  1. Remember China does not have copyright laws one of the most disgusting that still exist when it comes to asian culture is that this still happens around since the dynasty.

(Screwing each other for the sake of talent and face whole eliminating the competition whole stealing other original works and calling it theirs.)

This really hit homes but like i said copyright does not apply to china laws because if they do ooooh… Boy their products of full inventory is so cheap most of them if not almost are infringement.

(Because ya know good for the economy.)

  2. I dont really feel very strongly about this plagiarism issue (same old for the devs and Chinese games in general)
But the graphics are severely underwhelming and unpolished, played for a while but decided to stop

  3. Pretty sure this is old news that has already been cleared up and is only being brought up now for views. Honestly I don't really care too much tbh. I do play the game now, but I wouldn't be sad if it disappeared. Anime stuff is always copying each other anyways.

  4. Just a note, Hotta, the devs hired a 3rd party for their trailers like a lot of smaller game companies do, they dont make them themselves so i wouldnt accuse Hotta of plagiarism right away, but they are to be blamed for not being careful with reviewing what they got and hiring credible 3rd parties for their ads. Also they never apologised for this trailer so thats kinda bad too

  5. While no one owns rights to camera and pov angles, poses or any common animation/story telling trope. What makes that obvious Plagiarism and not heavy influence is the blatant and intention copy paste being done here in the Tower of Fantasy trailer in comparison to the celebration video by the small company. The only thing vaguely original Prefect world made was their mmo of the same name.

  6. This behavior goes waaay back. I remember when I played Perfect World International the first time soon after release, whenever any of the mobs died, I couldn't help but notice the death vocals sounded exactly like those from WoW.

  7. This wouldn't be the first time developers of Tower of Scam straight up stole someone else's work either. I remember sometime ago they were busted for stealing assets from other gacha games including, of course, Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact.

  8. Okay let's clear things up. This fucking thing is from a year ago, they've already apologized for it and those cinematics were outsourced too(if you don't know how it works then shut up, game cinematics are 90% outsourced and they already said it numerous times), so it isn't even their fault. Don't fucking bring old things that they've already apologized for just to shit on this game. Also mihoyo made some bullshit yknow? And Hotta studio also is open for the community, which Mihoyo isn't. Hotta apologized for this plagiarism because the fans reported it, they weren't even sued by Mihoyo for stealing that honkai's prop, they apologized and removed it because the fans noticed it. Do y'all remember the scam rewards for genshin anniversary? Every fan was angry about it and Mihoyo didn't apologize once. Also, they literally reused the designs of some characters in Honkai into Genshin and nobody said anything. They both are their games, but that doesn't permit them to be this lazy.

  9. Bro nothing’s gonna happen to the big company, the game is gonna continue to pick up speed and this small company is going to continue to cry until they get over it. other companies like roosterteeth are constantly stealing from other groups and fans without crediting them so this is really nothing new.

  10. I mean, all of this info is from months ago, as you said yourself.
Youtube channel MMObyte covered all of this stuff as it happened.
That said I feel it turned out to be a decent game.
I also dislike how people keep claiming its a clone, just because it is an anime styled game. Salty much?

  11. eh, Disney did this with Kimba (or Leo) The White Lion. The Lion King is actually a knockoff of a beloved anime. The animated series was first broadcast in Japan on Fuji Television from October 6, 1965 to September 28, 1966. It was the first color TV anime series.
The Japanese studio was too small an entity to take on the Disney empire.

  12. The game is average at best judging from the first few hours I have played. It's visuals are average compared to Genshin's, the ost is forgettable at best, the gameplay is boring, the eng voice acting is trash, the story's start is boring, the combat only looks good because it has good animations but in reality it feels really unresponsive.
Average gameplay, average visuals, bad story, bad characters, bad voice acting, average open world, trash UI, this game has nothing going for it at this point.

Add to that the facts that it's an MMO and we have to wait 40-60 minutes just to get in the game (for the first few days before people start abandoning it) and the really bad release date (11 days before Genshin's 3.0 version that will bring Sumeru), we all know that this game will not last even a month with what is has now.
