  1. Welcome to Sumeru City!
A small tip for exploring Sumeru: when you fight against those fungus-like monsters, I suggest to avoid using pyro & electro characters, because when you hit those enemies with fire or electro, the loot you get will be mostly inactivated nuclei, instead of normal fungal spores. You will need a lot of normal spores to upgrade Sumeru characters (like Tighnari), but inactivated nuclei are rarely used. Ayaka & Yelan will be a perfect duo for fighting those fungi.

  2. It's great how Genshin gives each region and city a unique feel. … also! … !! when you began your walkabout in Sumeru City, i was shocked when you went past Katherine without saying hello.
    .. also .. i have a crazy theory about Paimon …
Paimon "accidentally" became Traveller's companion by needing Traveller's help. I think she was sent to gift Traveller with element skills when s/he gets to a region's Statue of the Seven.
We think Traveller has no vision .. but really … Paimon is traveller's multi-element living vision.
    /my theory

  3. you wont get fungal spores if you hit fungi with pyro or electro as they drop different materials when they get hit by those 2 elements. you might bench xiangling in sumeru lol

  4. 1:21:44 so the thing with Genshin is……every Archon quest gets a bit political. Because of relations between a nation and the fatui (Mondstadt), Liyue learning to rely on a council of merchants (the Qixing), the Fatui trying to take control of Inazuma from their dictator-ish Archon, and Sumeru gets a bit political as well. I won't spoil anything but that's kinda the thing with this game. There's always gonna be a bit of a political subplot because of the fatui and the Tsaritsa's battle against Celestia. The next nation (Fontaine) is literally the nation of justice and based on France. So that one should be a lot of political intrigue!
