Honestly, I think reverse raids would be cool. Instead of attacking enemies in large groups, you're supposed to team up with your friends/teammates to either protect a nation or protect each other.
I think in this way, units that are horrible can finally be viable like Amber or Xinyan.
0:15 – 0:15 are facts that most players wish to ignore but in practice they work 🤷🤷
Tbh, nope. I like Genshin Impact because multiplayers is not a necessity. We don't have to play with another human being to have fun.
I dont need Koop, i need harder Content in the Open World.
This Game is too easy
I believe the characters themselves would be a problem in long content like raids. Every character has a very limited moveset that's alleviated by swapping characters, which you may not be able to do in a raid. Imagine playing Kokomi for two hours straight.
my idea about raids in Genshin is probably like a small domains with mobs you can clear to get certain buffs while learning the mechanic of the boss and the raid will drop something like a mats for craftable 5* weapons or maybe they have a specific 5* 1 piece artifacts that you can customize it's mainstats or substats to your leisure.. my only fear with Raid-like content in Genshin that forces you to play together with other is everyone running something like Kokomi, Zhongli, and 2 self sustaining DPS
Genshin has multiplayer? lol
maybe a raid/dungeon thats endless and can give you loot (artifacts or artifacts experience, exp books, mora) Longer you go the more loot you can get, coopable
Let me ask you this. Is HOYOVERSE going to make money by adding a raid boss? No so they are not going to. Genshin will stay as this event baced gacha game. Stop dreaming
I have seen veteran players who still don't know how artifacts works and i have seen players that don't even level character's talent. Perhaps today i will see adventure rank 5 player 36 stars the abyss. H-haa haa
Cool to see destiny getting some love in Genshin comments
I mean unlike with the ladder abyss idea, while im not sure how this could work, raids sound way better as an idea and i would love it, as it would actually make coop worth it.
I don't even need Raids tbh. I JUST want everything in Genshin to be Co-Op capable. Every event with any form of combat? Co-Op capable. Every quest? Co-Op capable (WITH SHARED QUEST PROGRESS!), Spiral Abyss? Co-Op Capable. Co-Op Spiral Abyss would make me actually care enough to run the damn thing. Two players means two characters each half, 3 players means Host gets 2, everyone else gets 1 each half, 4 players means each player gets 1 character per half. It's all I really want. Co-Op just feels so half-assed currently, where it just only works for the most basic and barebones content.
Endgame co-op idea: You're replaying the destruction of Kaenria'h. Only Archons are allowed on your team.
More co-op means more resources taken away from the main game and more grinding. That's how it usually works with these sorts of games, doesn't it?
I won't do raids. If they tie rewards to raids, I'll just stop playing.
Azdaha, azdaha is the perfect room for a 6man to 8 man raid. He has gimmicks like the lightning and also the ice, or the stumps. Azdaha in my head is the ideal raid place and till this day I think he was meant to be that but the idea got scratch 🤔
Ideally I would love to see boss waves with massive mob waves as well. Something like abyss except for coop and extremely deadly, however I think that it should also have a much less strict time limit
dont diss my girl xinyan
They could implement them in a similar way they did the lord of vortex jade palace fight. big boss, small waves of fodder, some players can operate cannons while others deal with fodder
If the raids are just a multiplayer version of the abyss, I wouldn't even bother doing it. Limited time dps checks are always bad
I agree that Genshin, as an online PvE game, needs to figure out its co-op. Raids certainly are a well established concept that could be fit into Genshin, but I don't know if raids would "feel right" in Genshin. I like the the Destiny referenced ideas, but I still think that is still a little tangent to Genshin's design.
I think "scenarios" might be a better fit. For example, GW2 was built on instances of different areas on the world map. One type of these areas were maps entirely devoted to a series of events that would take place. Depending on how the players did in each event, the scenario would unfold differently. Now GW2 is no Genshin Impact. GW2 instances were designed for a large number of players to take part in these scenarios. Genshin scenarios would probably need to be limited to four players.
Let me pitch an idea for a Genshin scenario. The Stormterror event from early story could have made for an excellent four-player scenario. Rather than having to create a new domain (such as the meh Stormterror domain), it could have been a repeatable event (or part of a series of events, aka scenario) that takes place in an instance of Mondstat. The scenario could be a series of events for players to participate in over the course of 15-60 minutes (though given the casual nature of Genshin, probably going to be capped at 15 minutes). This would thematically fit into Genshin better than a traditional raid, yet it could still include challenging fights.
