Xingqiu is flexible outside of national.

  14. Yeah she could have still had a niche in Bloom teams but the fact that they 100% restricted her to them is really quite stupid. Even Shenhe, to a degree, works with other characters just not as optimally. Very silly she couldn't have ONE other element in the team. It's not her being niche that's the problem – it's the fact that her passive DEACTIVATES ENTIRELY when using any non hydro or dendro! 😴😴😴😴😴

  15. Very honestly I wish they'd nerf/tweak some numbers for the base national, because it is too strong. Though I also wished they buffed/tweaked some underporforming units, like for godsake why is Albedo burst scaling off of atk ? That'd they'd allow themselves to make changes.

  16. Look, I know the passive in Nilou "limits" her desired partners, but frankly, it doesn't matter too much if her multipliers are as high as they are.

There's quite a few characters that passives aren't very strong anyway. She can vaporize and hurt stuff as much as anybody. She pulls ridiculous numbers on her ult. She has a "desired" team comp, but it's not necessarily even her best team, that's the power of numbers.

  17. I don’t really understand the opinion of Nilou being too niche when she’s more than acceptable outside of it in a bunch of teams. She feels more flexible than Sara in my opinion.

If a character is exceptional at a single play style but can still perform averagely or slightly above average in others then I think it’s fine. Like Kuki. She was never a terrible pick, she just didn’t have a best pick before dendro.

  18. I am afraid them releasing a more generalised unit who can be slotted into any teams might just be another Cyno, who's very mediocre as a limited unit to say the least, or even Ayato, granted he's in a much better spot than Cyno.

With the versatility of Dendro they might as well capitalize on its reactions by making niche units, with each having their own unique mechanics. I just wish they could design better 4* units cause holy sh*t i have not even a slightest of interest in trying out recent 4* and boy do i love depending on national team like always.

  19. They already said that the new dendro cores can't hyperbloom or burgeon, so what is the problem. Why can't we use other elements in the teams. Literally no reason for her to have that passive

  20. Apparently asking for Nilou talent to include buffing burgeon, burning and hyperbloom with her supposedly perfect elemental powers are way too much like asking for more resins or simply faster artefacts grinding

It's mad that Nilou players needed to wait like 1-5 months or even more just for the next patches to wait for roster of Dendro characters that specifically fits with Nilou, how are these being a not illegal business practice since people wait months of FOMO? It's mentally gruelling and I don't even asked for endgame or anything myself, the FOMO problems are universal by nature

These characters aren't just expensive because of appearance, voice or idle animation, the kits needs to worth the gacha money too (since it's very expensive, like even more expensive than a 70 USD AAA game with how Genshin gacha works), so of course people have rights to beg or complain for Nilou being buffed or even readjusted proper

  21. this is like if ganyu's bloom shot didn't work if there was an element other than hydro and cryo on the team. thing is i don't think a more versatile nilou would be nearly as strong as ganyu? so hyv, uhm. wtf

  22. No. No power-creep. Bad Braxophone, bad!

More seriously…meh take? I mean, ok, I get the concern but…Nilou might be super restrictive, she has specifically one team with 3 F2P characters, DMC, Collei, and Barbara. Nilou is F2P friendly in her niche, it's just that she's not competitive if you don't replace Barbara by Kokomi…In other words, she's both F2P playable, and P2P meta-relevant. And she's one Dendro healer away from being much more flexible, honestly (Baizhu/YaoYao when?) This would open her team comps tremendously, and it's pretty much guaranteed to happen.

Honestly, I'm much more concerned about future Geo units. Geo not interacting much with other elements is flavorful, but I'm afraid it's a bit of a dead-end, design-wise.
While I get that people don't necessarily want the devs to feed-force them specific teams or mechanics, the job of the devs is to precisely do that, but so that it isn't too visible. It's just a little too visible in Nilou's case. And even then, people built Vape Nilou teams soooooo…point is, there will always be an optimal way to use a character, a meta…but meta is a mindset, which has its uses, but can also cloud your vision, like I think is the case here.

New characters can open niches, even if they seem restrictive. Nilou opens up pure Bloom teams. If she wasn't restricted to pure Bloom, then there would be no incentive at all to run a fridge team without her. Btw, Nilou has a kit designed so that she can be played both on-field and off-field, which means the devs did think about the restricitve aspect and basically made two characters in one. Thing is, restrictions can breed creativity. If you only have perfectly balanced units, then just slap them with three staple characters, and boom, you have a meta team…which begs the question, where is the creativity in that? Another National team, yay!

So I kinda disagree. Nilou design is a success, she effectivly creates her own niche without rendering any previous team irrelevant. And this is prolly what we should hope for the future of the game. EM Barbara is a thing now, for the Archon's sake!

  23. Thx for your honest opinion
I wanna add.. her signature sword is so ugly on her, is elegance not allowed in sumeru?

She is cute, but i am not compelled to pull at all, and i think it is not great for new players to start with 5* like her. She needs premium supports to feel amazing.. meh.. and that ugly brick for a dancer on top

  24. While it may be a lot harder to do there are ways to “powercreep” characters without out right replacing them, a perfect example is what kazuha did to venti, kazuha (and a shift towards less CC-able enemies) turned what was the go to anemo unit to something less universal, venti is still astronomically strong but kazuha is more all purpose. Doing this could be better then the niche unit spam

  25. I prefer the idea they make more content for us to use the characters.

There is no point to this discussion if abyss is the only relevant content for it.

  26. I personally find it… Concerning, but not the worst issue. Sure, the niche and restrictiveness allows the unit (in this case Nilou) to only perform best in one team, but it performs incredibly well, and looks quite fun too. At the time sadly, there are just 2 off field Dendro units. As time passes on, we'll get more Dendro units, and Nilou players will get more options.

As for niche roles… I do hope that there will be an HP% increase units sometime. There are a handful of hp scaling units who'd definently benefit from it~
