  1. I just hate that genshin is on mobile and made for mobile first. I have nothing against mobile players. I really like genshin and i mean A LOT, and that is why I hate it being a mobile game. I see very clear as day how many bottlenecks are due to this game being on mobile. So much potential that Genshin has is completely gimped by it being on mobile. Gameplay complexity, Inputs/controls, map size, map interactivity, NPCs abilities and # that populate the map, Visual FX, Graphical fidelity, Individual systems running simultaneously, the amount of literal content you can have in the game at any given point, everything.

Genshin hasn’t even been out a year and we are already getting cucked by this. What will it be like in 1 or 2 years from now? They can’t really shift the game away short of the player base nearly dying out and doing some sort of reboot. They are kind of stuck with the path they chose.

I guess I’m just saying I hate when amazing games are created and they are built for the lowest common denominator, especially when it greatly inhibits that game

  2. Teccy, I don't know if the tech is out of date, but Everquest 2 back in the day had such a huge file size that they eventually allowed players to play using a streaming service, instead of downloading the entire game. Basically, you downloaded the major game files that required the game to work, and then the streaming service streamed everything else to you (i.e. landscapes, locations, map details, etc). If Mihoyo implemented this for phone users, maybe this could be a way to mitigate the inevitably large file size Genshin will be.

  3. But I can’t offered a pc my pc only for school work and hopefully I will get on soon and feel the same way sorry but that would make me miss a lot of new characters and events 😭😭😭😭😭🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

  4. If the golden apple archipelago is gonna cause optimisation problems for mobile, then when the 7 or 8 nations get released there is 0 fucking chance that the game is gonna even run on 10 fps while your phone is turning into a hot coal

  5. For the DLC idea, it would work if there was some way to save what you have completed within the zone.
If that's doable then this is definitely a good idea, but the data does need to be stored somewhere

  6. i mean if you think about what the next update and how they referred the islands as the " summer islands " they'll most likely come back next summer :/

  7. This is actually pretty brilliant.
The only argument against it is that data transfer has innate costs, but most people are only going to DL it once (unless completely reinstalling). Nobody is going to DL it again because they missed an instanced zone they already 100%'d. Plus, it adds a massive amount of back-content for new players.

  8. While I do somewhat agree once the patch is over I feel that there will be nothing to really do on these islands. I think its a good temp summer patch that they can bring back every year (but changes every year mind you, like revolving around another character, boss, different landscape etc but just always a completely new place that isn't in Tevyat). Will people miss out? sure but if its just filler.
In saying that though this might be a bit harsh but I feel like Mihoyo shouldn't have to cater to mobile players just because their device can't keep up (mind you, I am a mobile player). I mean certain games can only be played on PS4 or PS5, certain Nintendo consoles, I mean my laptop can't support playing Sims so I just don't play it. Do people expect to say in 2025 be playing this game and have to cater to people that play on an iphone 6? no.

  9. I think the reason they r deleting this area is it will become like dragon spine once u collect all puzzles & get all chests we will not visit again it will be all over dragon spine & once inazuma comes no one will even visit it 100%.

  10. I've seen a lot of comments comparing this to Dragonspine. The thing is, Dragonspine features a LOT of new stuffs, like new enemies, frostbearing tree system, and is the debut area of cryo cicins and the cryo hypostasis, who both became part of the abyss. The archipelago basically has no new stuff aside from Maguu and Sea gandolone who'll be moved to Inazuma anyway. No absolute reason for them to stay as they're basically a new area with the same old stuff that you'll find nothing to do with after a while

  11. of course the dlc idea is a good one but i do worry about what they will do if it becomes behind a paywall like the character skins that do nothing but change the style of the clothing. Great video as always hope the content doesn't break the amazing drive and spirit you had for this game.

  12. Maybe they won't permanently delete it, just making a better version of it for future events(it better be, or so help me God-). They might even make it into a pyro Dragonspine in the future. Something like a volcano erupting, making us take pyro damage every second until we find a safe place.

  13. Mihoyo: lets create something for players to do while waiting for Inazuma and the NEW zone. (releases new island)
Dumb Content Creators: What??!! You're gonna delete it??!!!
Mihoyo: When was the last time you went to Dragon Spine?

  15. I'm a mobile only player AR55 and I disagree with the fact that a lack of memory is a problem. My 2 year old P30 pro has 128G+256G. The majority of smartphones are beyond the 64G mark with an option to expand memory with a SDCard. Imo mobile users with less memory have to decide if they want to playing games like genshin or storing a bunch of photos or music on their devices.

  16. got Xingling, Bennet, Beidou, Barbara, Traveller, Diona, Saccharose, Xinyan, Amber, Lisa, Kaeya, Noelle, Chongyun, Fischl, Xingqui, which Team should I use? AR 40. Right now I'm running with Xingling as Main Damage Dealer, Bennet as Support, Beidou also als Support with her ability ans Barbara AS healer. I know i can get a Vetter Team with my characters but I dont know which ist the best

  17. I completely agree. I play on my ipad, and it’s literally the only thing I do on there so I’ve got storage, but I know many people don’t have the space on their device. It’d benefit people SO much

  18. Tbh Genshin should just be pc game, it's too much for mobile. It's very different than Honkai which is still doable on mobile and have many things in it, but Genshin is just not mobile-friendly in my opinion

  19. i am a ar55 player, and my friends want to join the experience of genshin, but they can't because this game is not welcoming for new players and only cater to players that started before 1.1, it's a issue. like i know some ar 45 players who haven't even unlocked all weekly bosses, they are losing so much progress, and instead of giving satisfaction it is only depressing them.
