Shenhe: Cryo DPS Zhongli(Chongyun for infusion)
Yunjin: Physical DPS Zhongli(makes up for his low N5 modifier)
Sara: Mono Electro POWER.
Gorou: Makes Itto good, but also, makes Burst Support Zhongli stronger.
I adore how you give attention to characters who aren't often talked about let alone recomended in team comps. Cause I get tired hearing 'use Xiangling, just use Xingque, use Bennett everywhere'. And I only like Bennett as a character, the other two are just… no, don't wanna build them. I enjoy doing the Abyss without needing the best supports in the game. Feels like a great accomplishment to me uwu
Honestly, I think making niche supports is great for the game. hoYoVerse acknowledges these team comps (or want to make variety of new team comps), that allow us to have a different way of playing the game. Granted, I'm all for the mono teams and I'm down to see a Mono dendro team in the near future.
In conclusion, c6 isnโt bad anymore.
I hate how internet language has redefined "broken" as super strong. No, broken isnt only for super strong characters, weapons or abilities, its for stuff thats not working as intended, therefore, BROKEN.
Noelle, gorou, yunjin team is actually insane
I have leveled and played exactly zero of these characters….because they have no role with any team I would play. I reflex leveled Sara when she came out, but she's just unusable at C0. I don't play geo, so no Gorou. (Though I do run Ning on my alt, but she can't benefit from Gorou, so lol?) I don't see any point in pulling for Shenhe when I could just pair Ganyu with Ayaka. And aside from not really liking Yun Jin's design, I don't own Yoimiya, so who am I going to use her with?
So yeah, they're basically all worthless to me. Maybe Sara will become marginally viable with constellations. Maybe one day I'll have a new character one of them synergizes well with. But right now, they might as well be Xinyan.
The Genshin community has a bad habit of underestimating new characters. Oh, this character doesn't do 1 million damage unbuffed? Pfft!
Wait why canโt yunjin buff childe, I though his skill damage was counted an normal attack damage?
shenhe at before c6 only have limited amount of buffs, only at c6 it blew all other support out of the water for cryo teams
just recently started using yunjin with ayato and…. yeah it's whole new world for me can't wait to c6 her
I donโt have my Sarah or Yunjin raises, but my level 90 Shenhe absolutely made my Ganyu and Ayaka hit harder than with my Bennett. Love her!
I am both a c6 sara and yunjin haver and have both crowned. I play Sara a lot especially and I just really enjoy her playstyle. Double crowned her even. I actually crowned all 4 charactes mentioned here at least once. I just love buffers and being able to play something else than the top of the topmeta.
I wish I could use Gorou… but my Noelle isn't C6 and I'm never pulling for Itto because I dislike him. It's so bizarre that Gorou is tailor-made for Itto; in terms of lore it makes no sense at all. I just hope a character I actually like whom Gorou buffs well enough to justify the team slot eventually appears.

Something interesting to me is that bennett IS also a specialist support once you activate c6, the extra pyro damage bonus actually shocked me when I first tested it out. I feel like hoyoverse really meant for their supports to be this way even with the initial release in mind, and its honestly cool to see
I liked that you pointed out that Sara does contribute a large amount to damage in her best teams, because it feels like a lot of the time people forget she is not only a buffer but also a burst DPS who can buff herself. Unlike Yun Jin and Gorou (whom I have invested into, as I also main Yoimiya and Itto) she is more expensive to build since you want to give her a 5* weapon and stack her with attack, lots of CR and as much CD as possible. But, on the other hand, it is satisfying to see her drop casual nukes.
many players have misunderstood the damage generated by the characters in this game. why? because there are many videos that show the character's damage was done in spiral abyys, not outside. they produce damage due to combos and get buffs on every floor, so when other players see our damage outside (co-op) someone says: " ah your demage is small even though that character can blah blah blah " and say: "your character is trash" THIS just an example. so that it is easy to understand, do it with only one character along with the info on the weapon used and the artifact. let's say we have the same character, the same level, the same talent level, the same weapon and the same artifact BUT if our character status differs from 1% to 5% of our strength then the results will be different except for the combo. do it without food buff, combo. solo character will be easier to understand how strong he is.

I wish yunjin's burst gave a small shield like beidou c1 or reduces damage taken/give interruption resistance like xingqiu's skill.
Right now i have nothing to pull for and I have a chongyun full with 30 CV artifacts and a one 40 CV Flower so I'm going for shenhe so aunt and nephew may destroy abyss soon for me (:

I am AR 56 and I donโt have any of these characters. I got Benny only about a week ago.
The 'meta' suprisingly is a result of genshin intentionally withholding resources to prolong playtime, limited resources means you can only invest in a limited number of characters until you have finally hit max AR, and the underperforming characters simply get stomped by the powercrept newer content, i call it powercrept because the world already scales with your AR, yet the newer regions are basically outscaling you unless you already massively outgear/level the world.
All of these limitations are because of resin and the world level system punishing you for not funneling all of your resources into the 'op' character
