The new generation of genshin players need another set of the same formula of characters to spend their wallets, so expect to see similar characters in the future
Despite her weird kit(?), I would absolutely love to get her. but she will have her own rerun soon (hopefully her rerun won't be almost non existent Albedo's tho..), so I'm trying my best to stick with my decision and not pull for her because the characters that will have their rerun soon will take like 2000 years to come back again. Let's hope she'll come back 7 months after her release or smth, I really want her lol. I wish the best of luck to all Kokomi wanters!! 😀
I'm pretty sure even tho kokomi might be the best healer, bennett atk buff is what we look at and we can quick swap to bennett unlike kokomi burst (according to what i see on leaks)
people want her kit to make sense cause right now, it doesnt. a lot of her talents doesnt make sense.
not being able to crit but the multipliers are low, not even decent.
and no, she is not also easy to build cause now, you would not want two substats in your artifacts (Crit Rate and Damage). you would only be limited to seeing atk%, hp%, ER%. EM is terrible on her due to her icd.
furthermore, her additional skill of being able to walk on water through her burst is such a waste of usage of burst for 70energy cost. her skill apparently doesnt generate lots of energy either. this skill also contradicts her passive talent of decreasing stamina consumption when swimming cause youre not swimming when youre walking on water lol.
kokomi only offers healing so far but her burst requires on field time. why would you want her to stay on field if she deals mediocre damage.
im hating the beta testers. it feels like a lot were only simp for ayaka and raiden. they have forgotten about yoimiya and kokomi.
Btw for the cryo cube just go near him when he shoot the ice cube, if u do he will drop it very close to each other so u have a faster hitting em.

tbh im skipping everyone until Yae. Yae is like my favorite character atm and im f2p, my pity is at 86 and shes guaranteed. i can sleep better at night knowing the fact that im only 4 wishes away from my fave character. i really dont care about anyone else. Yeah Raidens kit does sound good and fun but i gotta stay strong 😔
I don't care what anyone says. If kokomi is a legit dps healer, I'm pulling for her. Not guaranteed but I'm gonna try anyway. I love Barbara to death and she still helps keep my team alive but I want a HYDRO unit who is mainly a dps that has great healing and as of right now, I feel like mainly Jean or maybe a really insane Qiqi are the ones who do that really well. I'm not a pro at genshin builds and every single healer, but if she can be a really great dps as a hydro character or if she can be like Jean who can be a sub-dps/healer or a main depending on build, I'm saving everything for her.

Is it just me or are the upcoming characters all repetitions if old ones? We are getting our third hydro catalyst in Kokomi, our third cryo bow in Aloy, our third pyro polearm in Thoma, budget Fischl, and our second electro catalyst user in Yae. Gorou and Raiden seem original enough, but I'm still expecting major backlash by the time 2.2 drops.

As someone who is trying to main Ayaka, I see a lot of value in Kokomi being a healer/tank/sub dps for my team. I love the design of the raiden shogun but at the same time, none of the other hydro characters fit my team or play style. What Kokomi looks like to me is a super easy to build sub dps who can also drop heavy heals, freeze, and face tank moves I know I can’t dodge. It will be nice to not have to build crit on her because I never get good crit rolls
I respectfully disagree. I think kokomi does bring something new to the table. She’s not just a healer like barbara or a hydro applicator like xingqiu. I think what makes her different is that she is a support/healer that can be your main dps. Why would they want her to deal a lot of damage and with her ult if she was just made for healing/hydro application alone? I think what Mihoyo planned for her is to become your all rounder support/healer/main dps (with a good battery like baal) with only ONE BUILD which is to scale her with hp and healing bonus. Barbara cant do dps if you build her only with hp. Xingqiu cant heal with his passive unless you give him more hp and lessen his damage. Kokomi is called Jesus for a reason. Not only because she can walk on water, but also because she is a JACK OF ALL TRADES. She is not only a healer. She is not only a support. She is not only a dps. She is everything. If you would ask me, I would compare her to noelle because noelle can be a jack of all trades too. But the fact that kokomi is hydro makes her better at dealing damsge because she can do more reactions like electrocharged while dealing damage. You can also compare her to xiao because xiao relies on his ult for damage and he needs a battery for that.
Edit: ALSO HAVE YALL FORGOTTEN THAT SHE DOESNT NEED TO CRIT TO DEAL ALOT OF DAMAGE!?!? Imagine having to roll for crit rate or crit damage to deal damage. Kokomi can’t relate
If we have a catalyst healer and a catalyst support which type of catalyst will Kokomi be if she already heals?
It's very questionable to assume she is a five version of Barbara who is to assume that since she heals that will be the only thing she can do if that was the case mihoyo wouldn't have released her unless they knew she would change the view of what healers can actually do in the game
This is just like the situation with lazuha we just saw what he brought to the table, so we shouldn't be too quick to judge kokomi's potential
Either way at this moment mihpyo is working towards making characters that have decent power like yoimiya and seem to add at least half of that element to Baal it wouldn't be too much of a problem with Kokomi
I think they want to try and address the issue with hydro by releasing this specific character and you never know when hydro will be buffed