What I think would really make a scenario great in Genshin is including the "risks" mechanics like they did starting with the Hypostatic Symphony (also, I'm a huge AK CC fan, systems like this are just great). This would allow a team of players to make the scenario as challenging or casual as they like.
i dont see why hoyoverse should care to this extent about what casual players feel when its the whales who keep the game going…. they just dont wanna make any difficult and engaging content thats that
Apparently, D2's sunset in the fall of 2020 has caused many players to join Genshin Impact instead. lol
However, before discussing the RAID, we should first try the feasibility of the STRIKE. This makes the most of open-world maps and saves development time. Let the 3 players assemble at the host's place, go to the three locations A, B, and C in order to defend the enemy attack, and finally duel with the boss. Outside the combat area can be turned into a red zone, and entering there will be discouraged by Paimon.
Personally I'd like to see a dungeon run style raid with a boss fight at the end. I imagine a 4player raid where up front the player are told of 2 or 3 elements that will be required to complete the puzzles within the domain and the player make their raid team members based on that info. I like the idea of meeting an obstacle in a raid and needing to reevaluate if you don't meet the requirements. Say you know you need pyro and someone brings Diluc only to find the torch can only be hit by a ranged pyro user. Your raid team would have to rerun and change characters based on the new information gathered in the last run. Thats the kind of raid I'd like and I picture it being a weekly thing of maybe biweekly on the off week from abyss reset
A major aspect of Destiny raids are the puzzles, and luckily for us,Genshin’s puzzles are absolutely great. There are tons of assets they could use to make multiplayer friendly puzzles. If Hoyoverse reused things like wind currents, electrogranum, or the Lumenstone Adjuvant, players would already know how they worked, significantly reducing the learning curve for raids while still allowing interesting implementation of these tools.
as long as it's solo able then anything is fine!
I would like to see them do a 4×16 raid system, where each player has 4 characters (that we can switch between like we do now) but can only field 1 at a time.
– So in the queue it would show which 4 characters each person already in the raid has and you would need to pick 4 others (so build more characters just in case).
– If someone disconnects then you can still continue the raid and someone else could join (up to a certain point before the final boss fight).
– No timer, just 4 people learning the boss and for those who figure it all out it should take between 15 to 30 minutes (on average).
– The rewards would need to be good as well.

Good video, I like this one better than the PVP video.
We have co-op raids in Honkai and I imagine the same approach would work fine for Genshin.
– Each user brings 1 character per level, no dupes between users allowed. You can see info on the enemies to be fought to allow informed decisions. Users tend to play a mix of dps’ and supports that complement them.
– levels are a mix of traversal areas fight mobs along the way often with mini bosses at the end or straight up boss fights
– minor mechanics are involved, eg players speak out and stand on respective switches to deactivate a bosses temp shield, or players split out into separate lanes to clear mobs solo according to their strengths, or dual bosses with one weak to elemental and one to physical, nothing too complicated.
– once a character is used by a player it is locked and cannot be reused by that player on the following lvls for that run. It can be used by other players if they haven’t done so yet
– raids typically consist of 6 or so levels so it’s not hard to have sufficient characters to participate
– users can drop out in between lvls if they want and it’ll match make a replacement player
– raids can be joined in easy and hard modes. Easy let’s you learn then mechanics, hard gets you the better loot.
– raids are reset weekly for decent loot.
I play genshin on the PS but have played Honkai sololy on mobile for 4 or so years and never had an issue completing a raid. Only annoying thing is having to wait for a team to form but Genshin is usually pretty quick with the hide and seek etc events so might not be that bad.
don't forget the Childe boss fight nerf is only the story beat, the weekly boss one isn't nerf at all. But in case of the topic I want to have a raid boss, I don't care if has complicated puzzles with a boss at the end or just HP sponges, I don't care I just want a repeatable content that i can sink in to.
Mihoyo : nah we can't do that, and btw we will introduce dirty shoes animation in next version
Omg just imagining made me thrilled 😍
Wish hoyo make this content
I would like to see coop where we can do the quests together
I don’t have a problem with your pvp opinion but the amount of salt in this video is really cringe
