I only got 2 5 star weapon from the weapon abnner and i admit i will probably wish again on it in the future.
But the reality u need to be ready to to not get what u wish for cuz chance is u will not get what u want unless u have money u rather actualy burn than to use it for anything else.
For low spenders and f2p i definitely dont advise to wish on it even tho i am a low spender and i wished on twice i do not regret it cuz i got wehat i wanted one time for the 1st time and even when i lost it i got a winged jade spear.(so ye i got lucky)
But the 4 star weapons are absolutely cut it to play the game if you realy need banger weapons get one of the battle pass weapon instead or a blackcliff weapon from the shop is the more f2p friendly way to get banger weapons.
BUT)t) as far as bis weapons goes outside of 5 star signature weapons a lot of the 5 star character has 4 star weapons that does super well with them.
TLDR: 5 star weapons are absolutely bands and look neat on their Units but its not needed and u could spend those precious primos on 5 star/4 star units and constelations that will have a way higher impact on how you play the game onward cuz yes i agree some weapons can change the way how u paly the game but the main feature of the gameplay are still the characters. .

Lol, I have 25% success rate on 50-50s in both the limited character and weapon banners.
I have lost the 50-50 on Homa, Engulfing Lightning, and Amos and will never double dip so Optimized is useless. Only won once on Homa rerun.
I don't think the kokomi example is a good one. The donut better than ttds in freeze comps, but the buffs the ttds provides outdamage her personal damage, and in electrocharged teams, if I remember the math correctly, hakushin ring is almost the same damage as donut but with better utility.
I still think it's a good vid tho. Most people don't talk about the weapon banner with this much of nuance.
Always have been a scam.
For me, I rolled for a 5-star weapon and ended up getting the donut. Luckily, I have both Raiden and Kokomi, so either weapon was a win, even if I preferred getting the polearm.
Basically, the advice you gave is the mindset I have. Only roll if both weapons have some value in your party. Understand and accept you may not get the weapon you want.
It seems like straightforward advice, but it’s very surprising that a lot of people don’t carry this mindset when rolling on the weapon banner.
Most of the time, the weapon banner is indeed a scam. Luckily though, both Staff of Homa banners were not scams. the second Homa banner is the only weapon banner I've ever summoned on and I got lucky enough to get the Homa for my Hu Tao. I
The only five star weapons I have are wolves gravestone and the dragon one for itto
I regret not pulling on the song of broken pines and freedom sword banner, I tried to get song of broken pines when it first came out for my Eula and got Aquila favonia and skyward harp. I have Kazuha and Eula level 90, I should’ve pulled!!