Dendro isn't released and there are too many electro characters on the way so an electro healer might be a possibility in the future
The 2.1 Livestream is going to answer all our questions and help us understand how these characters work so hopefully we can get a great impression of this character
Okay hear me out! after Inazuma and Sumeru we will get to meet the Hyro Archon. So far we know that every Archon will be awesome and strong when not the strongest – gameplay-wise- in their own element. Based on that its likely that the hydro archon will be an amazing support-healer. No archon has been useless so far so I'm confident we will get content that will put us in need of a good support with decent healing in the future! = Kokomi WILL have her time to shine!
I am saving everything and super looking forward to kokomi!! I already have amazingly built Kequig Fischl and Beidou so Baal dosnt give me much value…as well i do not have Mona or Childe…so Kokomi is going to be amazing for my Electro charged and freeze teams!! As well as my Kazuah elemental team!! I CNT WAIT!! I hope she comes out before Baal!!
I really hope Mihoyo buff her in some way before/or on her release day. Mihoyo could even release some kind of artifact set to bring out her full potential because currently she is sub par 😔.

Kokomi is a Burst DPS Healer. Yeah I said it, Burst DPS. Unlike Barbs, she has the potential to do massive damage, esp when paired with Xiangling's pyronado during her burst. As support, her E Skill does DoT so give her a 4 pc Millelith for HP and Atk Buff (forget the shield). Very F2P friendly, she can use Thrilling Tales or the craftable Prototype Amber. Got unlucky with a bunch of HP artifacts with no crit sub-stats? Give them to Kokomi. TLDR; She's a very versatile support character, with the potential to do great damage, while being very very F2P friendly.

They need to make more fun 5*s like yoimiya. Ayaka is grueling to play and I feel like kokomi will feel super clunky.
I love the video and agree with a lot of your points, but I do thing you suffer from a lack of information.
If you're going to judge a character based on two things (element and weapon) then you're not going to present an effective case.
Look up leaks, that's why the fandom is scared for kokomi, because the way it's looking is that she'll be Barbara 2.0
But you barely touched on that and only really talked about her position in the banner roster, which yes, I agree, she got fucked.
For example, she scales off hp, her healing scales of hp and from leaks about her moveset, her burst converts her normal into hp.
Another thing is that she can't crit, literally impossible for her after she levels up.

Water is one of the main element, as fire, cold and electro, but you have only 4 water-characters, so we need another water. Kokomi is a unique sub/main dps that allows you not to bring a healer in your party, Mona can’t do that, neither Barbara can’t be an effective healer and dps at the same time.
Maybe they made her look bad now so we ganna throw everything into baal banner, then boom she is good again on her release, forcing ppl to recharge primogems 🤔
I've completed my teams for spiral abyss and at this point I'm just summoning 5 stars characters for fun, baal is probably gonna be strong af but if that's the case I think she might get a rerun pretty soon. As for kokomi she's cute and her kit is very different for any other characters (0% crit rate) so I think she's gonna be interesting to play with not to mention we finally got another hydro character
