Been playing Yoimiya/Raiden since she came out! I leveled Kitain Cross Spear for the build, and plan to farm an EM-focused Tenacity set for Raiden when I get around to it.
Is it optimal? Maybe not. Can it clear Abyss anyway? Damn straight!
Idk I still prefer my C6 Fischl with R5 stringless over Raiden it does way more damage. I guess it's another alternative. But Visually I like Yoimiya and Raiden Synergy more. The Thunder Circle on her back with the electric dimension slash while shooting flame arrows looks sic and it matches her signature bow lol.
The first thing I thought when I saw Raidens elemental skill for the first time I wanted to try her with Yoimiya!
While I don't really use high EM the overload damage is still impressive and the elemental skill/burst spam is just too damn fun.
As a guy who used to main lavawalker chongyun + bennett c6, I'm way too tempted to try this out
Yoimiya – Raiden – C6 Bennett – Zhongli/Sucrose sounds super interesting
If you don’t have 5 star pyros, I believe yanfei would also give a decent result
Honestly this purpose was the only reason I was ever intrigued into wanting Ei, but I went primo broke trying to get yoi's bow sadly so now I await Yae

Thank you for this! I'd been having a lot of fun pairing Yoimiya with C6 Fischl, but when Ei showed up (nowhere close to pity & a complete surprise!), I swapped her in and even at level 40 with unleveled artifacts and a lv. 1 Favonius lance, I noticed a significant increase in Yoimiya's damage. Kind of makes me want to build a properly cursed Shogun!

I used to pair Yoimiya with Beidou in 2.0 and when 2.1 came I just maxed Beidou’s friendship, so timely at Raiden’s arrival

I'm running this interaction, although not building Raiden for Elemental Mastery cause of my low level. One thing about it is that after Yoimiya's Burst you can go into Raiden's burst and do a shiton of Overload damage too! At least in my case where Raiden is built as a Sub DPS. I love playing them together.
I rock raiden with yoimiya cuz I love my fireworks girl but I prefer her meta build with some substat em so when yoimiya’a e is down I can use raidens Q it’s a great duo!
Tentens argument is so fucking stupid bruh, how are you not playing the character thats on field. Whether or not that character is the main dps is a different and actually valid argument.

I did it, try it with a friend who got Raiden first. I can say that this is the reason I finally pulled Raiden after 5 days of doubting.

Raiden was made for Yoimiya the synergy is insane
I am currently using Albedo, Yoimiya, Raiden and Xingqiu. And IT IS GREAT. I just hope there will be a Zhongli rerun 😠for better geo synergy and shield
The beauty of their pairing is that Ei is not limited by range unlike Oz so Yoimiya can trigger Overload at better distances
Finally someone recognize this build, its f2p friendly if you don't have much resource, just put all em on her and if you don't have dragon's bane, you can use the new craftable polearm weapon from inazuma its passive suits her and it has elemental mastery on it too

is em raiden good for everything aside from overload? planning to build just because i used the inazuma polearm because it looks good on her lol

With hu tao, the overload dmg can double, even triple, if only there 2 or more mob and close each other though

Really liking the rotation and massive energy batt character keeps the bursts up to use with yioimya e skill and with baal I can chose to go big and use burst on tough enemies or it it just hillychurls the overload/shield makes it efficient.

surprisingly, Raiden + Yoimiya is pretty fun.
Albedo with the Q buff the overlod damage, you can even put a istructor on zhong for even more EM buff
in theory a EM build is budget bc you don't need to care of any stat or talent but…you need a lv90 unit and a full set of EM artifact that are not so common, so intense farming to get the one you need on set
p.s. dragon's bane is good on her tho (estetic)
the really good thing of EM builds is that when you have a set that you can use on more character, you are done, for good on the artifact aspect
If you're stacking Raiden for EM, wouldn't it be better to just play Fischl?
