Good to know when I get her on a rerun banner, and the only reason I'm even interested is her passive. Bow characters are not good for me.
best rotation for her would probably be charged-skill-charged-burst. The second charge is if you get the barb from your skill, and if you have enough time to get the shot out and burst to catch the particles.
I really like her, each part of her kit looks fun and powerful. Even if you get bored of her burst then you have her sprint skill and charged shot. And if you get bored of on-field DPS than you can go off-field DPS with her burst and damage increase.
I already am ready to get her maxed out, I would crown her skill if I had c1, it's just too short of an ability to crown imo.

I have 3 team in mind for her.
Chunky water: Yelan, Itto, Gorou/Yun Jin, Zhongli. The name is self-explanatory, Geo and Hydro.
Normal atk team: Tartaglia/Yoimiya, Yun Jin, Yelan, Bennett. You can swap Yun Jin for Kazuha for more Yelan damage, but Yun Jin makes the main DPS do more damage.
Thunder stars: Kokomi, Raiden, Yae Miko, Yelan. The name comes from how both Yelan and Kokomi shoot out fast moving blue projectiles that resembled shooting starts, and the thunder is from Yae and Raiden electro strikes.

How can you do an “ultimate guide” when she s not even released yet ? A pre-release guide ok sure…
Nice guide, but She has no atk% scaling on her skill, burst, nor her breakthrough barb charged attack right? At all. So Idk about recommending atk% as one of the substats for artifacts for people. Idk if I missed anything, but from what I understand all her sources of significant damage have only HP scaling in her mods. So wouldn't going for atk% subs be a waste on her actually? I don't mean to nitpick, your video was wonderful and presented really nice done very well. I just don't see the value for atk% subs on her unless I missed something.
If you're running her with her weapon, you NEED an ER sands, badly. Favonius is her best-in-slot F2P because of the energy gain, and she doesn't have that with her weapon.
Yelan is amazing, her entire kit Is well designed.
Easy to build HP (no split scaling)
C1 is not impossible to get even for a f2p who has saved for a while or Low spenders that purchase welkin monthly
Skill damage is 40% of max HP, with C1 you can use it twice in a row
Burst Is a XQ
Passive improves atk of active character when you switch your DPS will have higher damage over time
Team comp I want to try is
Heizou/Yelan/any electro/Zonghli
Big daddy zong debuff, plus Heizou VV debuff while doing electrocharge reactions 🔥

please help me decide, I don't like playing with the 2 DPS i accidentally got so I'm thinking of going for Yelan BUT I read that Klee will be on the next update.
Klee weighs more for me because I'd be more motivated to play longer since she's my favorite
But Yelan looks like a solid unit that I should get.
I've never really like XQ at all and never really use him. Personally I think he's overhyped so getting Yelan is essentially a better XQ so I am 100% getting her to finally replace XQ.
Now that I think about that…a 4 piece wanderer does indeed sound interesting. It is just too bad I dont have any HP% pieces of that set, because why would I keep something I will never upgrade on any of my characters?
Can you clarify what you mean by "main DPS"? To me, main DPS = on field DPS while the term sub DPS = off field DPS and Yelan's design is purely a sub DPS build until you get her to C6.
If she’s hydro, won’t Noblesse be better? Provided you won’t use her and another Noblesse user in the same team.
Atk is pretty much useless on her.. which also makes some 4* options her BiS after Aqua. Favonious Bow is at least her top 3 choices and it´s a free weapon everyone gets.
