I do not even understand why this even came up. Mora is the main bottleneck at higher levels and not Wits. I have to save mora for a week to level up 1 talent on 1 character. Raising a new character is pretty much out of the question: I cannot afford the mora cost. Levelling up talenst, weapons and artifacts all costs mora, so the main constraint is MORA:

This is extra true for psychos like me who do map farming routes every day and kill enemies for char xp/mora. I've gotten several characters to 81/90 without spending any resin or wits or anything. Which not only gives me mora from kills, and xp from kills, but ALSO saves on the mora cost to apply that char xp via wits. Edit: What I'd like to see added to the spreadsheet is a way to add calculations for this kind of farming, and see how much it saves and changes your wit/mora needs etc.

Honestly I think the BEST thing to do is that once you have gotten your characters to your personal benchmark (mine is 80/80 for example) you STOP farming for hero wits 10 levels prior (so 70/80). Because honestly mihoyo will continue to have future heroes wits related events. The Rhodea’s rage for example had a 27% increase in heroes wits compared to farming leylines. Just farm the hell out of any events, and in between events get your weapons leveled and farm artifacts. By going about it this way you will naturally get enough wits to 80/90.
The only money I spent on Genshin is battlepass. I didn't consider the math behind it but I just want a way to quickly level up my newly acquired 5 stars and battlepass was the only guarantee materials/weapons in the game. I recently max level my Hu Tao and was glad that I still have quite a decent amount of mora and wits without farming too much

Doesn't the level difference between your characters and the enemies make you do less damage to them if they're more than 10 lvls higher? (like some enemies on abyss 12 being Lv 92)
The reason i did not lvl up my character to lvl 90 is because odd num looks quite unsettling for me although iam almost reach AR 56 ( 80k exp more)😂😂

nice to know but, I only get to bring 1-2 character in coop events, 4 characters in open world events, 8 characters in abyss.. why would I need that much wits and mora?
So what im reading here is, once you get acsend and CAN get to level 90, you should focus on another hero because you get no benefit?

I don't really focus on the "meta" as I like to play this game casually because it's really easy. But you're the only genshin youtuber/streamer I follow and know other than Tuonto because your videos are so well made. I hope genshin gets some sort of "end game" so we can actually put some thought into building, so like Destiny 2 for instance
i got yan fei and zhongli just this week and I used every wits for zhongli and i got only less than 20 left for yan fei, but after just 2-3 I already stacked 100+ from events and stuff. Now Im already at level 70 yan fei with wits to spare and the reason why I cant go higher is because I spent millions of mora already… this video I agree. wits are not that valuable, mora supremacy!
